Disappointing purchase
I bought this cheap machine to replace an expensive Magimix food processor. The Breville does a good with vegetables and soups.
However, the pulse function and even the non pulse functions wont stop quickly enough, it just keeps running a couple more seconds instead of stopping when I think the food is chopped/mixed enough.
Purchased at Harvey Norman for $200.

To be fair, this review is written from the point of view of nut butters as this was one of two reasons for which I bought this machine, based on reviews that said it could make nut butters, not many can. Yes, it does but....
My old kitchen Wizz finally gave up after 25 years so I needed to replace it.
The new kitchen Wizz took double the time as my old one, even though the bowl is twice as big with double the blades. To clean the book suggests 'rinse' which may work when chopping vegetables but nut butters get into every nook and cranny you ...

Excellent machine
This is a replacement for our previous Breville Wizz that lasted for at least 25 years until replacement bowls were no longer available. The new one is a superior design as it is easier to clean and the motor body has no crevices to collect dirt. It shreds cabbage for sauerkraut brilliantly and is great for liquidizing soups. The plastic bowl and lid seem sturdier than the old model. I bought this with Flyby points so I am not a verified purchaser - just a happy one!

Questions & Answers
Just purchased a Breville Wizz and Store LFP460GRY from Big W. Just used this to make my Nut Balls and noticed that the nuts are not ground very finely. The quantity was small for my nut balls. Do I need to grind for longer? Will the machine hold? My next attempt will be for nut butter. Quantity for this will be 2 cups worth. Am I able to grind the nuts finely without burning out the machine? I did notice that the ground nuts for my nut ball were rather coarse. Ok for nut balls but not for nut butter. So my question is if I leave the nut butter for a longer grind will I burn out the machine?
I make peanut butter every two weeks, machine not burnt out yet, but it is starting to make a strange noise after 2 years of nut butters. I make enough for two jars at once

Thnx for that quick reply. I probably make 1.5 bottles every 4 weeks? Used to have a Cuisineart 4cup chopper/grinder which broke as I dropped it. Oops!!! I used it 1st time making a small batch of nutballs. The machine doesn't seem to handle small amounts well, would that be right? I hope my nut butter turns out ok.

Can I make natural nut butter, without adding oil or anything else? Just the nut...
Yes, I make peanut butter every two weeks. But I can’t say about other nuts as I have only ever tried peanut butter
