Comfortable but poor build
Very nice appearing vehicle. I had the black with factory black wheels. Fully loaded with options which you normally only find in cars that cost a lot more. However build quality is poor. By 20,000km the wrap around the steering wheel was coming off. Had to be glued back on. At 25,000km the spring loaded compartment cover had broken. Maybe I got a lemon. But I really enjoyed driving it.
Purchased in March 2021 at Chrysler Dealers.

Chrysler 300 2012 3.6 problems
In 2015 I bought a used Chrysler 300 2012 with 27k on cluster from Tynan Motors Sutherland. At 60k my alternator was burned. I tried to find another one on google and I saw that was a safety recall in USA for alternator, even I had a warranty, guys from Tynan didn't want to hear about that,like... it's changeable part and I have to pay for new one. After many emails and calls we decided to take legal action and we send them a email to tell that... Maybe one hour after that email, they call us to tell that we can bring the car to them and they gon...Read more
na put a new one with no charge. Now the car has 140k on cluster, it runs very well with no mehanical problems. Only I have an electrical problems with back camera,it doesn't work and cruise control, sometimes it works, sometimes not working. Sorry for my English Cheers.Purchased in July 2021 at Tynan Motors.

T36 Recall a nightmare
FCA had a T36 recall which had the Alternator to be replaced as according to their recall campaign it states that "the alternator on your vehicle may experience diode thermal fatigue failure due to cyclical loads induced by electro-hydraulic power steering (EHPS). If the diodes fail, the alternator will no longer supply electrical energy to the vehicle and may lead to a vehicle stall without warning, increasing the risk of crash." Tried to book my car for this recall with the authorised dealer but they had no parts in the country.

Worst service and manufacturing defacts
We bout 2 x 300c luxury in aug 2013 both diesel. One had lot of issues with engine and got it fixed after 2 years of complaints and leaving cat at several dealerships. Both of cars had same issue where leather dash starts peeling of form front its very common manufacturing problem with this cars. we got one car fixed under warranty but they refused to cover second one under warranty. I will never recomend any one to buy any fiat chrysler products as there quality of service at dealerships is worse then poor, same there products.
Purchased in August 2021.

Beast with Beauty!
As a kid it was one of my dream cars to own and now that dream has come true. What a beautiful car it is with a power packed engine, with 6.4 Hemi you don’t have to tell how much power it gives. Yes little expensive on fuel but elegant things doesn’t come cheap. Definitely a big yes for this car.

6.4 Hemi engine failures
Same with us, I will never buy a Chrysler again. WE have a 2013 SRT8 Core that has had the engine fail twice - top end rebuild then a full engine replacement. Jeep Australia are dodgy, paid for the first repair (5 weeks off the road with no courtesy vehicle), then a total rebuild but would only pay for 1/2 the engine and no labour.
We have a court date with Fair-trading NSW and Jeep in two weeks time so trying to gather some data to support our position that it was the same issue. Car has done 130 km in 4 years and fully serviced - although Je...Read more

Dream of a car!
Just recently picked up a 300 SRT Hyperblack, it is an awesome vehicle. Prior to picking it up, all I've managed to find out is that there are heaps of improvements since 2015 through until now, so I really bought it with lots of confidence, having never owned anything of this style/design before(HEMI, 8cyl, American).
So totally hope it stays true to this, will definitely share more of my experiences when the time comes, for now, the car drives amazingly well, especially for how big and heavy the body is! It definitely doesn't make you feel t...Read more
hat way when you drive. The options and perks that the car comes with is something you'd get in like a Mercedes E63 onwards. So it is definitely bang for buck in terms of power style and options, especially when you're paying 1/3 of the price. Update: Just over a year now. Still loving the car, puts a smile on my face every time I get behind the wheel, I've had 3 warranty calls. The headunit, 2 pieces of interior carbon fibre trim peeling, and lower windscreen cowl warping. Each and every time, the guys at Northern Jeep dealt with the problem in the smoothest and swiftest way possible. At the moment I still stand by thoughts that I had in the beginning.Purchased at Northern Motor Group.

A Pretty Good Cruiser
I have had my Chrysler 300c Luxury for 4 and a half years and overall it has been a good car; it is such a cruiser and it looks like a beast on the road. It's also pretty quick off the mark for such a heavy car but it's nowhere near the class of an SRT model! I also like the leather seats in the car which are really comfortable, they are also have heat and cool options which is great!

her car brands you have to purchase them as upgrades. Aftermarket service is pretty good as long as you get a good dealership (In Melbourne definitely don't go to Brighton for service, Chadstone dealership is so much better). Chrysler 300c Negatives:I did have a major issue with it 1 week after I picked it up where the steering failed when I was going through a round about and I almost crashed into a light pole because of it. I took it to back to the dealer in disgust and they found that a wire had simply come loose or had not been connected properly (How they missed this and didn't check it before they handed it over is puzzling!). Other things to go wrong on my car include the voice activated bluetooth system which stopped working just after my warranty expired, and the dealership wanted close to $2k to put in a new one (no thanks!). And I always had a really strange problem with my recycled air button not working properly in the winter (it always worked fine in summer though!!). The dealership tried to convince me this was normal as the recycled air button has a shut off feature if you drive for too long - this made no sense though as I would start the car on a cold morning and the button wouldn't work from the get go. They never did fix this problem even though I told them about it so many times! Also lastly there has been about 4 or 5 recalls on this car since I have had it and they keep coming too as I just received one for those faulty airbags! Overall the Chrysler 300c luxury has been a great car to drive and the engine has been reliable as I haven't had any major issues with it over 4 and a half years, but a few other things have broken on the car so if you're thinking of buying one of these second hand you might want to be careful and have the car inspected very carefully before purchase.Similar opinion? Buyer beware - chrysler after sales service is appalling - will never buy a chrysler again
Since I purchased my SRT8 new it has been in the workshop on and off (altogether now approx. over a quarter of its life)!! The dealership say their hands are tied until Chrysler decide what they're going to do, whilst it sits at the dealership idle. There has been numerous noises from inception which were documented and Chrysler have been no help whatsoever in solving the engine issues. Now however that it's out of warranty and it is up on a hoist at a dealership with no engine in it - Chrysler still will not come to the party and rectify th...Read more

Excellent daily highway cruiser
I bought this car at Pickles Auctions in 2015 with 23,000 km. Now 3 years and 96,000 kms later, I still love driving it to work and on weekends everyday.
Looks - Personally I like the classic high-end styling that makes this car feel just as comfortable pulling in front of valets at the Sofitel as it does cruising down the Hume highway. The Chrysler 300 is no sleek Japanese or sophisticated European, this car just oozes Americana cool. The interior gauges are a beautiful art-deco design with a blue ambient glow to give that luxury town-car ...Read more
feel. The materials are fine, similar to the mid-high range falcons and commodores. Reliability - The service intervals are average at per 15,000 km, I usually have it done at the Mopar service centre at around $320 - $390 (depending of km checkup). There was an issue with the rear-view camera image. Several attempts to reboot the software failed before the dealer replaced the camera. Overall, since I was close to the dealership and it was still in warranty the experience was not a major issue. Drive - The 8-speed automatic transmission is oily smooth and the engine extremely quiet. On the highway this car become a lounge sofa; sit back in the heated leather seat and immerse yourself in crisp Alphine 9-speaker system while sipping a cold drink from the chilled cup-holders is all part of the standard 300c experience. Fuel economy on highway is excellent, I got 8.3 L/100km. However, things are a bit different in the suburbs or city streets. Fuel economy jumps to 12.6 L/100km and the transmission has a habit of down-shifting on the slightest downhill or bump. Acceleration is sluggish and tight corners tricky to navigate. Overall the 300's performance is refined but does not like to be rushed. Overall, the Chrysler 300 fills a very specific niche: the daily highway driver. But it fills this niche better than any other cars out there within its price range! It more refined than a Toyota Avalon, more distinct than a Commadore SV6, and people wouldn't mistake you for an accountant, like an Audi A5.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

All new cars are nice during the test drive but what about 5 years later and 60k? I bought my 2013 Luxury in June 2013 and it is still outstanding for
-Quite ride, no rattles or squeaks after doing many km's from Canberra to Mudgee and Melbourne trips also.
-Everything just works! Never has to get anything fixed during or after warranty
-Only had a couple of minor recall repairs and the dealer even washed my car after as well!
- People still come up to me and tell me how great it looks and how their friends who have Chryslers love theirs as...Read more

Do Not Buy A Chrysler
After seeking a good will claim for a faulty headlight, as my vehicle is only 5 months out of warranty, my claim has been rejected. The headlight is $4000 plus labor to fit, so this is very convenient for Chysler to reject it.
The 2 people I have dealt with were the rudest 2 people I have ever dealt with in the automotive industry. To say the second person I spoke with ([name removed]- some acting supervisor) was arrogant is the understatement of the year. The car is immaculate inside and out, has full service history from authorised Chrys...Read more
ler dealerships and they flat out refuse to assist. My goal now is to stop just one person buying one of these cars. I personally will never recommend to anyone to purchase one of these cars and I will never step foot back into a Chrysler dealership again. I will also never purchase a Chrysler vehicle again. The rip off price of $4000 for a headlight itself is a disgrace, but the bitter taste of Chrysler Australia customer service has left me speechless. Do not buy a CHRYSLER.Similar opinion? THRILLING DRIVING EXPERIENCE WITH LUXURY
I bought this SRT version last month and i love this car. It makes me happy every time i press the accelerator. The coolest option is to switching to 4 cylinder option to enhance maximum fuel efficiency. you can feel the enormous power it has at every touch. It has 19 speaker harman kardon system which is pretty good. Excellent breaking with Brembos.

One of the better car
Chrysler 300 is a car worth investing as it provides a very good driving experience with performance that is of a quality class. Dashboard is attractive and functional. Legroom for a tall individual. Running costs are OK but need to be evaluated on an ongoing basis. I can recommend this car for a discerning user.

Great Car Bad Alternator
Purchased new in 2011 has 51000 miles on it. Never had any issues with this car until last Saturday. While driving not far from where we live in town we experienced a smell which indicated something was burning. Then noticed the NAV system all of the sudden had a power button on the screen with not explanation with it. Then the picture of a battery in the information section. We found a place that could check our battery and they said the alternator had quit working. We limped home and I got on line and found that there has been a safety ...Read more
recall for exactly the same symptoms with the same engine etc. Called Larry Miller Chrysler in Provo Ut. this morning they said there has been no recalls on my veh. therefore they couldn't do anything for me. Contacted Chrysler they said the same thing. What is troubling is that I pulled up a FCA letter for safety recalls on line which was a letter sent out for this issue covering the same year as out car and yet the reason they cannot do any for me is because our alternator is a 180 amp rather than 160 amp alternator. With the identical issues that which were described in the recall let that went out I have great difficulty in understanding this dilemma. It appears that until there is enough smoke and it becomes so smoky that the fire is obvious enough and a few people die on the highway Chrysler isn't interested in the individual obvious customer care concept. What a shame.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

u threaten them come back with a counter offer of you pay 20% no they should be responsible for the lot because their product is FAULTY!!! and they know it that's why they keep them in the workshop for so long saying they can't find a problem so the warranty runs out a little more whilst it sits in their dealership doing nothing . Their own useless Fiat Chrysler Expert Mechanic told us there was nothing wrong with it. Then when it ran out of warranty it start throwing codes on the dash no oil pressure to camshaft is this what you have had happen to you if so would you like to start a class action?. From the reviews I've read Chrysler don't seem to give a rats about their customers or their business they just tell you to do what you have to do in other words go get a lawyer or whatever we have more money than you to fight the case so we will win. I urge anybody thinking of buying any Chrysler vehicle to think twice as if anything ever goes wrong with it you'll be sorry you ever purchased it bloody appalling and bloody disgraceful from a company like this they should be ashamed. I hope they end up on the scrap heap of time in the future ANGRY OWNER.
