thanks for that, I believe that a fuse can be ruled out [my belief] because as I read the list of fuses they support multi functions and only this screen is non functional, does not even light up

Hi, I bought a second hand 2008 Citroen C4 1.6 HDi recently, 2 months now. Im having a new troubles with it:
I had battery failure week ago, car didn't start. So I had replaced the battery. Since then the stereo isn't working. I can only connect my phone via bluetooth but its only for calls. I can see power is coming to the stereo but in its menu the music section is grayed out. Can anyone please advice what to do?

Try to take the stereo fuse out and replug it back so, it reboots it. The fuse is in the glovebox. This is not a fault with the stereo unit. As the Bluetooth is goverened by the stereo unit, this will fix that too. Try also to pair your bluetooth as that could solve your bluetooth problems.

After about 18 months from new my C4 began intermittently running as if it was overheating. The thermostat seemed to be unreliable. It would kick in with a cool engine, and then stay running long after switching the engine off. Eventually I had the thermostat replaced and for four months all was fine. Now it has started the same symptoms again though with no indication the engine is over heating, It even starts running after driving a mile or so. How come with a brand new replacement? Could something else be triggering this?

Yeah it also could be the radiator in which case a radiator specialist might be able to help you or perhaps the thermostat had wrecked up again or it could even be a electrical problem in which case a hyandai Australia workshop or a auto electrician shop might be able to help you further

Hi K - First go for the simplest possible solution. Double check your installation of the new door lock/switch mechanism. Then cycle ALL your security systems. If this doesn't correct the problem. Try going through the computer reboot process (if you dont know what this is check on line - it involves a set sequence of shutting down the vehicle, disconnecting the battery, reconnection and time).
