Great until warranty runs out....then turns into a heap of junk
Worked perfectly on carpet or floor tiles....until warranty ran out. Sensor Control simply cuts in and stops machine working effectively, even when all filters have been cleaned and dust bin emptied after every use. Not a great product from a supposedly quality based company
Purchased in November 2021 at Harvey Norman for $450.00.

Considering throwing it out.
Worked well at first, now almost useless. The 'sensor control' system kicks in constantly. Meaning you can never vacuum for more than about a minute, and even then the vacuum sounds like it is struggling, despite multiple and frequent cleans of all the filters. I spent good money on this brand, deciding it was better to buy a 'quality' machine in the hope it would last year's. I reckon a $50 Kmart model would do better. Very very disappointing to see multiple reviews saying the same. I hope this has been removed from sale.
Purchased at RetraVision for $350.00.

Worst vacuum
Still angry at myself 2 years later at being talked into buying this vacuum by the salesperson at Harvey Norman. Worst design ever with the ‘sensor control’ resulting into the machine turning itself off every minute or so. Constantly having to clean it, wandering if there is a dot of dust sitting in something making it turn off. Sometimes what should be 10 min vacuum turns into 40 mins after constantly stopping, pulling apart to clean and trying again. I’ve persisted with this machine purely because of the expensive price tag I paid (wasn’t abl...Read more
e to get a refund when I realised it was a piece of crap because it was ‘technically still working’) now vacuuming has turned into an aggressive exercise where I get so angry and frustrated at the machine. Moral of the story- DO NOT BUY!!
Purchased in June 2021.

Restoring normal operation after the vacuum started to continually stop
Just as the 2 year warrantee expired, the vacuum cleaner started to continuously stop. Bosch undertook a free service even though it was just outside the warrantee period. After service, it did run slightly better but still had the same problem i.e. continuously stopping (even when all filters were removed and it was pumping clean air).
Some hacking restored the suction: make some small holes in the mesh support that holds the foam filter, as accessed at the top of the unit. Experiments showed that the mesh under the foam was blocking air fl...Read more
ow. You can see this mesh in Figure 25d of the user manual ( circled in https://goo.gl/SVtqhn ). I made three 1cm-long cuts, one in each of the 3 sections. Note that this solution might not work for you, but it made our Runn'n vacuum suck as well as it ever had, and has now been working for over 4 months. The 4-star rating relates to the hacked vacuum cleaner.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
What a horrible experience!
Hi,
My husband and I purchased this vacuum from Harvey Norman Oxley about a month ago. After vacuuming our house only a few times, the vacuum started to become faulty. It would not stay on for longer than a minute because it would start flashing "Sensor Control" and then turn off. It was very frustrating as anyone could imagine. **Please note we had emptied the filter bags several times even though we had only used it a few times. We then took to the internet to read the reviews, (something we should have done before we bought it) and discove...Read more

Great Model
Just bought this model, so far its great. Quite, easy to manoeuver easy to clean. Yes the barrel fills up quickly. But still, for me thats not a problem. The great thing about this model was the telescopic tube, great for tall people like me. NO more back pain!! Before taking this model, I was comparing 3 different brands. this one had the best, Quality =price. Not made in CHINA!!!!

Same sensor problem - vacuum continually stopping
I actually knew of this third filter to clean and do it regularly - but for the past 10 months (8 months after warranty finished) I continually have the sensor light come on. Taking it to our local Bosch Service Centre tomorrow, but after reading all the previous reviews of this now discontinued model (I wonder why!), don't have any confidence that the sensor problem will be fixed.
After writing the above and reading many many more reviews, all agreeing that this model has/had a definite SENSOR FAULT, I don't think it is worth my while taki...Read more

will never buy a Bosch product again
Not happy. Small two bedroom house and have to empty vacuum cleaner at least twice to vaguely clean the floor. Mostly the dust just moves around while I try to vacuum. Sent it back for repairs and was told nothing was wrong. Nearly $400 spent on something useless. Customer service was no help. Quite rude sometimes. I will never buy another Bosch product again.

Expensive piece of crap.
I have the same vacuum as everybody else has with exactly the same problem. If you take all the filters out it still has the same problem, so definitely not a dirty filter problem. I have also completely stripped the machine down to just bits, definitely no blockage in the machine. I then reassembled it, same problem. Bosch don't want to know about it. Customer service has probably been told not to acknowledge there is a problem with this unit.

Excellent money value
I have previously owned either a Dyson or an Electrolux. Money was a little tighter when purchasing this one. As a mother of 4 young children, i have to vacuum every day at least once and this vacuum has done me proud!!!
It has great suction, its light and easy to maneuver. I use it on a combination of carpet and tiles. Love it!!!

Worst vacuum cleaner ever!
As with every other review, this vacuum cleaner turns off every 2mins due to the "sensor control technology". I called Bosch and explained my problem, having had the machine for 3 months and having cleaned the filters multiple times. They advised that I take the vacuum for assessment at their maintenance and repairs centre, which I did. After having the vacuum cleaner assessed, i was told that i hadn't cleaned the filters enough after only 3 months of light use and that I needed to replace them. They then charged me $50 for their assessment as ...Read more
there were no physical problems with the vacuum itself, and therefore their assessment wasn't covered by the Bosch warranty. Having replaced the filters, the machine just alarms every two minutes and turns off. This is the worst vacuum i've ever owned, and I regret having been talked into purchasing the vacuum at Harvey Norman, having originally requested a Dyson model. Massive regret, useless customer service. The only compensation would be a complete refund, but given the multiple similar reviews from other customers, Bosch is obviously disinterested in taking responsibility for their faulty product. What a joke.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Biggest piece of crap I’ve ever spent money on
Sensor control constantly comes on which makes it impossible to vacuum.
It doesn’t follow you and does 360’s and constantly flips which so you’re always having to stand it upright again.
so many compartments to clean out, the back broke off within a month.
Parts are breaking within 6 months.
Does not do what it’s meant to.
DO NOT BUY!

Once you locate the 3 rd filter the cut off stops happening
I took mine back twice until someone showed me the third filter there are 2 finger holes near where the hose connects, open it up and you will see a cone shaped filter. Once you clean that, the vacuum works fine.
It’s badly described in the instruction book. Cleaning this filter fixes the problem

DO NOT BUY THIS USELESS VACUUM
This is the worse vacuum cleaner I have ever had. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON IT. Obviously there is a problem if it is discontinued, but we have been left with a useless machine. The sensor light comes on even when filters are clean and no blockages. Spoke to the service department and all they did was email the instruction book to show where all the filters are.

Expensive waste of money
Sensor light keeps coming on, filter has been cleaned and no blockages, so there is no reason for it to be shutting down and not working. I have used it twice and now it doesn't work as sensor light comes on and it shuts down after about 60 seconds of use. I paid $399 for it so that works out to be a $200 cost per time I have used it. Wow Bosch are laughing all the way to the bank on this. So many more people have been ripped off too. Unacceptable Bosch. Do the correct thing and refund our money. Selling someone a faulty product for financial gain is called fraud!!!

It was an awful vacuum cleaner.
We bought it at harvy norman at the price $388 a year ago. And, it broke down after about 6months.
We took it to harvy norman, what they said was that we will need to pay for it if it is not fault vacuum itself, and the staff there also mentioned that most of time it is not fault vacuum itself. I hate bosch vacuum i would never buy anything from bosch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Piece of Junk! Do not buy!
Worst machine ever - cannot perform sole task of a vacuum - to suck up dust and dirt. I have a small 2 bed apartment and yet it gets clogged each use! I need to clean the filter halfway through every single clean. There is a clear design fault. Also the power cord it's so sensitive and winds itself up at the slightest pull so effectively unplugs itself from the socket multiple times each use. Do not buy this vacuum. I am furious that I got sold this machine by a pushy sales person at Harvey Norman. And I see it has now been discontinued. I miss my Miele!

Total rubbish
This vacum only works for 3 months, because the many filters block up. Now it needs the filters cleaned every week and the vacum still shuts down. I use it in a small apartment in thailand on hard floors. I am disappointed as this was an expensive mistake, I see even Bosch agree it's rubbish as they have discontinued this model. Time to retire it to the bin as I can't find replacement filters. I was a great fan of bosch.

Warning- no suction, DO NOT BUY
Quiet yes, and you can change the volumne - that's the only function which works on this poorly made appliance. It won't pick up anything from carpet, & it turns itself off well before the bagless container fills, and any stray hair will bind quickly to the filter & IT shuts OFF.
- I've know been given the "Run around" by Bosch who now want me to foot the bill for "an assessment" which THEY requested, although the product had been recalled!?!?
