Great interface with good power.
Replaced old Whirlpool Crisping Micro with this. Really like the menus and interface in general, especially the 'bit more' button. Does a good job with frozen pastries and the inverter seems to heat a lot more evenly than our old micro. Only complaint is the door is a bit flimsy but is apparently supposed to be like that & the turntable needs a better locking system to drive the plate when microwaving large chickens. The free scales/thermometer was a bonus.

Useful options, saves using big oven
I was reluctant to buy Breville as we have had several small appliances which have failed just after the very short warranty period has expired. In this case it was the only microwave with a crisper option that fitted into the available space. So far after 4 months it is working well, cooking consistently with numerous options for standard microwave use, grilling and crisping. It is used multiple times every day and saves using a large traditional oven for smaller amounts of food ( roasting vegetables in particular). It is very user frie...Read more
ndly with numerous optional pre programmed settings. Saves lots of time. With it's variability and efficiency I am using it even more than I did the Whirlpool Crisper microwave which I had previously for many years. It grills and crisps very well but I have not really used it for baking .Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Bad design, Incomplete manual, Bad customer service
There is a piece of cardboard-like material on the inside of the microwave which I'm not sure is a part of the design or is meant to be removed. I couldn't find any information in the manual so for safety reasons I wanted a confirmation from Breville, however the Breville website seems to be down for at least 4 days now, and the Breville Facebook team tells me "we don't know the exact model you are referring to" despite me telling them BMO700BSS. Quite an inconvenience that over a week after having the microwave I am still unable to use it.

Really love it!
We were hesitant to purchase this because of the price but I'm so glad we did. So far we've cooked porridge, roasted vegetables, reheated pizza, drinks and other preprepared meals, mini pies/sausage rolls and veg. Nothing has come out soggy and it's been well heated through. I don't have a problem with the glass screen on mine as I can see through it fine. So easy to use and my 8 yr old makes his own porridge in the morning using it. Doesnt make too much noise and is easy to clean. The only thing I don't like is it feels like the door is a litt...Read more
le loose but it was on the same on every single model I saw of them straight from the box. Also, it would be amazing if it somehow had inbuilt scales so you knew the weight of the item you were cooking/defrosting to select the right time.1 comment

Nicely surprised!
I was reluctant to purchase this microwave because it functions so differently to other microwave ovens and because of reading the other review. I looked on YouTube and did a lot of research then decided to purchase based on it features and the fact that Myer was selling it for $349 with a bonus gift that was actually valued at $99.
Wow I'm so pleased l did. Yes the screen is dark but I use a splatter cover when using my microwave so I can't see what's under it anyway. I've cooked fresh corn that was perfect. I've also cooked fresh broccoli,ca...Read more

A Top Of The Range Microwave You Can't See Into.
So this is the brand new top of the range upgrade to the Breville Quick Touch Microwave along with a range topping price (RRP $449). This version changes some of the buttons from the BMO735 model and adds a grilling element and crisping plate. Since this is the latest and greatest you would expect it to be a top contender for your 2015 Christmas microwave shopping but you may want to reconsider. We had to run all over town to even track one down leading up to Christmas and after finally purchasing this item I have to say I am bitterly disappoin...Read more
ted not only in the product but also Breville's response to my issues! We have bought several top range Breville products and have always been favorably impressed. Not so with this unit. Outwardly nothing appears to be at fault. This unit has everything and every feature you could want in a microwave. I'm not a fan of the hidden buttons inside the door frame but at least they have moved the timer out onto the main display panel with this model. The biggest issue and much to my surprise was a door/window which is essentially pointless. You cannot see anything through it. By that I mean it's as if the glass has an opaque film over the top of it that's blurring everything. For example if you put the user manual inside the microwave and view it through the door you could not read the words Breville. The only thing you see is that there's a light on inside. So you have no idea how your food is cooking (or boiling over for that matter) because you can't see anything. [link removed]. I suspected this may have been a manufacturing fault or a protective film left on the inside of the door panel, so I contacted Breville to check on the matter. Here's their response: "Thank you for your email. The window is not very clear especially if you are using it due to condensation from the cooking, there should not be a protective film that you peel off on this unit but please check just incase [sic]. Sorry I cannot be of better help as we have microwaves here and they are all the same not very clear sadly." Well we live and learn. I always like to cook my user manual before reading it, so it could have been the condensation as suggested. Hang on - No! I'll give 1 point for trying through. Maybe I should pry the door apart and check for a film that may or may not be there on the inside - you know, just in case. On 2nd thoughts, no I won't follow that tip either.Similar opinion? I'd like to know whether you'll replace a $450 BMO700 that has stopped working after 13 months. Bing Lee couldn't care less. I wonder whether Breville does?

I was told by Breville customer service to remove the reflective cardboard piece on the interior right Panay of the oven. Then told that it would not work without it. The piece tore when I removed it so I couldn’t put it back in place. They are sending me a replacement but the replacement model #BMO734XL does not have the crisper feature. Does anyone know where I might find this part? Breville said they no longer have parts for the BMO700

Im think perhaps a Breville authorised outlet warehouse that carries such stock and sells to the public, or failing that contact breville customer service directly via phone and ask for one.
I cant imagine they would deny a request like that, should be relatively cheap.
I'll sell you mine
