This bosch front loader machine always has mold issue in the rubber gasket even though i always leave the door open. After I replaced the rubber gasket, the pcb is now burnt out. Worst washing machine ever

published

I convinced my wife to buy this model and its performance is shocking, the towels are like sand paper we have tried extra rinse, vinegar, and all these things and more to no avail.
The only good thing about it is the low water use.
Can`t wait to be rid of it no wonder at`s off the market

Less than a year old and door has broken Twice - Model WAE22466AU

published

So so so disappointed. Had this machine since March 2016. Within a number of weeks / months the door had stripped the screws and fell off. Took near 6 weeks or more to repair / get spare part and fit. Spent loads of money and time at the laundrymat and friends places doing the washing for a 6 person family. Fixed and went well.
Feb 2017 - Door has broken again today. Not happy again and expecting to spend loads (time and money) on washing again.
Can't wait to see how efficient Bosch is this time - Beginning to think from these posts that they have trouble lining the door up properly with the bowl and rubber boots and doors are being destroyed - Model WAE22466AU

Bosch front loader leaking water

published

I bought Bosch fron loader less than three weeks ago from good guys i used it 3 times only and i noticed water leaking from the door i have called Bosch customers service they were terrible! They told me i need to pay 220$ for repairs! I have 5 years gold member waaranty with good guys and they arent helpful at all! It is clear to me after reading these reviews that this particular product is faulty. i paid 1250$ for a piece of junk, Bosch should recall this product just like they did to the dishwasher, a word of advice, dont think of buying this machine!

Bosch makes fantastic washing machines!!!

published

We bought a Bosch WAE24460AU in Jan 2011, last weekend while in spin cycle it tripped the circuit breaker and then stopped spinning. I learned that ‘worn motor brushes’ could be a course. I took a look and sure enough they were worn down to less than 1cm. I replaced them at the cost of AU$78 and the machine is working like a charm again. We are really happy with this Bosch - 5 ½ years with no trouble till now and this was just ware – we use the machine about 6-10 times a week on average. So… we’ll buy a Bosch again, that’s for sure.

Dont cover warranty

published

I have had bosch machines for years. My first machine blow up and credit to them they covered itwith warranty .Knowing how to use these machines .I put a nightie and a childs shirt in for a quick rinse 15 minute cycle. When I opened to door to remove the nightie the boot seal was out and torn from the outside in .There was nothing on the nightie or my sons size 4 t shirt.A technician come out and couldn't fint the reason for it contacted Bosch about it and they have stated it is not covered .Buyers beware and buy something that has good warranty and covers all that isn't customers fault.

Have had this since 2011, WAE24462AU, Have used it for washing my mechanic cloths and normal casual cloths without a fault. still washing cloths clean as if it was still brand new. IF you maintain it properly, Clean the filter, drain the machine and do a empty hot wash cycle every 3 months, like you're supposed to, it will treat your cloths and your investment for a long time coming.
Clean cloths
Can be noisy at time, but depends on the balance of the load

Hi David, thanks for your feedback. There is a way to adjust the signal noise by following a few steps. Please refer to page 5 of your manual, which outlines how to adjust the signal noise. Thanks, BoschHome AU.

So Disspointed...Error code E18

published

Bought this washing machine from the Good guys after reading fairly good reviews online, but to say we are disappointed is an under statement, we have had the machine for 2 months and have nothing but problems with the E18 code, every single wash throws up the error code, we have changed the inlet and outlet pipes twice, every time we clear out the filter on the bottom right of the machine, we are still waiting for Good guys and Bosch to reply back to us.
nothing yet as we havent been able to do a complete wash.
E18 error code every single wash.

Replace worn brushes and problem solved

Craig
Craig

Yep already did that as they were worn down and still not working, most likely a motor issue so it's headed for the scrap heap, not great from Bosch, expected the machine to last way more than 7 years.

I had this machine for 6 years, works okay until yesterday, machine turns on, only few minutes machine stopped, then turned off, total blank on display . I restart, it is same problems over again, even turn on spin circle, it stopped and turn off few minutes later, so, the machine is dead, unable to use it.
We are only using 2 washers every week, the machine is only 6 years old, is it normal life expectancy of Bosch washing machine?we always take good care of it per manual. Our previous cheap brand front load washing machine lasted more than 10 years
Can you advise how much will It cost to replace the faulty parts?
