Looks really smart
Use this microwave oven everyday and its been good and reliable. It heats up food quickly and evenly but it does make tremendously loud beeps at the end- Not good if you've got sleeping babies. I have found the quick heat button invaluable and the unit does look quite smart.

Unsatisfied
Nice on the eyes and easy to use but I'm disappointed with its ability to heat up food which is its primary purpose for us. I wonder why my old Sharp microwave used to heat up twice as much as this one when they're both 2000W. Won't buy Breville again.

OK Microwave
Good family size and fast heating, it has all the basis function you need.
It is quite noisy though, the finish beep is annoying, I have been trying to pause the heating process before it reaches zero so it stays quiet!
I will not buy a Breville for our next microwave, maybe Sharp.

Functional Microwave
I previously had an older model Breville very similar to this, and replaced it last year. I have to say, this model is much more stylish and sleek, but there is one feature that I really miss from my old microwave. When on the defrosting setting, my old microwave used to beep at the half way mark, and I would then turn the meat over. This one does not do this, so I usually just half it on defrost for half the time I normally would, turn it over, and set it again.
I only use my microwave minimally, occasionally reheating or defrosting food, and...Read more
this microwave suits my needs almost perfectly while looking stylish at the same time. It also arrived with a broken plate, but Breville were exceedingly quick and lovely to deal with with replacing it.

Good solid microwave
Really easy, simple, no fuss microwave. Good size without being bulky. Fits a large dinner plate or microwave steamer. The cooking is fairly even, and consistent. Its not too loud and doesn't have a pile of useless features.
I have bought this same microwave for my mum as I was so happy with it.

Good reliable working horse
This has been a good selection. Looks good, strong solid heating.
Simple to use, can't go wrong.
Settings are easy to work, not too many buttons to overcomplicate things.
Not noisy.
Medium size.
Feels sturdy and well built. Metal finish is nice, easy to clean....
Very happy with purchase. Would buy again.

Good product
I chose this microwave due to price, colour, size, sturdiness. My last microwave must have been leaking as the internet would stop working when it was on. That was a Panasonic Inverter. With getting this new one, I needed to match it to the kitchen, which meant getting a black or stainless steel machine and not a white one. That limited my choices. Then I wanted something not tiny, not expensive, and that seemed like it wouldn't leak due to a sturdy door. I found it in this Breville and so far I have been happy with it. IT doesn't have a...Read more
s many functions or settings as the Panasonic Inverter did. But, that doesn't really bother me as I didn't use them. I am satisfied with how it heats and the level of noise it produces. So far, so good.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Not so great
At first this seemed like a decent microwave, but when the microwave was a few weeks out of warranty it started playing up, making weird sounds and taking a lot longer to heat up than it used to. at the $199 price point I would have expected more from it.

Been used it for a year and keep strong
Bought this microwave from Myer and we can say it is a reliable microwave as we have used it almost a year.
We love the handle it stands iut from the microwave and it is easy to open unlikeany other microwave where you need to press the button or the handle is on the sides.
It has many function and 3 different heat settings. The easy part is you can just press the star button and it will add 30 second to the time.
The noise of the microwave is so loud that my kids sometimes wakes up due to its loudness.

Excellent quality, no issues at all!
Excellent microwave – been using for several years. Easy to clean, quiet to operate. 1100W power is ideal for residential use. Size is perfect and easily fits on Benchtops. Highly cost effective options compared to some other brands. Programmed cook features are also very useful. Will definitely recommend for long term use.

Best microwave ever!
I absolutely love this microwave. It looks beautiful and it's so simple to use. It has an awesome capacity, and the pull handle is great! Two more of my family members bought the same microwave after mine because they loved it too. Hasn't had any issues so far, very happy!

Ok, making weird noises after 14 months
Look, it's a budget price microwave that looks pretty nice. It does what it needs to do.
My partner purchased our BMO300 /A from the good guys in September 2015, and it's been a reliable little unit, until the last 2 months. It still works, but it makes a strange rattly sound even as long as it's plugged into mains. The only way I can describe it is the sound a geiger counter (device for measuring radioactivity) makes in the movies. It's a little disconcerting so we switch it off at the mains now, which is annoying as the plug us under a bench and tricky to reach.
I'm worried it's going to set fire at some stage.

Wouldn't Recommend-only lasted just over 2 years
I bought this product in January 2015 and it blew up in April 2017. It had worked well, cooked well, and was easy to use. I was happy with it, until it failed spectacularly with sparks and flashing. This product did not have a long enough working life for me to recommend it.

Wouldnt recommend.
Purchased this microwave yesterday 10/4/2017 because I had read some good reviews. Sorry I bought it. When in use the noise is quite loud and while I understand that they all make some noise this one is very loud. Rang Breville customer service and all the operator could say was to return it to The Good Guys and compare it with a shop model. I am disabled and this makes this task a bit difficult. These things should be sold with a db rating and ear plugs.

Wouldn't recommend
Bought from Target just on a year ago - had my last microwave (a Panasonic) for just shy of 30 years. This one overheats the plates and under heats the food .... Looks nice ... easy to keep clean but would not buy again or recommend to anyone to buy this brand

Been a good microwave until now.
This breville microwave has been good to us for 2 years. However over the past month the beeper volume has been getting lower and lower then it would be ok for a week now it is back to being really quiet. Looks like some brands have beeper volume you can adjust but can't find anything for this. Heats still fine so think we will wait and see if it continues to survive.

Questions & Answers
RBIasked
I have had a cockroach infestation and recently found a cockroach crawling between the oven door panels. I have no idea how it got in there and even less idea how to remove it. Breville service line has told me that the door is not a serviceable item. Does that mean that the oven is now useless?

Why won’t this microwave pop a bag of microwave popcorn? It only seems to pop half the bag?
2 answers
I have had the same trouble with other microwaves and have discovered that if the wattage isnt high enough it wont pop the popcorn.
I did have a microwave with 900 watt output only to discover that I needed to put the popcorn in twice to get the full bag done and not once, due to the wattage of the microwave.
I do hope that assists you
