We purchased this oven under 2 years ago, and the touch screen stopped working within the warranty period. It took Bosch a week and a half to respond to us, then when the technician who was meant to do the inspection was ill, it took another week and a half for the second one to come out. Bought this oven along with the CMG633B.1B compact oven with microwave function to go in our brand new kitchen. After 25 years with our old oven, the last 12 months not having it working at all, our new oven is a god send. Cooks beautifully BUT takes a while getting use to the preprogrammed settings, time and heat settings which differ significantly from our old oven. We chose this oven as in our prior renovation we had the older series equivalent and were extremely happy with it. The newer model (serie 8) is not user friendly and my husband and I curse at it at least once a month. Yes it cooks - however this should be a non-negotiable with ovens at this price bracket. Good little oven because It is soooo quiet. Preheats quickly and bakes ok. Trays are good size and clean easily. Oven gets VERY steamy and sometimes there is water dripping from the bottom shelf into the door hinge after the cook. The dial does not behave most times -- gets jammed and it is hard to move it to change temperature or time. Baking is usually uneven for cookies on the trays or cakes....one side gets cooked more. I bought this oven from Appliance Online and got it installed from licensed carpenter. We noticed that door is not aligned and oven does not sit properly in the cabinet. My carpenter showed me that the diagonals differ by few millimetres. When I raised complaint for the first time they warned me if it is installation fault I will be charged. - Oven Heats decently when it decides it wants to operate.

Cons-
- Open Oven at any decent temp and Steam will scald you so stand back.
- Try and set timer and press start and it doesnt start it sits there waiting for you to press start again. Set time and wait for it to start it sometimes does, sometimes doesnt. Renovated my whole kitchen and purchased everything for Bosch. Our oven sat in the Garage for 3 months while I Kitchen was completed. Once it was installed I use the pre set settings.
