I made focaccia the other day, decided to use the kneading tools. Overall, this made my life easy. Beautiful dough consistency. The power from the mixer is strong. There was no struggle with the kneading. Very durable with cake batter, start on 1 and every now and then give it a shot of boost. The whole idea of the handheld is saving using the larger mixer ie. kitchen aid etc.
Quick, durable and easy to use. Hope this helped.

I replaced Breville the Handy and Store Mixer - Silver
LHM150SIL with the same mixer ...... but whilst I like the mixer it only seems to have 1 speed ..... very fast ... There is no change in the speed .... this is why I replaced it.

Mine has 5 speeds 1-5, I have only used mine on 1 so don't know what the other speeds are like. I have only used mine a couple times and found speed 1 ample

Thank you, I appreciate your response. I would prefer a slower speed for 'folding in' .... I find the speed doesn't change, noticeably when I increase the number. I guess it is the way it is. Bests,

I have only used my Breville mixer a few times. Today I used the dough hooks and it was making a high pitch whistling sound which my daughter said was not present when we used the beaters to whip cream and egg whites.

I’ve read that often hand held mixers don’t have the power they really need for dough. The hooks are included as a selling point but can strain the motor and care needs to be taken. However I find this model very powerful. I’ve had it about 7 months and love it. Great for whipping cream and egg whites quickly.
