Awful for selling gold
Where I am in Townsville they offer $10 a gram for 9ct gold .... that’s about a third of its scrap value with any major scrap buyer in larger cities. They charge a standard rate of $40 a gram for 9ct which is reasonable for purchasing - just never sell to them.
It also seems to be inconsistent with what cash converters will pay in larger cities which seems strange.

Terrible offers on good quality products.
Go to ebay or gumtree. Sellers beware, the smug little shop assistants have obviously trained to give you the lowest online selling price for your hard earned goods. They try to scam you to sell your good quality products for next to nothing. They only buy things from you if they can make 200% on what they buy from you. Do not sell your goods there. As a local I would not step back into your store every again, its a big insult, its not a family brand.

Total dishonesty
Agreed to buy 4 car wheels, with the condition that if they did not fit i could return them for a full refund .Asked for this condition in writing which was agreed prior to paying..After handing over money, gave me a receipt, but refused to sign it,,,,,every excuse was offered. I refused to leave, without my money back,, After a heated conversation, and embarrassed staff due to customers
Being witnesses,i received my money back,,,,, extreamly dishonest, dont accept their word ..only in writing can you be confident..

check elsewhere before buying
if you see something you like I would advise to then check online on something like ebay or an online store and you will no doubt find it alot cheaper and newer, don't impulse buy anything. There is some ok prices things like sound gear and hand tools which they have so much of they are trying to unload.
I have seen second hand items instore even more expensive than the item was new, it's a questionable business tactic even though it's legal i feel it preys on peoples ignorance. phones especially very overpriced . you can get new phones that are better for cheaper. Do not sell anything to them either, use something like ebay to sell it, you will get alot more.

Pathetic!
Cash Converters are a complete rip-off!! I sold them a Ruby and Cubic Zirconia Ring valued at $500 - but they only offered me a miserable $45 for the ring!! They need to regulated so people are at least offered a decent amount for their item that they want to sell. Avoid them at all costs if you can help it!!

Easy and quick
I needed money to pay a vehicle rego and found myself short of cash after spending a heap on repairs. The process was quick, and the repayments for a very easily obtained short term loan arent terrible. The woman who took my details was professional and understanding.
Will review again after Liam has been paid out.

Good customer service at times.
Once I bought a pair of headphones that was in a box. I went home to test it out on my PS3 & it wouldn't work, I then plugged it into my PC & that failed to work as well. I went to return it the following day & told them it's faulty. Salesman wants to tell me an experience IT Tech that it was only meant to work with Xbox which is crap. I don't even think they bothered to test it & someone pawned in a faulty head-set.
So I chose another headphones behind the glass & maybe for that reason so I could not inspect i...Read more
t overall close-up. I took that home & it was faulty as well with sound only coming out of one side. Again another item untested & not inspected properly. I took it back & told them that the cable is physically loose so it's not working properly. I said I'll get some DVDs instead to make up for the refund. The skinny salesman who looks like David Spade was now hostile because I'd returned 2 of their faulty items that they deemed fit for sale. Upon choosing the DVDs I wanted I went to pay for them, but not before the salesman punctured the tape on the DVDs so that I could NOT return them as they would be claimed as opened & used! He did this in front of me & I knew he was being dodgy. It's not the first time I've bought an item from CC only to find that it may power on but not fit for sale or in a proper working condition so a warning to other consumers is to test every purchase before the warranty is void.Similar opinion? We Only Sell this for 'Insert Crap Lie' Lowballing scammers would be putting it nicely.
FACT: Cash Converters will offer you WELL below retail, around 5% of retail value. DVDs are bought for 16c each but sold at $2 each.
$80 mouse? How about 5 bucks? Dont let these parasites take your valuables and money. They feed off the desperation of the struggling everyday Aussies and have the audacity to charge an arm and a leg for faulty products, and always seem to mention your warranty when purchasing, remember store warranty expiration means zilch, they use it to mislead the uninformed, consumer law overrides store warranty.
I hope and pray Cash Converters goes out of business and the employees join the rest of us struggling Australians to see what its really like!

Cash Converters Burwood NSW - bad business ethics.
Do not honor their online "quotes", and while you wait to have your intelligence insulted you can listen to the staff laugh about their other customers. (ie. fake tan, dyed hair etc.,).

Terrible service, scammers
I was trying to sell them my 6 months old bicycle. I was there first time with pictures of my bike, asking for estimate, how much I can expect for it. They told me I need to come with bicycle and show it to them, after that they can give me offer. So I came back next day with the bike and they didn't even look at it and offer me straight away $100 for bike with value over $500. It is absolute joke!

Great store!
I have been shopping at Cash Converters, Goodna for many years now. I am a DVD collector and call into the shop most days. The stock is always excellent and new stock is added most weeks. I often pick up DVD's that I have been searching for.
I also take friends to the shop when they are looking to buy used items as I have always been impressed with this shop. Over the years, I have bought, or helped friends buy, several computers plus other items.
The prices are excellent and I usually receive a discount on my purchases.

Warranty????????
My disabled son purchased a laptop from CC Capalaba for $219. Several keys didn't work. He tried to return it three days later but request was refused. His father went with him next time to return it but the employees refused. No manager was available to speak to and the employees didn't know when the manager would be in. It seems no one can contact the manager by phone or email to find out. The customer service was deplorable. The store is displaying a 30 day warranty on goods but according to their website the warranty is 90 days. Cash Converters should be more responsible when dealing with vulnerable people.
Update. Manager was available today. She was very helpful and offered a credit note for the cost of the laptop. Thank you Simone
