Hey peeps, I had a machine given to me, its been the best pod coffee maker yet, I even got rid of my xpressi...anyways what I want to know is can I use Aldi descaler in this machine? I find it a waste when Ive got so much of it & dont want to wreck the machine in case its not the best thing for it
2 answers
Yes you can Stepf - i was in the same situation as you with the Xpressi. Their descaler has the same ingredients as any other descaler except it is a lot cheaper. Go for it. I have had no problem and it cleans perfectly
Ty ever so much for ur quick response...now I dont have to throw out 2 full bottles either :)

Hi there. Where can I buy this machine ?
1 answer
I know most Woolworths Stores have this type and also one without the milk frother on the side

Won’t suck the water up. Any ideas?

Have you tried de-scaling? Dont buy descaler. I use water & white vinegar...works a treat.
If you have descaled, contact Caffitaly that your machine is faulty, they are fabulous at replacing.
I ammume it won't prime? Try, try, try again. Can be very frustrating. If it has been working and is not any longer it could be a blockage and I would contact Caffitaly for a potential replacement

My s23 makes way too much foam for a flat white. About 2cm. Lowest setting is still way too high. Lower protien milk makes no difference. Any ideas?
1 answer
2cm is ALOT of foam. I would get in touch with Caffitaly customer service. They are actually pretty good, you may be asked to return to place of purchase and exchange for a new one.

why wont the milk come trough from the jug only steam comes through?
1 answer
First thing to do is to clean the machine. By using a toothpick or similar. Where you slide the milk jugs into and milk residue should lift off. Try that. Should help. But also I'd recommend as if you're about to make a coffee. Put water in the milk jugs and let it go through a few times. That works very well and is recommended to be done regularly.

Why is my s23 only giving me a cup amount when I press the mug for cappuccino?
1 answer
depends how big your "mug" is. It should fill a standard cup (mug), the "cup" is a expresso cup;. So technically there is no "mug" size. I do find when i want a mug size i just press the mug button twice. If you purchase strong coffee the strength in a mug should be perfect. (to my taste)
good luck Tammy

After 3 or 4 coffees the machine wont put milk in the cup - just steam - I noticed that the clear tube in the milk holder has trouble sucking up when the milk is only 1/2 full - when I fill the milk up completely - then it puts frothy milk in the cup and works fine until the milk drops off about 1/2 way - looks like its nut sucking hard enough on the milk tube.
Any ideas?

Hi. All I can suggest is remove the tube, give it a good clean under hot water, maybe even push a cotton bud through the tube to remove any excess build up. If this doesn't help, you may need to purchase a new milk frother container from the cafitaly website. I think there about $26.
You need to clean the machine after each use using the "clean" button to get the milk that is trapped in the tube. I do find this happens to me sometimes also and discovered this is the cause.
Try also using hot water and let it run through the canister holes at the end of each day. Annoying at times but so worth the lovely froth.

Ive just purchased the S23 machine and have followed all the steps but can't get any water to come out! Should I return it?
2 answers
I've never had this problem. All I can say is check and see if it has any packaging cover over the water filter at the bottom of the tank.
Try pressing start a few times just to get the water to start flowing through the machine. The machine should work smoothly after this and you shouldnt have a problem. If this doesnt not work return machine for a replacement.
Hope this helps

Why is my S23 coffee machine dispensing milk without frothing it Malc?
Furrballzasked
My new S23 system seems to be blocked.
When you place a coffee capsule in the machine, all seems to go well, all the right noises are made, water is being used, but nothing comes out to the cup! When you look in the capsule bucket, the coffee has been redirected to the waste section.
I have taken off the head and rinsed it thru to clear, and still having the same issue
Please help!

I suggest you pull the capsule lever up and check the area where the capsule is loaded. Make sure there are no rements of capsules or other matter thay may stop a good seal when the lever is closed. You may need to use a torch to see properly. Secondly, make sure you are using Caffitaly capsules, other brands can cause the symptoms you describe. You could also check and remove any capsules loaded in the machine and put the lever down, press the TEA button and see if the problem continues. If it dispenses water ok the problem might be the capsules.
Thanks Tippy, I took that one back and got a new machine as caffitaly told me it was definately faulty when I was able to contact them.
Now the new machine wont stop 'priming' and the lights continue to flash.
Having NO luck at ALL!!
3rd machine... it also wont move past the 'priming' stage!!
HELP!!

The water will not come through the machine but just sits in the diary tray. Have cleaned and checked everything possible. Any ideas?
1 answer
Hi Michelle, Not sure what the Diary Tray is. If you mean the used capsule drawer you may be using the wrong brand capsules, they must have Caffitaly on the packaging or, as another owner found, there is a defect with the machine and you should contact Caffitaly directly at:

A white round filter type thing with a point on it fell into the pod waste bucket does anyone know where this come from so I can attempt to put it back?
pommie Anneasked
My machine will not let milk through only steam, getting ticked off have spent hours on it, have reset it and still no luck, I can have a cup of coffee but I like a cappuccino, oh what is wrong, please help?
1 answer
Hi pommie Anne, check the milk jug is pushed all the way home so there is no gap between it and the machine, it can require a bit of effort. It's highlighted in the instructions (pg7) and there is a little etching on the top of the milk jug indicating what it should look like when fitted correctly. Also check the plastic tubes in the milk jug are fitted correctly and not blocked. I would also remove the dispensing head and check the tubing and make sure all the parts are fitted correctly and not blocked, also make sure the milk connector out knob on the back of the head is in the LOCKED position (image 1 and 2 on page 23). If still no luck contact the Caffitaly help line, they are very good. Link to S23 Manual: http://media.wix.com/ugd/3720c1_c97f5b33118a4a12a5142bac91c9a714.pdf
