Basic and functional

published

It is ideal for my daily cooking. I use it to warm leftover, defrost and heat up my milk a little bit to go well with Milo. It is easy to use. These is no excess buttons and unwanted functions. It has all I need and just right. This model has a capacity of 34L, and it's totally suitable for a big family. It works quietly and the beeping wouldn't be too loud but you can just hear when the food is ready. I am glad we bought this with a good price althought we had to carry it back home by bus when the time we didn't have a car.

Perfect for the price

published

I received this product on sale for a steal of a price. Having said that I would've been open to paying a little more as it's certainly a worthwhile product. The features and settings are straight forward and easy to use. The handle system is robust and feels more sturdy than a button open system. The system can sometimes be noisy but for the amount of time that it's on it's not much of a con. It cooks food well, as long as you know what you're doing and spills are easy to clean with a removable glass play and wheel carousel.

EXCELLENT

published

Does everything you need a microwave to do. Heats up food quicker than other microwaves I have used. Has a handy weight defrost that works well, doesn't make too mush noise, easy to clean and the handle makes it less likely for opening problems in the future. Would definitely recommend for someone looking for a mid range microwave.

Fits perfectly

published

This microwave is nice and modern looking aswell as being functional. This is the first microwave I have owned that cooks evenly without making the food soggy. I highly recommend this microwave to anyone looking to modernize their kitchen. This microwave also has a quiet spun whilst in use that cannot be heard from the next room.

Basic but effective microwave

published

From my limited experience using microwaves, they're all pretty much the same. This one is a lot more stripped back in terms of features, but that's good imo. It looks aesthetically pleasing and has a large 34L capacity which were the 2 main drawcards for me. It's also solidly built and easy to clean. It seems to be a pretty standard microwave loudness, maybe slightly quieter.

The WEIRD appliance I'd never had

published

I bought this because my Panasonic Flatbed has died suddenly and had good reviews. It was fine at the start even though it lacked of timer function, then it came weird noise like booting up the CPU after 12 months' warranty. I received helpless from Support Team as it's out of warranty. SO DISAPPOINT.....

Good microwave although had one problem

published

It's been cooking pretty good. Well built with easy functions. However at one point it kept tripping the fuse switch at the main power whenever it was plugged in. Was out of warranty by about 3 months, which was disappointing so I left it unplugged for a few days plugged then plugged in again and has worked fine since. Not sure if this is a good thing.

We bought a second one after 10 years

published

We bought one of these nearly 10 years ago and it's worked fine but died last week . It started making a clicking geiger counter type of noise even when it wasn't running, I assume it was the magnetron . For $180 we just land filled it and bought another one . These newer ones have the exact same model number but do have one extra button on the front and breville pressed into the stainless surround on the front .
Nothing fancy but it does the job albeit a bit noisily . Easy to clean and after nearly 10 years of light use it still looked like new with no surfaces changing colour with age or corrosion . i guess in another 10 years we'll buy another .

Excellent microwave, best I've ever had

published

Best microwave I've bought hands down. Great size inside, love the handle (no more finger marks from the push button ones), noise is about the same as others (not too loud), simple, easy to use. I really only use it for heating up and basic functions so for the price it's perfect. Highly recommend it.

Good Microwave, only one repair needed thus far.

published

This microwave was a little more expensive than what I wanted to spend however it was well worth it. It hasn't had any issues with the microwave aside from a timing issue which was swapped over when I returned it to the Good Guys. Very happy with it aside form that.

Does what it says on the box

published

Bought this as we had other Breville appliances which were reliable. Has great functions for different foods, although I it does have a 'cheat button' on the start as well - 30 second increment. Which is handy for things like steamed veggies.
Easy to use with the presets. Once you read the manual of course!
Looks fabulous.
Been going strong for 2 years without a hitch. Breville are just a name you can rely upon.

I have had a cockroach infestation and recently found a cockroach crawling between the oven door panels. I have no idea how it got in there and even less idea how to remove it. Breville service line has told me that the door is not a serviceable item. Does that mean that the oven is now useless?

Why won’t this microwave pop a bag of microwave popcorn? It only seems to pop half the bag?

I have had the same trouble with other microwaves and have discovered that if the wattage isnt high enough it wont pop the popcorn.
I did have a microwave with 900 watt output only to discover that I needed to put the popcorn in twice to get the full bag done and not once, due to the wattage of the microwave.
I do hope that assists you
