Worked great for a week
For the first week this iron was working great.
Previous iron was a philips azure and the steam was never good.
This Braun was ticking all the boxes with quick reheat, large water jacket and especially steam was plentiful and strong even on the level it was set at out of the box at level 3.
Only issue i had was the handle was a little loose and it was a bit hard to see the thermostat adjustment as its obscured by the handle and setting it was guess work.

the water tank was filled but within a few shots of steam it just wouldnt work as if the button was disconnected or something. Obviously the button was fine because once the water tank was refilled from say 3/4 tank to full the steam would be ok for a couple of shots again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Serviceable, but not much more
The Braun steam iron is adequate but not much more. It is well made and feels comfortable when in use with enough weight to it but is not overly heavy that it becomes tiring. Taking note of the advised heat settings it delivers a good flow of steam without drips. The steam flow gradations are a bit optimistic though with no steam evident from 1 to 2 but seems to come on vigorously from 3 onwards. ivers extra steam when using a steam setting, though if used with no steam and the burst was used, steam is produced but not much. A feature of the iron is Precision Shot which is meant to generate a strong burst of steam in the horizontal and vertical positions. It sort of works but is mostly rather feeble even at the max heat setting and priming it first. The manual shows steam being shot out of two nozzles at the front but this does not happen. In the vertical position it is useless and is unable to steam clothes hanging up, despite the claims made in the manual. Overall, it irons well enough but the extra steam settings are not particularly good.
Purchased in November 2021 for $115.00.

Linen Perfect
At last an iron that really does get hot enough to iron pure linen and pure cotton. Since purchasing this iron my steam generator iron has been left untouched and all my ironing has been done with the Braun. It is heavier than most similar irons making it ideal for those fabrics which require pressing as well as heat.

Exceptional!
This is the first Braun Iron I've owned and it's fabulous! It's a reasonable weight, without being too heavy to use. It heats up quickly, it's quiet, it has a huge water tank. The number of variations of steam and heat you can use it staggering, obviously if you use more steam, you use more water but I haven't found this to be that much of a problem. The only small difficulty I've had is finding a wall mounted storage holder large enough to take this product as it is quite deep, but even this has now been resolved. I can't recommend this product highly enough. It took me quite a while to make a choice on which iron I would go for and I'm so glad I picked this one. Don't hesitate any longer, you won't be disappointed with this Braun.

Very disappointing
I bought this iron based on the good reviews I read. Sadly my experience was not. I unpacked the new iron and filled the water tank as directed. The water ran straight out at the bottom of the iron. Didn't even get to use it. Returned it to the store and they ordered a new one in for me. Got home and unpacked iron and filled the water, switched it on and started ironing. My joy was short lived. taff member took the display model and tested it. On this one the continous steam boost did not work. I gave up on Braun and chose another brand. I would like to thank the Bing Lee staff for being very helpful and friendly. Maybe the universe is trying to tell me that I shouldn't iron .Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
