    It's been great ...but !!

    published

It's been very safe and has been able to mow just about anywhere. I have had it for about 5 years and have used two sets of blades. It cuts the lawn around the house very well despite not having a floating deck. Recently a few problems have reared their ugly head . The chassis has cracked in two places, the blade belt idler pully bracket snapped. It is cutting too low even on the highest setting and is struggling to go up hills at any sort of pace. It has been serviced regularly by the local dealer. Various plastic parts are cracking and showing signs of fatigue.

    Fantastic mower CM1401

I have owned a razorback for two years now and have never had a problem. They are worth every cent. I mow slopes with high grass, blue couch around the house and it does it with ease. Fuel economy is great as well. I would recommend these mowers for anyone who wants a safe reliable mower capable of almost any type of terrain. Blades last forever and easily replaced..great product.

Does starter turn/engage. If so check choke butterfly is fully closed.

If starter does not engage/turn it may well be the dead man/safety switch under the seat. or a electrical problem with starter or its full of grass and wont turn over.

I had the same issue - maybe this will help . Have you checked that the fuel valve is turned open - I was not aware there was one and struggled to start the mower

    Hello Colin,

Thank you for contacting us, regarding your CM1401.
There is only three safety features that will stop your machine from starting. You will need to make sure that the blade engagement lever is fully released and your foot brake is firmly pressed in and you are sitting on the machine. If you are doing all of these and it still wont start, please contact us on 1800 088 567 and we will run through a checklist with you.
Thank you from the Razorback Team.

We are pondering over purchasing a 2WD. We don't have a lot of slopes, but we do have lots of sticks and stones. My question is about their longevity ... How long have you had them? How long do you reckon they'll last?

    Hello,
Thank you for your question. It’s very hard to answer how long a machine will last without knowing the actual conditions it will be used in and how well it will be maintained.

We are confident in saying the Razorbacks will outlast all other ride-on mowers in the same conditions, due to its exceptional build quality. Generally speaking, sticks up to 30mm in diameter and small stones (not rocks, concrete or bricks) will not have negative consequences to the Razorback brushcutters. Many customers say they have mown over objects that would have destroyed another mowers and no harm was done to their Razorback, that’s why they say the Razorback All Terrain Mower is UNSTOPPABLE.

Please note that we strongly recommend you check for potential hazards before mowing, as mowing over sticks and stones could pose a risk to people or animals nearby or cause damage to property.

To be 100% confident that the Razorback will do your job, call us on 1800 180 567 to arrange an onsite demonstration and test for yourself what the Razorback is capable of, I’m sure you will be very impressed!

    Thanks again for your question.
