Comfortable backpack

published

This is one of the most comfortable backpacks. The straps are thick and padded. It comes with a removable crossover strategy. Very roomy with plenty of compartments a well thought out back pack. It also has a thick comfortable hand grip if you want to carry by hand. Very happy with this purchase cheap but well made.

Almost perfect.

published

This is almost the perfect bag for me. I do several international trips a year, 3-6 weeks at a time and this bag is the right size. It unzips around three sides so it opens flat - perfect for packing. Doesn't have many internal compartments that add unnecessary extra weight. The bag is light but strong. Unfortunately, the build quality could be better. After 2 years and 7 or 8 trips the outer material is tearing at one seam and doesn't look repairable. This is annoying, but I will be buying the same bag again when this one is unusable. There appears to be a new model available, hopefully the stitching problem is fixed.

Disappointed in the quality of workmanship and material selection.

after 6 trips the backpack straps broke, with a max weight of 8.5 kg at any time. If the lugs and stitching were reinforced and swivels better quality it would be a great pack.

Broke first trip

published

I was so happy to find a carry on bag that could be carried a number of ways, and that opened fully for easy packing.

With no hip belt, I knew that I wouldn't be able to carry it as a backpack for long, but liked the convenience of being able to sling it on my back occasionally. Sadly, the first time I carried it as a backpack, the metal swivel on the strap pulled out, rendering it useless as a backpack. Although the bag is still useable, I'm disappointed at the quality.

Not the most stylish, but has never let me down

published

I've gone on many trips, been exposed to all kinds of weather and this bag has never let me down. It's lightweight and has many compartments too. The dividers are real handy. I won't leave home without - travelling overseas or not! Long lasting and really good value for money.

Excellent

published

Just received this bag. Have yet to do air travel with it but so far very happy with its quality. The mesh dividers and pockets are well thought out, and the main compartment is deep and spacious. I've also got a Campmor Essential Carry On which is lighter but less structured- for the $36 USD price it was my favourite bag, but I think the Caribee will take over from it. The Campmor was more difficult to organise and it would sag because of the floppiness of the canvas.
Good value for money, organisation, structure, quality build
Longer warranty would be useful

Great Caribee Bag, Great Value

published

I really like this Caribee backpack - its great carry on when I travel and I wont leave home without it. Caribee make good value for money bags and have been around for ages so you can trust this company. I would recommend this bag for anyone looking for simple, convenient travelling.

Best purchase I ever made for travelling

published

Many trips, no rips

published

I normally take two cabin size bags with me. A wheeled 30L small suitcase and this backpack, which means I have 70 liters to lug around. Perfect when flying business class with short connection time, as I don't have to wait at the carousel for the bag. When I fly economy, one of them must be checked in. In this case this backpack will see the rough side of air travel. Several trips and no rips.
Simple but useful design.
You look like a ninja turtle when carrying it on your back. It is not a neat-looking backpack to impress other travellers.... (but I don't really care anyway).

One of the best bags I've ever used.

published

I do a lot of travelling for work and I've tried and tested various brands ad types of luggage. I've found the shape and design of the Skymaster 40 is the most convenient for simple travelling. A week's worth of clothing and toiletries, a 15inch laptop and charger, phone and charger, second pair of shoes easily fits in. Fits nicely into the overhead compartments and has several handling options.
Size, compartments, inexpensive, several carrying options
Lack of colour options

The best carry on bag ever!

published

This is the best bag I have purchased. It is light weight yet versatile and the longer, flatter shape fits well into overhead storage on aircraft. I love the way the bag is divided into two sections with zippered mesh storage. This bag is so economical and compares to the much more expensive American versions. Buy on Ebay and save money! I am buying a second bag for my husband who is (gradually) learning how to travel with carry on luggage only! This 40 litre bags fits the bill!
Deceptibly roomy, economical, practical

Does the sky master 40 have a laptop sleeve/pocket?

In the back section the is a pocket for a smalk laptop or ipad

Bob

I don't think the outer pocket is designed for a laptop. It would certainly hold a tablet/ipad/kindle but a laptop may not fit.

I use the Skymaster 40 for clothes etc and have a separate "personal item" laptop etc bag. All fits within the carry-on rules.

Does the skymaster 40 have an external pocket for a water bottle?

No pocket for water bottle. But it does have a good sized external pocket, maybe 5L in size, which is big enough for everything you need close at hand like passport, rain jacket etc. which would easily fit your water bottle.
