I have had a cockroach infestation and recently found a cockroach crawling between the oven door panels. I have no idea how it got in there and even less idea how to remove it. Breville service line has told me that the door is not a serviceable item. Does that mean that the oven is now useless?

Why won’t this microwave pop a bag of microwave popcorn? It only seems to pop half the bag?
2 answers
I have had the same trouble with other microwaves and have discovered that if the wattage isnt high enough it wont pop the popcorn.
I did have a microwave with 900 watt output only to discover that I needed to put the popcorn in twice to get the full bag done and not once, due to the wattage of the microwave.
I do hope that assists you

How do I Reheat? manual says it automatically calculates the length of time required to reheat.
I press Reheat and start, but it goes for 1 second.
2 answers
I don't tend to ever use the reheat button on any microwave I've had..could never work it out either. I just use a lower power (60%) then whatever time I think it requires.
I usually just hit the start button and it gives me 30 seconds, hit it again and it adds another 30 seconds.

I just bought ine of these microwaves. The turntable very noisey and jerky and yes i hv it sitting in place properly. Is this normal?

When ours was new you could hear it of course, but it got insanely loud after about a year. You probably should consider taking it back if it is very loud already.

Having been given this unit 13 months ago as a house warming gift I was a bit disappointed to have it work flawlessly (besides the light dying 3-4 weeks after we received it) and then stop heating anything this morning. Good microwave has been looked after and kept clean. Is it worth fixing or should I buy something else?
3 answers
Personally I feel it would cost to much to get fixed, unless you could do it yourself. I went back to a free Panasonic. So much quieter.
I've heard back from Breville & they told me I had to deal directly with Briscoes as they bring these microwaves in themselves from somewhere, but as I have no receipt Briscoes can't refund or replace my microwave. I have since purchased another microwave as I was told it would not be worth it to get this one repaired.

Hi Jo, how did you get on with this issue of crackling noise? Just realised today mine is doing exactly the same when its just plugged in. Should i continue to use it?
Hi I took it back to target and got a refund. The girl had no idea. I also recorded the sound of it on my phone ...to keep for evidence.

I have only been using mine for about a month. Today it stopped working completely and the panel and interior light went out as well. Tried a different power point, but same thing happened, so it is definitely not the house power. What do I do now,did not keep the receipt,so where do I stand?

My brand new BMO300 doesn't heat the food at all (I can't even melt cheese!) I have used it as per instructions and adjusted the power level to 100 yet still no melted cheese for me. Whhhhhy....?! Please help!
2 answers
I don't think it's a very reliable microwave but it should melt cheese. I would take it back....sounds like a fault?
Should work perfectly out of the box, do take it back to the place of purchase for exchange.
They are a good microwave regardless of this issue.
Kimasked
Has anyone else found this microwave to be very noisy during operation?
6 answers
No, not at all... contact Breville if under w/tee and they will advise you to take it back to the place of purchase.
Thanks, only bought it yesterday- have to wait until they are back from the weekend. I'll call them Monday. Such a disappointment but guess this happens from time to time.
Cheers, Kim.
Yes. Occassionally it makes very odd noises. As ive stated previously in my review, i really like the design and the fact you can close the door quitely, but it really is a sub optimal appliance if you need to use a microwave frequently and for more than heating bottles. I believe this is a poor quality machine....but with an xcellent external design. It's a shame.
