Customer Service

published

Although my filter unit gave me hassles (due to abnormally high water pressure at my rental) my review is to thank Brita for their customer service.
The filter works pretty well for an on tap system, much more convenient than a jug.
The first time I had a problem they replaced the part without any hesistation. Sadly it happened again and I have been refunded for the unit bought at Masters.
Can only compliment them for great customer oriented service. I'd buy their products again based on that

Working perfectly!

published

I was very worried after reading all the bad reviews here since I've already ordered one online through Brita. It arrived today and I put it on my tap, and it's working perfectly! I'm so pleased with it. Make sure to replace the rubber seal (from old seal that's in the tap to the new one that's provided in the package).. Mine was leaking until I realised I needed to replace it.

Britta WD3020

published

We brought this tap was brought in October 2014 the plastic tube in the filter split. Britta replaced it under warranty June 2015. The replacement split in the same way in January of 2016. This time they organised their plumber at their cost. The tap has again split in June 2015

Just st to give an update! Britta has just upgraded and re fitted a new tap July 2016... I don't feel like i have trusti nthe new tap and expext it to go again in the future.

Waste of money! Leaks!

published

Bought this to help save money (were buying 2 19L Gibson soak bottles a week) but after 2 weeks we have to bin it. Sprays water out everywhere from just below the bit that screws onto the tap. We've tried everything to fix it. Kicking myself I didn't keep the receipt. So so disappointed in Brita and will not buy again! Waste of $55!

Could not turn tap off.

published

Attached it to the tap as shown (by a very experienced person in plumbing). Went on easy.
Turned the tap on. Worked perfectly.
THEN TRIED TO TURN THE TAP OFF.
We pressed the tap down and the water simply would not turn off.
We have a very wet kitchen from having to take it off whilst the water is flowing.
The tap is not one of the taps it does not work with but still...

Totally flawed design

published

Old style filter was fab. New filter leaked from the moment we first used it - first back through the tap thread. Taped that. Then from where the housing meets the tap joiner! Water everywhere. Looking at the design, there is a pin hole for the water in take. This is clearly a crap design not thoroughly thought through, to cater for all modern normal tap flows. Besides that, said tiny pin hole gets half blocked by the intake design. Upon calling to discuss, Brita said "we've sold more than 10,000". Guess what Brita? I don't care...cos your design does not reliably work. I'm off to buy another brand, and not coming back.

Bad product and terrible service.

published

In the 20 months I've had this tap it has been fixed once, replaced completely and the handle has just fallen off the new one. I will now spend the weekend without water in my kitchen despite repeated attempts to get Brita to get a plumber out for a job the rep told me is so simple I could do it myself. Save yourself a lot of trouble and don't buy Brita

3 months and 2 days old

published

Exactly 3 months and 2 days old, bought new filter to replace the old one. Just before the cartridge opened, you wanted to drink a glass of water and it burst all over the place.
You were still new to this stuff, thought maybe because it was time to change the new filter. Replaced with new one, again, water sprayed all over the place. It took your time for the effort but it rewarded you nothing.

Been Through 2 and Given Up

published

We've been through 2 tap heads that have leaked heaps after only a month of working alright - and we have poor water pressure in our area! Even though we were given them under warranty, it's been frustrating not having working filters or filter mixing tap water which defies the point. My Dad has also gone through one and thrown it out too. They are not made to last at all, and considering replacement filters are extensive the whole thing is a massive waste of money.

Just get a jug or get a permanent tap filter - we did option b and it actually wasn't too hard to install diy (heaps of videos on YouTube). But we avoided the Brita taps in case they're just as shocking as the on tap filter.

Junk

published

Took it back the day after purchase. It leaked water from where it shouldn't have from the moment it was installed. Tried having it loose and tight, just didn't stop leaking from between the tap housing and the body of it.
We have gone back to using the jug system.

Broken within a month!

published

Don't buy one, it breaks really quickly and spurts water out at you! I'm really disappointed with the quality of it, I would have expected better. I'm taking it back for a refund ASAP. This should not happen.. Hopefully getting a refund will not be hard.

Bad quality

published

Used it for one week and the plastic valve cracked and started leaking everywhere. Fixed it myself and reduced the water pressure to half the normal and 2 days later the plastic cracked again!! I'm about to ask for a refund.

But I've used the older model for 7 years and didn't have that problem. this product shouldn't be on the shelves. Where is the consumer protection and fair training from all this??

Bad quality plastic valve.

New Brita on Tap Can't do the Job

published

The new model just can't work. There are obvious faults in the connections & the valve through the water flows. There is a clear weakness in the plastic connections from the water source to the filter itself. I intend taking my unit for a refund. Bought today - broken tonight. Should have read the reviews first. The superseded model which I had worked for years until recently. Kay

Has Brita on Tap produced an improved version than the poor quality one referred to in my original review in 2014.

Feeling ripped off

published

I used the old version for about two years and it was great, But the new updated model is a piece of junk! It squirts out everywhere when you try to use it. Surely they must have tested this product before putting it on the market? Well they've lost me as a Customer, I will definitely be buying an alternative brand of filter next time. It

It squirts water out everywhere from the sides of the unit. It's a faulty product.

Brita replacement rubbish

published

I feel that Brita have lost many customers by changing to the new units . The water pressure is terrible & it has a leaking problem. I cannot understand why Brita think that their new unit will replace the existing units and I would not recommend it to my worst enemy. Replacement units of previous units can only be obtained from overseas.
Nil
everything compared to the replacement unit Replacement filters hard to come by without shopping around.

Don't buy this

published

This new Brita on Tap Filter is absolute rubbish. I have had mine only one week and it is leaking from the central joint. When I unscrewed it I found that part of the plastic valve had broken off which then allowed the water to spout out. I have used the older style for about 10 years, but because they are no longer available I had to purchase this newer one. Never again. Wish I had kept my receipt - I would return it for a refund. My loss unfortunately.

Broke within one week.

+1 the leak on mine is just under the supply side. they should really fix this up - i think it would be a simple fix. otherwise a good produce (filtered water tastes good)

Terrible, unreliable

published

Bought 2 of these items, what are the chances that both of them will break after 3 days of usage... Well they did break, the water leaks from the connector. First one water came out from both tap and filter the switch between unfiltered and filtered water did not work, 2nd one leaked between the seals...

Poor quality

Convenient but product breaks quickly

published

I have returned this item twice. It works great till the small diverter inside the device breaks which happens quickly. It seems its too soft to handle water. If you have to buy this for a reason, make sure you hook it to a very low pressure tap. Kitchen taps are too strong for this product. No recommended.
Convenient, easy to use
Bad material, breaks quickly,

hoe to reset after filter reoplaement

To reset the LED timer you just press the little black button next to the button battery - or just take the battery out and put it back in.

I notice the timing cycle is only 3 months which is far too early to replace the cartridge for our consumption. So we wait for 12 months!

I have a Brita 3020 system with a separate filtered water outlet, and a second larger outlet for hot/cold water.
The problem is that the normal hot/cold water is seeping into the filtered water system and leaking out of BOTH outlets. Is this easily fixed? I have taken the cap off the filtered water outlet, looked at the small 'O' ring and all appears OK. Hose at the top end seems sound, and the water looks like it is seeping into the area surrounding the plastic tube linked to the filter, and forcing its way out. Perhaps the O ring IS damaged and I can's see it? Or perhaps the normal unfiltered water is getting into the filtration system elsewhere. Is there an easy way to dismantle the system from above the sink to get at the workings of the tap, or do you have to get at it from below - perhaps there is a loose hose where the hoses are screwed into system. Anyone else had this problem and manage to fix it painlessly? Thanks, John

How do you stop it leaking at the swivel joint?

I couldn't unfortunately, so I returned it to Brita. They told me you mustn't have the water running very fast or it will happen again. They replaced it with a new one, which eventually ( after a very short time ) did the same thing. I gave up and bought a Brita water filter jug. I wish they would bring back the old style tap filter. Never had a problem with that - it was terrific - had it for nearly 10 years. Only reason I got the new design one was because I couldn't get the old replacement filters.
