I'd like to know whether you'll replace a $450 BMO700 that has stopped working after 13 months. Bing Lee couldn't care less. I wonder whether Breville does?

I was told by Breville customer service to remove the reflective cardboard piece on the interior right Panay of the oven. Then told that it would not work without it. The piece tore when I removed it so I couldn’t put it back in place. They are sending me a replacement but the replacement model #BMO734XL does not have the crisper feature. Does anyone know where I might find this part? Breville said they no longer have parts for the BMO700

Im think perhaps a Breville authorised outlet warehouse that carries such stock and sells to the public, or failing that contact breville customer service directly via phone and ask for one.

I cant imagine they would deny a request like that, should be relatively cheap.

HI
I haven't had any problems like this. The error message is not even mentioned in the manual. I suggest you contact Brevile customer service. My general experience with Breville products ( sadly) is that they work until just after the warranty runs out. I am hoping this microwave is the exception as it is the only crisper which fits into our space. So far, so good and it is used multiple times per day.
Good Luck.

We just purchased the microwave and it’s straight away showing this message. We can’t find what it means in the manual. What is going on? We relied on the microwave working

You can also manually adjust the time by turning the main dial. It also gives you the option to add an extra 30 seconds at the end of all the pre selections. I'm still super pleased with this purchase but the door hinge bothers me a little still as it just feels loose. All the models I've seen in stores though have been the same way so I don't believe it's a fault. I don't regret buying it at all!

Most high end microwaves in the US come with 1000-1200 watts of power. I was surprised to see that the Quick Touch Crisp micro comes in at only 900Watts. I have heard that microwaves outside of US do not come as high powered. Is that why, or is there an engineering reason?

Hi Moe - your question was forwarded to the design team - and response follows: The 900W was set as it was globally the more popular wattage/size combination. Breville does have the BMO734 and BMO735 models with 1100W output power (but without Inverter). Thanks, the Breville team

Hi I have breville bmo735 .i have just bought .i rang breville today the man told me from there said it doesn’t come with crisp pan and told me I got the wrong information the reason I bought it was cause of the crisp pan .i just up grade from the whirlpool one.i don’t care if doesn’t come with it.read in the book to heat the crisp pan for 3. Mins so my point is why have that in the book if you can’t have a crisp pan.

Can this microwave be placed in a cavity above an oven?

1 answer

BrevilleBreville

Hi Lisa - the service support team have advised that this unit needs to be in a separate cavity with the required clearance as per instruction manual, which is as below:
The rear surface of the appliance should be placed against a wall. A minimum clearance of 4 inches (10cm) is required between the microwave and any adjacent walls.
Leave a minimum clearance of 8 inches (20cm) above the microwave. Thanks, the Breville team

Can "bmo 700" do convection? Could it do grill and convection independently or in combination as "bmo 715"? Consider to get one of them while the good guy is discount on ebay shop this week.

The griller and the microwave can operate independently or together. There's a small grill element on the top rear of the microwave (kind of like those old style bar heaters), so I wouldn't call it a convection microwae since the grill heat will only reach the food temporarily as it rotates on the platter. It's OK, for some minor things - e.g. toasting nuts works pretty well, but if you're thinking this is any kind of oven then you'd be wrong. Make sure you check out your door if you buy one - just about every unit I've seen has different quality in the door glass (some you can't see anything through, some crystal clear). I had to fight tooth and nail with Breville and the retailer to get mine replaced and finally ended up with a version that's acceptable. There's a problem there they don't want to own up to.

Thank DBO for your sharing! It is very helpful! I think I will go with a grill microwave instead of convection grill microwave which give me more choices to choose from. Thanks again!
