Hello. We recently bought your cleanser, smooth skin 8, toner and copper peptide serum for my daughters acne. But we can’t remember the process the lady explained for use. Can you tell us which order she should use the products, which ones she rinses off and how regularly each should be used?
Thanks.

Clearskincare C.Clearskincare Clinics

Hi Kate, for those particular products we would recommend this order:
1. Gel Cleanser - Use to cleanse the face, apply pea size amount across face and rinse off. Use day and night.
2. Salicylic Toner - Use sparingly on affected areas, place small amount of product onto a cotton pad and dab lightly on acne spots. Do not rinse off and allow product to sit on the skin until dry before applying next product. Use day and night.
3 Copper Peptide Serum - Place 2-3 drops directly onto the skin and apply across the face. Do not rinse of and allow product to sit on the skin until dry before applying next product. Use day and night.
4. Smooth Skin 8% - Use sparingly on affected areas, place pea size amount on to fingers and apply on and around acne spots. Do not rinse off and allow product to sit on the skin until dry before applying a moisturiser. Only use at night time.

We hope this is helpful!

Hi I am almost in my second trimester and have been using the gel cleanser, copper peptide serum, toner, moisturiser and sunscreen avoiding other products due to the effects they can have but I have just read that some of the ones I've been using could be harmful too? I googled before continuing and read it was safe but just wanted to confirm as I've also read the toner could be harmful when pregnant too?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Caitlen,
Thank you for reaching out regarding your products! We can assure you that the products you are using are completely safe when you are pregnant or breast feeding. The only products we would recommend to avoid using is our New Skin and Steiva creams as it is mainly Vitamin A derivatives or Hydroquinone actives that aren't recommended if you are pregnant or breast feeding.

We hope this helps!

Hi
So I've been using the copper peptide serum for the last two weeks and I've been noticing that when I use it, my skin becomes dry and flaky. Any reason why this happens?

Thank you

Hi Sarah,

The copper peptide serum should not be making you dry or flaky. It is quite hydrating, rejuvenating and contains healing properties.

Are you using any other products?

Hi
I recently started getting the SGA treatment (I've had two sessions so far) to treat a few pimples and enlarged pores but since the treatment I've been breaking out more than ever before. Is this normal? Should I stop this treatment?
I've also started using the smooth skin glycolic cream, so could that potentially be a reason? I've also started the copper peptide and noticed that is making my skin more dry and flaky that usual.

what do you recommend I do next?

Thank you

I was recently encouraged to purchase the clear skincare hyaluronic acid serum to help with the skin care regime but after going home, realised it has benzyl alcohol. I do know hyaluronic acid is meant to do good to the skin but dont understand why benzyl alcohol, a harmful ingredient that dries out and potentially further harm the skin in a long run is added into the serum?

Please help me understand and know Im not putting on harmful products that were encouraged to be purchased.

Hi Sara,

While it is an ingredient the amount used is extremely minimal and only included as it helps preserve the product. It will not have any adverse or drying effects on the skin.

I am thinking of getting laser hair removal. I have dark hair and light skin so I understand the alexandrite laser you use is ideal for my colouring. Can you tell me if its better for me to shave the day of the treatment ... or the day before? Any other preparations on my behalf needed prior to my appointment? Thanks.

Clearskincare C.Clearskincare Clinics

Hi Corinne,

We ask that you shave the area two days prior to your appointment. It is also important that you have not waxed, or tweezed the area for 5 weeks prior the appointment or had any sun exposure or fake tan on the area you want lasered two weeks prior to the appointment.

Hi Clearskincare Clinics,
I have been using the gel cleanser, smooth skin 8% cream and moisture plus cream for a few months now.
My morning routine at the moment, gel cleanser then SKII essence, smooth skin cream then BB cream. My question, i just did some research and they say that acids have to go first before essence. But my confusion is, because the smooth skin is in a form of a cream, is it correct the order i have been applying my morning routine?
need advise ASAP, thanks

Clearskincare Clinics
Clearskincare C.Clearskincare Clinics

Hi Vee,

Thank you for your enquiry! We would definitely recommend putting any serums or essences after using any products with a percentage of active ingredients / fruit acids as your serums and essences most of the time are meant to hydrate which should be done after any acids so that hydration can be put back into the skin.

We hope this helps!

I’ve been getting the peels. But they staff are trained in what works best. They do lasering and a led type light treatment for acne and scars.

Hi There,

I would recommend visiting your closest clinic to have a complimentary skin consultation. Everyone's skin is very different and responds differently to treatments so it's best one of our senior therapists looks at your skin before recommending any treatments. I hope that helps!

Thanks for the response. Why you didn't make a refund? Every customer have a rights to change their mind especially if the treatment is very painful with me and I think I can't go through again with the next treatment. I'm gonna see a dermatologist and check if the treatment is right for my skin. The clinic that I visited is in Adelaide, SA.

Hi, i was advised after my consultation at clrarskincare clinic to use smooth skin8% in the morning. Then the moisture+ cream in the evening. I was wondering can i use the smooth skin 8% in the evening with the moisture+cream? Will it work better since i wont be putting any make up in the evening?

Thanks,
Vee

Clearskincare Clinics
Clearskincare C.Clearskincare Clinics

Hi Vee,

Thank you for your message! It is best to use the Smooth Skin 8% in the morning as the active ingredients will continue to work on your skin throughout the day and to use Moisture + at night so the cream can moisturize your skin whilst you sleep. You can use Moisture + at any time of the day however if you would need some extra moisture before applying your makeup.

We hope this helps!

I have been told that the fractional resurfacing in Western Australia is not done with a laser. Is this correct? And if so what are they using here in WA and why is it not on your website?

1 answer
Clearskincare Clinics
Clearskincare C.Clearskincare Clinics

Hi Jennifer,

Thank you for your enquiry! We apologise for the delay in response.

Our Fractional Skin Resurfacing treatment uses the same method across all of our centres Australia wide. We use the Pixel RF machine that uses radio frequency technology. The Pixel Radiofrequency applicators deliver electromagnetic energy to the skin’s surface which creates micro-perforations in the skin to deliver a deep heat injury to the tissue resulting in new collagen formation with minimal downtime.

We have a video on our website under the Anti-Ageing tab in the 'Skin Resurfacing' option which gives a visual on the hand piece and what it looks like when the treatment is performed. Our Dr Philippa McCaffery also gives a brief explanation of the treatment.

We hope this answers your questions! Please let us know if you'd have any further queries.

Kind Regards,
