Well built inverter generator
The Briggs & Stratton powersmart 3000i inverter generator is a well thought out design I haven't had a lot of time to thoroughly use it but as the year goes on it will get put through it's paces. It has a 12V cigarette lighter style plug at 5 amps plus a USB connection two 240 volt 15 amp outlets and a parallel connection for joining two units either two P3000i or a P3000i and a P2200i. It comes with everything you need to run the generator out of the box (except petrol obviously) You get oil, a funnel, 12v charging cables. The front panel is e...Read more
asy to see and everything is labeled on the side of the unit, there are easy to follow instructions, You get 3,000 starting watts and 2,600 running watts which I've tested and happily to confirm it does run at those watts the fuel tank has a fuel indicator to let you know how much is left in the 5.7 litre tank. The decibel level of the unit is 59 dB which is pretty quiet for this size and very similar in sound at 7 meters to my mates equivalent honda EU30, you get a full 10 hours run time at a 1/4 load this is a estimate only. It has a row of LED lights that light up the panel which is a really great idea especially at night time. The LCD Statstation Display is easy-to-read and shows various information such as the amount of power being used, total unit hours, maintenance reminders. The H frame design handle is great if there is two people carrying it or even for one person, the slide out handle and wheels are another great addition but only really usable on hard packed grounds, cement or grass areas no good in sand or on uneven ground, the fact briggs have vented the unit from the sides is really testament to the thought they put into the unit as some inverter generator breath from underneath and suck up everything but in saying that I have a piece of canvas I sit the unit on anyway, all in all I'm very happy with the unit to date and it's exceeded my expectations, my only gripe would be that briggs could have put that starting cord further into the housing so it was flush with the unit but you can't have everything hey.Purchased in April 2021 for $1,799.00.

I agree 2000 power teck are a disaster
I had 2 or 4 if you count the replacements my brother had 1 or 3 if you count the replacements. now sold as Briggs 2.2 I believe don't buy . even the fuel tank rusts out and that is the least of your worry's.

Runs better than a streaker with his butt on fire!
Purchased 31 Jan 2022
Love it!
Quiet, and starts first go.
Only problem is I dont know how long it will run for on a tank of fuel.
Nothing in the instruction manual.
I love the idea of the extendable handle and wheels cause I'm not a spring chook anymore, and I'll be stuffed if I'm going to carry around.
Not as heavy as other generators, but as heavy as the Burdon of having a nagging missus!
Hope it lasts longer than the (Disposable) Power Boss PB2000i who's Briggs and Stratton runs well but has shoddy electrical stuffings in its innards!!
Purchased in January 2021 at Stihl Dealer for $1,700.00.

2017 Excellence in Customer Service!!! Thank you GENELITE !!!
I bought a P3000 PORTABLE GENERATOR in case of a home power outage (black-out) but I hadn't used the generator yet because there was no black-out until yesterday. I didn't know that fuel can go stale which explains why it didnt work during last nights black-out! The next morning I phoned GENELITE for service help thinking that the machine might be broken? They found an employee who lived in my suburb to collect my generator for investigation at their Salisbury workshop. They emptied the stale fuel, re-fueled it then returned it to my door wi...Read more
thout charge (Yah Woohoooo - thats fantastic service !!!). There was nothing else wrong with it - except that I had let the fuel go stale waiting so long for a power outage (black-out).
