My dishwasher is displaying h:10 & h:07 if I try to press any button CL is displayed. I have attempted to remove child lock by holding start button, without effect. Any ideas?

Hi Carina,
Thanks for the question regarding your dishwasher.
h:01-h:24 displays the time delay, this delays the start of the cycle for x amount of hours. To remove time delay follow the instruction for *timer programming* on page 21 of the appliance user manual.
If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744 to discuss.

Dijamkasked
Hello all,
I understand this model of bosch dishwasher is a free standing type. However, can this model still be installed as a built-in type?
If not then is there any scope of it being kept above a front-loading washing machine?
I'm asking these questions because space is a constraint in our kitchen.
My question also applies to sms50m22au model. Thanks

We've had our bosche 28au for about 5 or 6 yrs now. It has started turning off and on independantly during any wash cycle. Could this be the control board needing to be replaced? It doesnt display an error code and can continue to turn on and off the whole day. Thanks in advance.

Dear William,
It sounds like the electrics could be a problem, but I am not a tradie so it might be worth having one take a look. But that costs a lot of money that could well be put towards a new dishwasher! Your Bosch has definitely not lasted the distance, just like mine. Good luck!
Ops, question entered under wrong model. Mine is the sms63m08au/28 and ive discovered that my fault is a common issue and often bosch have paid for the repair which could have cost between $500-$800. I'll be calling to see if they will help me also.
So if you have a fault consider calling them for great customer service!

Hey Bosch. It would be really useful if you actually answered Sue's question. The manual states that the machine display will show A:00 however following the instructions A:00 is not displayed. Can you please post the correct instructions. Thanks David
Jooleyasked
Hi, I'm interested in buying the SMS50M28AU and I want to see the warranty details before I buy but can't find anything online. I rang the customer service number and the English woman was not at all helpful. Also I want to know about the dishwasher salt - what type of salt is it? what is it's use? The customer service person said it was to stop rust - how can that be when salt causes rust? Where can I read the 2 year warranty? Is there a 10 year anti-corrosive warranty? I wish to read that as well? Is there also a 10 year warranty on the Eco Silence drive? I've seen it mentioned on some models but not all.

Bosch H.Bosch Home Appliances
Hi Jooley,
Thanks for your question regarding the Bosch SMS50M28AU dishwasher.
The salt dispensers in all of our dishwashers are disconnected for Australian models as the drinking water in Australia is not hard enough to require this function. The salt is designed to soften the water running from the tap into the appliance to prevent damaged to the appliance overtime, this is for countries with hardened water.
You can read the conditions of the manufacturing warranty here: http://www.bosch-home.com.au/warranty.html
You can read about the 10 year internal rust warranty on dishwashers here: http://www.bosch-home.com.au/customer-service/bosch-features-a-z/dishwashers.html?feature=Stainless steel interior tub~236903#Stainless steel interior tub
In regards to the Eco Silence drive for dishwashers the warranty for this is covered within the standard 2 year warranty, it is the eco silence drive on washing machines that has a 10 year warranty.
If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744 to discuss further.

Hi. My husband and I have just purchased a new BOSCH dishwasher SMS50M22AU.
In the manual it states that after raising the top basket to ensure that it is the same height on both sides, otherwise the appliance door cannot be closed and the upper spray arm will not be connected to the water circuit.
However, in the model that has just been delivered to our house the door to the dishwasher will only close when it is either at the bottom level or if only one side or the other has been raised. If both sides are raised to the same level it won't close.
Should I been concerned?

Can someone please tell me the difference between the Bosch SMS50M22AU / SMS50M28AU Dishwasher? They are different prices (and model numbers) but are bunched together in these reviews. Which one is better? :)
2 answers
As far as I am aware, the only difference is that the SMS50M22AU is a white freestander and the SMS50M28AU is a stainless steel freestander. Other than that I don't think there is a difference. They both have exactly the same specifications other than one is white and the other is stainless. Where they are made? whether the stainless is manufactured in a different country to the white, I don't know.
