ALDI Ceiling Fan Questions & Answers

I do not know if they have been discontinued but I have been in touch with Brilliant Lighting who made them and they tell me I need a remote/ receiver kit for each fan to stop it coming on after a power failure. I have to order the kits from a lighting store and I need an electrician to install them. Not a good solution and no offer of help from them

Thats odd.
Try re programming your remote.
If your electrician has installed a wall switch turn it off then turn it on and press and hold the fan on button

Will the same work if your electrician hasn't installed a wall switch everything else is working fine. Our speed just wont change

if you are handy, install the fan yourself and just get a sparky to connect it.
I installed 5 of these including the switches and remote receiver.
Not too hard if you are not scared to crawl around in your roof.

And got it installed I will never purchase any item from aldis again that includes installation supposedly

Yes, the experience has not been a good one. I contacted Aldi customer service and they were pretty good at responding to me but it’s not them who offer the service. Nu Services do it and were unresponsive until I sent another email to Aldi suggesting they escalate to the Aldi executive level which I suspect they did as I got a call from Nu Services about an hour later.

They come with the fan.
There is a reciver attached in the roof for each fan.
if your remote is missing or faulty you will have to email the mfr.
If you have more than 1 fan you can run 2 off 1 remote

The controller is in my ceiliing and the beep is hardly audible.
You only hear it for 1 second twice a day.
It doesnt bother me

Mine beeps each time you turn the light on and again when you turn it off, same with increase or decreasing the fan speed, set fan timer. During the day it’s not a bother but at night it is.

My dog barks with each beep even more annoying!!

Should be very quiet.
remove the cap by turning it anti clocwise.
if that works it is likely crooked and rubbing the motor.
may need to go back

Fair comment BUT, for me, it’s not only about the physical product but also the experience around getting that product installed and working when it was advertised as part of the price - and that part was really poor and off putting. I have since had the fans installed by another electrician and they are great; nice and quiet, cool down the area nicely and look good.

I tried that as my sons an A grade contracting electrician. They will not sell them without installation. When I said to the installing company and said that they tried the old theyll be no warranty on them. So Ive returned them and bought same fans for $120 cheaper and self installed.

Aldi really stuffed up on their choice of ielectrical installation contractors. I gave up and returned the fans. Bought two from Fans Direct almost identical for $240 less than Aldi arrived in 4 days sparky charged $ 140 to install both 2 days later.

I have made 2 bookings, first one 1st November no show no call, took day off work rang nuathome twice no returned call, rebooked for tomorrow had no phone call again, so I will be returning the fan tomorrow.

I returned mine after trying to get someone to care was fruitless
