An affordable and reliable coffee machine
As is usually the way with Breville products, they are well made and last a decent amount of time. When I left my last job, I missed the morning coffee that was made in this machine at work. So I hunted around for the same model because I knew what it output and how reliable it was.

Cheap and Simple
I've had this coffee machine for a few months now, and it's been a simple and easy machine to use. The coffee brewed is consistent, and of good quality in my standards. It's quite easy to clean after usage, and is quick to set up and brew. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a budget coffee machine.

Disappointed
My old Breville Aroma Fresh coffee machine went to god after 20 yrs?, maybe older and I decided to buy a new one. There are not a lot these appiances on the market, so my research showed. Big W have a Sunbeam for $59 and Breville $69. I felt like I trusted Breville because of my tried & true friend, but I don't trust electronics. lol
The same day my old Breville Coffee machine failed I made the trip into town to buy what I thought would be the replacement of the love of my life, the Breville Aroma BMC600. I brought it home and followed the ...Read more
instructions & looked forward to my great cup of coffee! I managed to make 1 lot of coffee and the machine lost the plot! It turned itself off! The coffee was great & I manually grind my coffee for a courser grind to suit this kind of machine. Pity the machine wasn't up to the task. The electronics died before the completion of one use. I returned the defective product to the retailer today & they replaced it. Here's hoping the new one will make my coffee love life complete. I will keep you updated

Dripolator American style coffee
I got used to coffee odne this way in Japan and I tend to think of it as a different drink than a latte. I just make a big old jug of it first thing and go back for top ups as the day moves through. Its simple to operate and doesn't even need paper filters which is great. Keeps the coffee warm too, which is good

Easy to use!
The coffee produced by the coffee machine smells really good in the morning even though we tried a cheap coffee from the supermarket. It did not disappoint us at all. But one thing that upset me was, it doesn't come with a manual (I don't know why) that's why we need to watch online tutorials about setting it up. But the machine itself works perfectly fine and we enjoy our freshly brewed coffee to start our day.

I love the smell of coffee in the morning!
This was recommended to me by my work friend - she has owned one for years. I am loving how quick and easy it is to make coffee in the morning! It takes so little time, is very easy to use and the coffee tastes amazing! I have converted from milky coffee to black coffee with this Breville Machine.

I love this Coffee Machine !!!
I use to have a Delonghi full auto coffee machine but the coffee was often lukewarm and after four years of use the grinder mechanism failed. Too costly to repair. This Breville machine gives a great result (Hot Coffee) with minimal effort and a nice taste. If you are like me and don't mind the taste of American style drip coffee, I recommend this! I buy Aldi coffee beans, grind them up in my mixer and it tastes great. Drip coffee offers nearly the same amount of caffeine as an espresso so I am happy!

Wake up and smell the coffee!
Really happy with this clever coffee maker. it does a couple of things that I wish they all did:
1/ It has a MESH filter basket YES! That mean no more searching around for paper filters and running out at the wrong time
2/ It has a timer that actually works! YES again! It means I can load it up at night and quite literally wake up and smell the coffee"
OK I have only used the second function once but I really like the idea of it. This coffee maker is very well designed and does a great ll round job. I would definitely buy the exact same one if I had to replace it because it works well in all departments and that mesh filter is a winner

American Style Drip Coffee
This machine makes classic American style drip coffee like in America and common in Japan too. It has one big advantage and that is a wire mesh filter basket that lasts indefinitely as opposed to wasting money on filters (and finding you dont have one when you need it) It works perfectly and gives great results. You can set the timer too and wake up and literally smell the coffee!

Was fantastic until it suddenly stopped working (only 5 months old)!
We loved our machine until it stopped working half way through a brew when only 5 months old. It makes delicious coffee that you can make in advance. It makes hot coffee quickly and keeps it super hot in the jug. The jug and coffee basket were easy to clean but it has a design flaw; when you lift the lid to fill the water reservoir the condensation drips down the back of the machine. We dealt with this by opening it partially to allow it to drop back into the reservoir or coffee basket before opening it fully (you need it to open fully so that ...Read more
you can get the jug in to fill up the reservoir again). Before it broke we loved it and used it daily. Even though we're sure the warranty will mean we get a replacement, the fact that it has broken when only 5 months old means we can't recommend it. The environmental impact of non renewable resources being used to make products that fail so quickly is too great. We'll go back to using a hand press machine with our stovetop kettle (which incidentally we bought after our electric Breville kettle broke too soon).Similar opinion? Quick, easy, and good for the environment
I was quite concerned about all the wastage created by the pods' machine that I have and thought of giving this a go. Great coffee, it has a hotplate underneath to keep it hot for a long time, less noise and so easy to clean. It is a very simple machine that delivers a good tasty coffee asking almost nothing. A much needed appliance.
Just keep an eye on the internal section beneath the metal filter because coffee grime builds up there and it may affect the taste of your coffee later. And don't pour the coffee powder with the filter inside the machine, take it off first, as some powder may go out and slip into the drink. Besides that, it is excellent!

American Style Coffee
This is near perfect if you like American style drip coffee which I do.
Its super easy to use. Just put the coffee ground sin to the filter (metal so no paper filters to buy) add water and hit the power - that's it!
You get quite a volume of coffee too more than enough to get you through the day with multiple refreshes. It has controls to set the delay timer and have coffee in the mornings ready but I find its just as easy to do it when I need it as its so simple.
Its a small machine and doesn't take up much space and is very easy to clean.
Recommended.

Drip coffee easy to use
The initial set up of the product was a little confusing but once the set up is complete the product was very easy to use, and worth it! I was able to use the beans from my favourite coffee shop with the use of a seperately purchased grinder, the coffee was great just like in the store! My favourite function is being able to set the machine to brew a fresh pot at your desired time so it’s ready when you wake up!

Great machine
I have purchased this coffee machine 5 times over the last 8 years for office use. We use ours for 3 to 4 pots of coffee per day, so usually need to replace the machine after 2 years (the water pump eventually fails). Have not found another filter that works as easily, with a timer.

This drip coffee machine has been a life saver. Its very easy to use and fast. Just fill the metal filter with grounded beans, fill the water press power and your on your way.
To clean just empty and wash the mesh filter and clean the jug. Easy as. Well worth the 69 bucks ish from The Good Guys Taren Point

Solid product, good value
Well designed product and easy to clean.
You can make a lot of coffee but the reocmmended ratio is a but weak. I suggest adding more coffee to produce a stronger brew.
The only downside really is that you must make a minimum 4 cups (according to the manual) which iw too much for one person. However I just put the jug in the fridge and use it for iced coffee.

I bought a Breville coffee machine in May 2022. It worked fine and in December I had problems. The red light came on but coffee didn’t filter through. I took it back to the store and it was replaced. 2nd machine has been fine until this morning. Same problem with light on but it won’t make coffee! I’m quite disappointed as it’s a fantastic machine and coffee is excellent. Please let me know what needs doing!! It’s lockdown and the store is still closed! I’m contacting you from Namibia, so cannot call helpline. Thank you...... J Stafford

Sounds like your machine needs cleaning, it is blocked. Add two thirds water and one third white vinegar to tank. Place jug in position as if you are making coffee and just turn on. Let it drip through and then tip out jug. Run a tank of clean water through coffee machine and then it should be good to go, if not repeat process. Rinse out filter and jug to get rid of vinegar aftertaste. If you don't want to use vinegar you can purchase a descaling cleaner from the supermarket. You should clean your machine approx. every month, if you use daily.
Thank you. I will give it a try and let you know.
Good morning again. I have tried the cleaning process, but still nothing!!! Help please!!!!!

My coffee always tastes burnt coming out of this machine. Is there any temperature control for the water? Or, what temperature should the water be going into the carafe?

I have just bought the BCM600 and when I put water in the tank it started to drip straight away even though I didn't have the carafe on the hotplate. It stops dripping when there is about 1/2 a cup of water in the tank but as soon as I put more water in it, it starts to drip again.
