This is a good rice cooker.
I have bought this Rice cooker recently to replace my Panasonic Rice cooker.
I have to say, this one make as good rice as the panasonic one.
The Rice is fluffy and the machine is easy to navigate.
This Rice cooker is not as perfect as the high end rice cooker such as Tiger or Zijorushi but it is good enough for me and other people who are on tight budget.
This Rice cooker is much better the the cheaper or cheapest rice cooker at the moment.
I would recommend to buy this one.
Purchased in December 2021 at Myer for $112.00.

Disappointed
Purchased this one after the pot in our Panasonic multicooker had died and there was no replacement pot available. In short, we are disappointed with the Breville. The previous one seemed to be much more intelligent. E.g. in the Steam mode, I could set it to 5 minutes, and the timer started counting down when the water was boiling and steam was coming out of the vent, which means the device either sensed the temperature or had a steam sensor. This one does not do it, i.e. you set it to Steam for 15 minutes, and the timer starts the countdown im...Read more
mediately after pressing the Start button, so we now have to guess the time it'll take to heat the water to the boiling point and add that predicted time to the timer setting. The Breville multicooker is bad at cooking porridge, cos the previous one was cooking it just below the boiling point perfectly, we could set the delay timer in the evening and forget about it, and get perfect porridge in the morning, but the Breville seems to be boiling it at full power, so porridge intensively bubbles out of the vent and gets spilled on the lid and around the device, meaning that you should always keep an eye on it. Not too sure what exactly we could cook in it automatically. Rice seems to cook ok though. I currently use it mainly as an egg cooker, i.e. I pour 2 cups of cold water in it, place eggs on the steam tray, set the device to Steam, set the timer to 13 minutes, and when it beeps, my eggs are just perfectly soft boiled.Similar opinion?
