Do the doors fully open within the fridge width?

Hi Glenn,
Thanks for the question.
Yes, if the fridge is installed with the doors protruding from the cabinetwork.
If the fridge is flush fitted without the mounting kit, then the door will open to 90 degrees.
Cheers,
Tom.

Yes there are 2 male spade connectors. You can use these or cut them off and solder, or use your preferred plug / socket combination.

Hi David, we only have matt black!
Some of our customers have sourced laminate that matches their cabinetwork and cut it to size. If it is for an RV, touch base with the manufacturer first.

I have a Dometic 150l 3 way fridge (RM2553) in my caravan.

Will this fridge fit in the same cut out as a direct replacement? If not is there something more suitable in your range?

Hi Berocca,
Based on the dimensions I can find online, it should definitely fit.
But the best thing to do before you buy a fridges, is to slide your current fridge out a few inches and measure the cavity dimensions so you can be 100% sure.
Thanks, Tom.

Agree with Tom.
In my case it fitted in the space of the 90l Dometic 3-way

Hi Karen
I replaced my 90 liter dometic 3-way with a bushman 12volt in July 2022. Mine is the 130 model so much bigger capacity and it fitted in the same space as the 90 with very little modification to the cupboard. I wired it myself directly to the batteries and it has been running 24/7 since and is in constant use as a bar fridge. It is incredibly quiet.
Note I have 2x95ah batteries and 2x120w solar panels in my van.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, we have a track trailer topaz and it looks like the 130 is to big, however the 85 looks a bit smaller. The reviews read well so we might have to try one..

Hi John, we don't use a tray for under the freezer in the DC130-X. Any moisture will form on the evaporator and eventually can be removed by defrosting.

Hi Scott,
There are many reasons why your compressor could be running continuously. Here are the most common:
• The thermostat could be set too low, probably only needs to be on 2 or 3 out of 7.
• If your fridge is almost empty of goods the compressor will actually run more often because air does not conduct heat or cold. Best to have it at-least half full or more.
• If the door hinges have been reversed, check that the door is closing properly and the seal is closed all the way around.
There are other reasons too! Feel free to call us on 03 9437 0737 to chat.
Thanks, Tom.

Hi, Is it possible to run this Fridge on a 240/12v transformer?
If so, is it the transformer advertised in your accessories section?
I am a bit confused on what the power options are for this fridge.
Cheers,
Shaun

Hi Shaun, the DC65-X will run on 12V or 24V. Most of our customers run the fridge directly from the DC battery bank. Alternatively you could run it from 240V using a 240V to 12V transformer. Cheers.

Shaun Chambers

Hi Paul, thanks for your prompt response.
If I have the fridge wired into the DC system in the van can I also use the plug in transformer for when the battery runs down?
Thanks,
Shaun

Bushman Fridges
Bushman FridgesBushman Fridges

Hi Shaun, yes you could plug in a transformer if the batteries are getting down. I think the better option is a smart battery charger, this will maintain your batteries when on 240V and the fridge can continue to run from the batteries while the charger is plugged in. The charger will provide the additional power that the fridge draws.
