THRILLING DRIVING EXPERIENCE WITH LUXURY
I bought this SRT version last month and i love this car. It makes me happy every time i press the accelerator. The coolest option is to switching to 4 cylinder option to enhance maximum fuel efficiency. you can feel the enormous power it has at every touch. It has 19 speaker harman kardon system which is pretty good. Excellent breaking with Brembos.

One of the better car
Chrysler 300 is a car worth investing as it provides a very good driving experience with performance that is of a quality class. Dashboard is attractive and functional. Legroom for a tall individual. Running costs are OK but need to be evaluated on an ongoing basis. I can recommend this car for a discerning user.

Great Car Bad Alternator
Purchased new in 2011 has 51000 miles on it. Never had any issues with this car until last Saturday. While driving not far from where we live in town we experienced a smell which indicated something was burning. Then noticed the NAV system all of the sudden had a power button on the screen with not explanation with it. Then the picture of a battery in the information section. recall for exactly the same symptoms with the same engine etc. Called Larry Miller Chrysler in Provo Ut. this morning they said there has been no recalls on my veh. therefore they couldn't do anything for me. Contacted Chrysler they said the same thing. What is troubling is that I pulled up a FCA letter for safety recalls on line which was a letter sent out for this issue covering the same year as out car and yet the reason they cannot do any for me is because our alternator is a 180 amp rather than 160 amp alternator. With the identical issues that which were described in the recall let that went out I have great difficulty in understanding this dilemma. It appears that until there is enough smoke and it becomes so smoky that the fire is obvious enough and a few people die on the highway Chrysler isn't interested in the individual obvious customer care concept. Best car i have ever had
I am 6 ft 6" and 200kg this car is a big blokes car
Drives like a bentley magic motor car and 5-7 v8 roars to life when required cant fault it built very solid and no wonder the prices have gone up. The car was far better than fairlane and statesman previously owned and cheaper too
Just buy one today they are equal to a bentley at a fraction of price
My car now has 200k on clock and have done 30k in year still drives like new i am upgrading soon to a newer one the only car to buy

My first V8 and Woohoo!!
As soon as I saw the 300 years ago I knew I wanted one. Well, the opportunity came financially in late 2015 so I put in an order for the revamped 8 speed SRT Core model, it was delivered to me in march 2016. Life is too short to buy another fridge on wheels.
Driving wise it's very pleasurable. As soon as I hopped in for the first time (and btw I never test drove one before buying, that's how much I knew it was MY car) I was comfortable despite never being behind the wheel of such a high powered car before. Pure Luxury and Elegance
This car has exceeded all my expectations. The full leather interior with heated, or cold air behind the knees, seating with air conditioning controls for the rear seats are exceptional features! The rear view shade minimises the heat and automatically retracts while reversing. The drink holders can be set to cooling as well as heating. ll technology. The Chrysler has rear view and side sensors making this car with a large amount of room easy to manoeuvre with power steering. It is a smooth drive, handles extremely well with minimal noise and surprisingly takes minimal petrol considering it is such a large sedan. The best advice is to use the premium petrol as you get far more distance for the cost, making it more economical. It is a stunning car externally which commands attention. Most think the Chrysler is designed more masculine, however I have found it female friendly with hooks in the boot for groceries to stay in place, automatic headlights and even indicates on the dashboard when the tyres need to pumped, oil needs to be changed and even when it needs to be cleaned! It is an amazingly reliable car and not nearly as expensive as it looks. The only unforeseen cost has been servicing the car but is only slightly more than for a common sedan. Almost 3 years and still good and solid throughout
I've had the 2013 Chrysler 300c, 3.6Litre V6, 8 speed for almost 3 years now with no major problems. I drove it as a daily and on weekends too. Currently has 48,000 kms on the odometer. The acceleration is quite good from the 210kw engine. The handling is not bad for everyday roads, turns and round-abouts at normal speeds, just don't expect it to handle like a race car. Its is considerably quiet in the cabin while driving, but if you have the rear windows down only, the wind may cause a vibrating-like sound effect.

is 8.4 inches huge. Very responsive touch screen. Very intuitive and easy to use. Plays Bluetooth, AUX, USB, SD card, CD and movies DVDs too. Voice command was poor in getting my voice commands right. I told it to play Metallica and it played Celine Dion. I told it to dial Niomi's phone and it dialed Nathan's number instead. The in-built Garmin navigator does the job but not the best. A few times I saw myself driving through a grass field and some roads where weirdly placed. A few times it seemed confused and kept re-directing even when I did not miss a turn. However I did like the extra smaller navigation arrows that appear between the cluster gauge in front of you alternatively so you didn't need to look to the center screen all the time. POI and options to call those places from the infotainment was really cool. Great for booking restaurants and hotels on the go. The leather and interior is very nice. Dream car
Always admired this shape but could not afford it.Finally saved money,wanted to get the newer shaped one but found an older one with only 20,000 kms at very reasonable price,so could not let it go.
The v6 has enough grunt for me.
I just love this car,the drive is awesome,a real head turner.
Have had no issues so far and just got it serviced and the filters changed.
Would probably never sell it.

Seriously good car,2013 model done 98k's with one speed sensor replaced under warranty, no other issues.. Was going to buy a Calais and I'm now glad I didn't. Would I buy another? The answer would have been "yes" until just recently.How good does the Ford Mustang look?

Beware dealing with Fiat Chrysler Australia
looks like its the same for a lot of people.
5 stars for buying the car. but if you have any issues with the car repairs and warranty issues its a 1 star, and only because there is no zero.
beware if you buy any cars of Fiat Chrysler Australia. Jeep, Chrysler, Fiat and the rest.
If you will have any issues after sales(and the odds are high you will - look at car recall by brand Australia) you will regret the day you bought the car.

Absolute junk
I got a 2006 build 300c 5.7 v8. Worse car I have ever owned.
92,000kms and it's ready for the scrapyard. A lot of little things breaking. E.g door handles. Automatic power widows. But the main thing is the engine. Destroyed at 92,000kms even though I have always looked after it and always had it serviced. These earlier models have a design fault in the engine which causes valve seats to drop, destroying engine and costing you several thousands of dollars in repairs.

nd the car was towed to my local Chrysler dealer they acted surprised at complete engine failure at 92,000kms. They pretty much said, go find a second hand engine and we will fit it for you. I did a lot of searches online and found that the 5.7L hemi engines are known to fail prematurely. Since Chrysler USA put these engines in many of the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge products they apparently fix engine failure from dropping valve seats for free. A good way to keep customers happy and keep them returning. But Chrysler AU were happy to charge to fix it. I ended up taking it to a mechanic that was recommended by a family member and he rebuilt the engine and told me to sell the car ASAP. His orginal quotes were circa $12,000 to fix. I told him I couldn't afford it so he spent a lot of time researching it and found a way to fix for only $8500. A couple of months before engine failure the drivers door handle fell off. Chrysler claimed it couldn't be fixed, it had to be replaced. There was apparently only one drivers door handle in Australia and it was in Melbourne. From memory it was about $330 to buy the handle and have it fitted. Due to the 300c being uncommon car, there are very few at scrape yards, so you don't even have the option of getting cheap parts from there. When you do find a scrape yard with parts they always seam to be halfway across the country. You have very little options so you either pay for new parts, of have them shipped from across the country or even the USA. Sadly let down constantly
I have waited what seems like a lifetime to own one of these and was the happiest kid on the block.... until it failed. Badly followed by a series of repairs and broken promises. I now am the proud owner of a horrible excuse for a car. I feel like I have made an awful mistake and there is zero support from Chrysler.

ailing causing accidents, the same symptoms my car is exhibiting. Dealer tells me it is software, the faults may be the same but it's not related. Highbeams keep switching on and off. Software update performed... problem persists. Keeps jumping forward after stopping, finally a technician at the dealer tells me he thinks it is a valve body. He is told he is wrong and it is software. Finally escalate to Chrysler head office and they inform me it was approved for valve body replacement months before. I call the dealer and am told it will have to be ordered. Eight weeks later and it is repaired. This whole process is now 9 months. Drive my car onto the freeway leaving the dealer and it loses all power... oncoming traffic during peak hour. I call the dealer... software issue. SRT8 is great
I owned a 2013 model SRT8 Cheysler 300, it was a beast in a Tux which is the best way to describe it! For the price it must be the best bang for buck, plus most luxurious! 0-100 in 5 seconds easy! The only reason I traded mine was to get a 4x4. Only downfall is a bit on the thirsty side and only sips 98, shame its not E85 compatitable. Had a couple of little issues with engine warning light to start with, but was an easy fix by Chrysler under warranty! I bought mine new and had it for a very enjoyable year!

dream car at a dream price
I purchased a 2013 300c Diesel in white, I can get well under 7.1 lts per 100 klms (6.8) and I drive progressive ! so many things for the price! heated seats, heated steering wheel, cup holders, cooling seats in the front and cup holders, 2 seat memory, auto wipers auto main beam fantastic on board computer tells all, engine, gearbox temp, tyre pressure. full economy details I have a caravan old and heavy, 12.7 Kls per 100 kls for the price very happy anyone interested should take a long test drive, you will soon get to love this car.

2013 300c
I purchased a 2013 300c 3.6 v6 8 speed auto new last year and its ok but not great. It's a good looking car and doesn't go unnoticed but it's not a BMW or MERC and nowhere near it. The ride is not as smooth as it could be and every bump in the road can be felt also the seats are very stiff even though I have them on the softest possible setting. Fuel consumption is around 13 litres/ 100k around town and 10 litres / 100k highway cruising which is not bad for a 1.8 ton vehicle. I suspect the vehicle will start falling to pieces when it's a bit older so I will be trading it in next year.

All the gadgets but no refinement
The car I drove was the 3.6L model. It had 30,000kms on the clock. I'll start with the styling, and to be fair I've never been a fan of Chryslers ostentatious, over the top styling. The metallic maroon was a nice color, it's a shame the positives stopped there. I will say it is an improvement over the previous shape.

t stood out to me as being horribly wrong. Why is it at such a great distance from the firewall/floor in comparison to the accelerator. This is very poorly thought out from a safety point of view, requiring greater distance of movement of the right foot before being able to apply the brakes. Controls for the audio system and climate control were not intuitive and required a bit of practice before I was able to get the hang of it. It's a shame all manufacturers haven't adopted something as simple as the iDrive system. Upon turning the lights on, I was blinded by a bright blue glow from the dash illumination. "Tacky" is probably the best way I can think to describe it. A simple white, orange or red lighting scheme would have been much less offensive. Performance wise, the car accelerated quite well for a 3.6L. Handling was adequate (the car didn't feel overly heavy). Braking was satisfactory. Fuel economy was average for a car of this size and engine capacity. Road noise was quite bad in the vehicle I drove, at any speed above 60km/hr wind noise could be heard in the rear of the car and a prominent rattle could be heard coming from within the dash somewhere. Not really acceptable from a car with 30000k on the odometer. I was unable to find a way to manually control the high beam on the car and had to resort to the automatic high beam feature. This was a little bit rough around the edges, taking a little too long to dip the lights when oncoming traffic came into view or the taillights of a vehicle ahead. This car is a hidden gem
I thought I would buy a car that was a bit different from the mundane bunch of the usual fare on offer. I had a test drive, and thought "I reckon I'll give this a go". Glad I did. This is a open road gem. Great on fuel (8 litres per 100k). Bought the base 300 petrol 8 speed. Plenty of features, more than happy. Very quiet, very smooth drive. buy from this dealer. As the question goes "Would you recommend this dealer to a friend?" Answer "No" Smooth ride, great on fuel. And nobody says "Hey what was that car", everybody knows and wish they had one. Poor dealer experience. They won't see me, or the car, in there again.1 comment
Update on the Chrysler 300. Had the car 3 years now. Still love the car. Never has it missed a beat. Still a head turner. Don't do a lot of K's. Have other work cars . So only 38k on the clock.. I hope the love affair continues.

First Chrysler v8 and won't be the last
I bought a silver Core demo in May from Caroline Springs dealer.
Michael my salesman was a really good guy, genuine and made an effort.
The price for my demo was outstanding, 6000klms with the sat nav option and paid mid 40s.
I've had 5 HSV, 1 FPV and 2 Audis and I'm really happy with the build quality of the Chrysler.
And the power of the Hemi is something to behold. Comfortable seats and heaps of room.

Cannot fault, Brilliant underrated
I bought my SRT8 Core in May, and cannot wait to get up everyday to drive it. I've been a mechanic for 20 years so hopefully I know a thing or to about cars. The second gen 300s 2012 onwards are so much better than the first gen it's not funny. If your looking for a large sedan, put these on your list to test drive. As for the 6.4 Hemi, oh my goodness!!!

Harsh downshifts
Car developed harsh, jolting downshifts into lower gears at only 3000km's. Chrysler technicians at the dealership purchased from have no solution. Search on the internet reveals that dozen's of V6 8 speed Jeeps, Chryslers and Dodges (share the same Pentastar engine and ZF transmission) have developed similar issues. According to these forums, Chrysler is fobbing off owners by declaring the problem isn't a problem at all, but a "characteristic" of these vehicles.

I was always a bit sceptical of the 8spd so when I bought the 2012 diesel I was happy to have the old trust worthy 5spd as its been in development for over 10 years I mean how many forward gears to you want ??

Hi Cuz, I havn't heard of anything untoward with the diesel 300c's. It should prove to be a good car for you but beware that dealer servicing can be a bit rich. I would change the oil and filter every 5000 kms max, at a regular mechanics and maybe get every second service done at the dealers for computer updates/ diagnosis etc. This could save you $500 per year. Enjoy !

Some months later and still no problems with the car and its up to 220,000km now
can be pricey door handles are $226each but you can buy chinese for just $30 . Keep these serviced and they are reliable good looking and powerful. Still the best car I have owned. Have seen online many problems with V6 version but the V8 Hemi are reliable engines.
