Bought a second hand OG bee and it doesn’t skip a ‘bee-t’
I was lucky to score an original bugaboo bee off Facebook for $100 before a trip to Townsville. We took it away with us and it hadn’t skipped a beat even at 11 years old.
It shows the quality of the brand is second to none. It went over most surfaces and my toddler still slept in it. The under basket is huge for the size of the pram and the seat is able to face your or out. The hood is massive and the fully recline means you can add a cocoon for a newborn.
Such a great pram for the size, I’ll always have one!
Purchased in May 2021 for $100.00.

City pram
I have used other bugaboos and they where great apart from having it in two sections in a boot! So I went for this one as it is easy as to put down and set up and it stays all in one. But it is not good unless it is on a very smooth easy floor! Not the most durable of rough with as kids do.

Fantastic pram
We bought this pram in London after speaking to lots of parents on the street. One of the main reasons we chose the Bugaboo Bee was because we wanted a pram that was small, light and easy to manoeuvre, particularly on buses. It didn't disappoint. It was also fantastic for my baby who had reflux because the back had multiple adjustable levels. We bought the new born insert (the cocoon) to make it extra snuggly and safe, and we bought a foot muff for winter too. The pram wasn't so friendly however when we travelled back to Australia because it di...Read more
dn't collapse well (often breaking into two parts) and it wasn't quick and easy to put back together. Because the seat was small and my daughter tall, I ended up changing the pram to a large jogger when my daughter turned 3. The other disappointing aspect was that the hood didn't go all the way over so I needed to clip a muslin cloth to block out the light when my daughter was sleeping. Overall though the pram was well made and mostly fit what we needed at that time.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Frame totally bent and sideways!
I requested this specific pram and a gift, its cute compact and light. Initally handled great and easy just to whip in and out the car.. however..
Car went in for a service this week so had to use it for extra walking. And after 3 days the entire frame not just the metal but looks like the plastic too has bent sideways and the seat has sunk. I cant push it anymore! And as it was bought as a gift bugaboo wont help me out in anyway!
But a bit more on what isnt great about it.. it doesnt stand when folded shut. So when out, you have to leav...Read more
e ot open which takes up too much space. Also doesnt close up when seat is in reverse position and extremely hard to open when folded when seat was lying flat. Seat isnt very high and little ones head hits the shade and when skate board is attached you cant walk behind the pram properly! Wouldnt recommend it! Hope this helps :-)Similar opinion? Great pram but needs some refinement in next version
Despite list of bad points, I do like this pram because it is lightweight and easy for me to put in the car. There are so many prams out there the choice can be overwhelming if you don't know what you are looking for, like me. I feel I got the best pram for majority of my requirements. A few niggling issues but I am sure as my boy grows, it will pay for itself because I won't have to buy a separate stroller.
Good points:
Lightweight - easy to take in and out of car, up the stairs if you are on your own
Manoeuvrability (mostly on flat s...Read more

Front wheels are horrible!!!!!
This stroller is hard to turn if the wheels are not in the proper straight position and if taken on the escalator it is incredibly dangerous. This pram is not worth the money and I am extremely disappointed.
Light weight and compact
Too expensive and front wheels do not turn smoothly.

Great lightweight stroller
I lover our bugaboo bee. We have a 2009 model so the mechanism for turning the seat and the angle of the seat in full upright position have been improved on since the model I have but it is still such a great pram. I use it on public transport regularly and have a board in the back for my older son. I love how I can dress the pram ith different hoods and liners easily as well. The rain cover is a little over engineered and could be a little simmer but it serves it's function.
It is a great high end pram but is very pricey. If you come acros...Read more
s a second hand one that has been cared for it is a great investment if you need a lightweight and fairly compact pram. Mine has been used for two kids and is still going strong. Great quality. Easy to fold and unfold. Nice big basket. Can reverse face. Adjustable handle which goes nice and high. Fun options with changing the hood and liners. Expensive. Older model is hard to change seat direction. Seat recline on older model is too reclined on the most upright setting.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I have both the Cameleon and the Bee and these days I use the Bee the most because of the ease of getting it in and out of the car and also because it takes up less space. I attach a non Bugaboo skateboard to the back for my 3yr old and can still push with 1 hand in the shopping centre. Not perfect but a very good pram.
Very easy fold (note that it doesn't fold as well when you have seat facing you), compact and super easy to push one handed, large hood keeps sun off well. Basket is a good size for such a compact pram. Great, easy to use extend...Read more

Excellent
I bought this pram when my daughter was 9 months old, and haven't used my old pram once since (similar to Cameleon). It is great for travelling, and the travel bag accessory is worthwhile if you travel by plane frequently. It is fantastic for shopping, and for those that like to be able to get to every corner of a cluttered store, or be able to take baby with you into change rooms! I'd highly recommend this stroller for anyone. It's ingenious design is worthwhile.
Light and easy to use. Can steer with one hand. Folds flat in one piece. Very large sun canopy - interchangeable colours too. Decent sized basket underneath. Seat faces towards or away. Easily extendable handle.
A little pricey, accessories expensive.

This is great for city living, outings to cafes and walks in the park. As it is very lightweight you need to be careful when loading up any shopping hooks you have attached to the handles, and also I noticed the other day it doesn't have much wind resistance.
I definitely recommend purchasing the full silver sunshade, as we have gotten the most use out of this, more so than the shade it comes with.
Also be careful when rocking the baby in this or carrying up stairs etc - make sure the baby is securely strapped in because if you use the cocoon, it slips down.
Light and compactFunky design and accessories Baby can face towards you or away
ExpensiveCan be hard to fold seat up sometimes Cocoon can slip down Wheels could be a bit bigger

While one of the more expensive on the market, it is definitely worth the extra few hundred dollars. However, be aware that the extras are also quite pricey. We bought the foot-muff which seems essential in sub 15 degree temperatures. For travel, the price of its well-padded wheeling travel bag is that of another pram! We loved the reversible seat (good for anxious parents).
After a little practice and initialy stiffness, folding up is very easy.
As mentioned above, it doesn't really have an attachable seat for another child.

Great stroller, light weight and comfortable to push
I have a Bugaboo Bee and Cameleon and love both. I keep the Bee in the car as it folds up so nicely and the Cameleon for walking locally. I wouldn't use the Bee for a new born but definitely for a toddler. Great brand, great pram. I recommend them both.
Look, easy to push, light, good storage underneath

I love this pram, and have no regrets about purchasing it. My only disappointment is that its not great for walking off a smooth path, and gutters are tricky, but this isn't really an issue.
We did lots of research, and this was the only pram that ticked all the boxes for us - light, easy to steer, able to face bub in forward or back, adjustable handle.
We have another cheap pram, and its so much harder to put up, tricky to adjust, and doesn't feel all that safe. It also feels like steering a tank compared with the Bee - it just makes me lo...Read more

Love the Bee - we go overseas often and can fit a Maxi Cosi car seat directly on the frame. Its so easy to use and push and has no problem in cafes & shops or going off road. I wouldn't bother looking any further then this pram.
Highly functional pram, lightweight and maneuverable. Perfect for city living. Fits perfectly in a small car. Very practical.
I would really recommend purchasing the sun canopy.

I had to buy this from USA as it is not available in Australia yet, [url censored] are awesome and have the best sales and after sales service!! I bought all the extras with this, you need the sunshade (looks like a bee when the sunshade is on and stops prying eyes and hands getting to your baby in the early days)and also the breezy canopy for hot weather, oh and don't forget the cup holder, it is a MUST! ay so easily, and compact. (even easier when the seat is facing the world - we just turned it around this week) The sunshade is the largest on the market. When looking for a pram, my list was Baby needs to be able to face me or away Sunshade needs to be able to cover baby completely - we live in QLD Needs to be light - around 7kgs (not 14kgs like most 3 wheelers) I wanted to extend the handle for hubby to push compact and comfortable Cheaper than the Bugaboo Chameleon/Frog/Gecko (will retail in Australia( when it gets here...)for $900 -not incl. extras - check out moosejaw.com) Need to be able to lie my baby down quickly and easily (not with ropes and ties like the phil n Teds) Able to carry stuff in the carry bag and get to it easily (easier to access when baby is facing you) I was able to tick all the boxes and then some. Sorry this is so long, but I love the Bugaboo Bee!! Check it out! Fantastic Stroller!! I have nothing but rave reviews for this pram! It is 7.7kgs, compact, can reverse the seat so bubs is facing you or facing away, the handle extends for hubby or you to feel comfy pushing, fits an infant right up to a child. Oh and it has a cup holder!!(I get stopped in the shops and told that the cup holder is awesome! and that is mostly from the husbands!! Comes in 5 great colours - Red, Blue, Yellow, deep Green and Black... no six- Breezy is silver I had to buy this from the USA as it is not available yet in Australia. Had some trouble with the chassis, the frame was very tight when we received it, but then loosened up, although then it just gave way and was too loose to the point that the locking device for the extendable handle was broken on one side- when you unpack the Bee, don't pull up on the handle like in the video on youtube... but Bugaboo sent me a new chassis and now we are back on the road - so to the ladies in the baby store who thought that I wouldn't have a warranty in Australia, you were wrong. Seems like Bugaboo will honour their product warranty no matter where you live in the world. It is very difficult to get Bugaboo Chameleons into Australia and that is why I went searching on the internet to buy O.S. There was a 12 week wait and I was already in my 35th week. Instead of getting the Chameleon, the Bee caught my eye. (chameleon also avail. on [url censored] if you are having trouble getting a bugaboo from a baby store in time for your little arrival like I was) sent by UPS it took 5 days and I could track its progress from Michigan USA to my doorstep!Similar opinion? I owned my Bugaboo Bee for about 6 months before deciding to part with it. I loved how it maneuvered in the shops, it surprisingly handled cobblestone roads and foothpaths well, but was not brilliant when going up/down gutters. The seat was comfortable enough but a liner was definitely beneficial. The basket is surprisingly large and holds more than you realise! I would buy a Bugaboo Bee again.
How light it is, how easy it is to fold/unfold, the colour options and choice to change colours whenever you like, the flat recline (not bucket seat), the adjustable handle
The seat is small, the wings get in the way, child cant see around the corner of the canopy

This is one cool looking pram and the quality's excellent, so with this you get both style and substance.
Nifty, compact and so easy to maneouvre. Ours was a winter bub, so we got the cocoon to go with it and that has been our best purchase. Bub loved feeling so secure in it and it allowed us to be out an about in all weather.
There was an issue with the brakes, but we went onto the Bugaboo website and ordered (free) attachment parts to fix the problem.

abit pricey and accessories are too! but overall its worth it. Bub loves facing me while shopping and basket is surprisingly a good size
i have a corolla hatch and the bee fits perfectly. Love how i can fit anywhere and not block the way like other prams. So smooth and light i can push with one hand.
at first it was hard to fold away, but gets easier the more you do it. The dvd is not that helpful.

I bought this pram when my baby was already 8 months old. I still have and love our Mountain Buggy Swift which I find much better for walking around the streets. The Bee was an indulgence - I wanted to be able to talk with my son now that he is babbling, especially when I'm shopping because he gets so bored and restless. He likes both prams equally but looks more comfortable in the Swift. The Bee now lives in the car boot - a MUCH better fit for us than the buggy. I don't find the flaps or small size an issue. I like seeing my baby looking snug...Read more
and secure. WIthout the sun hood the Bee is much more spacious and when my son is an older toddler I will simply take the hood off - kids like to jump in and out of prams at this stage so he'll have to wear a hat and sunscreen anyway. The large hood has meant I haven't felt the need to buy a separate sun shade - I really like this feature and am surprised the new Plus model has not kept it. If I had to choose between my 2 prams I would choose the Bee but ONLY because I am reveling in the extra boot space - the Swift is a better ride overall and I'm lucky my baby doesn't really care which way he faces. Really light, small, baby can face me, a breeze to push with one hand, folds quick and easy, takes up only one side of my car boot space (i drive a very small station wagon), good sized basket, great sun hood, comes with rain cover - perfect pram for shopping, a really smooth ride on flat surfaces. A great pram/stroller combination. A bit of a hassle to change from forward to rear facing. Expensive, but I purchased a floor stock model that had been reduced by $250. Not so easy to handle up and down gutters.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
