Buyer Beware - used once, multiple faults, excessively noisy
I purchased the Comp434 at Innaloo Perth a few weeks before moving into my apartment.
Box says suitable for use in "home".
On the first use I attached the hose to the tap in the laundry and half-filled tub 1 (agitator) with water. Tub 2 (spinner) incorrectly fills with water but I switched on the wash anyway. Then the plastic lint filter became unhinged and rattled around with the clothing creating excessive noise and scraping the clothes. I discovered the drain function is just a manual twist. No pump and couldn't empty the machine with th...Read more

Love the machine, washes and spins well but a question: Why does the water drain into the spinner when filling.
Why does the water drain into the spinner when filling the washing bowl? It seems very unnecessary and is extra to spin out when clothes are put in for spinning.
Purchased in January 2021.

Don’t leave home without it!
Easy to use, fill with clean water add you detergent and clothes set to wash, then drain, add fresh water and rinse, drain, move clothes to spin tub and spin. Runs off 240v. Ours is getting loud the older it gets unfortunately. But cleans clothes well as long as you don’t overfill.

Great upgrade
I purchased this two months ago as a replacement for a cheaper smaller older version. This machine does a much better wash then the previous and the drying cycle is a great improvement. The only downside is the lint filer keeps coming unattached however that does not really affect the quality of the wash

Lasted just over 2 1/2 years.
I had the ezywash for just over 2 1/2 years when I noticed that the washing action had started to slow down. I persevered with it for a few more weeks until it got to the point that it could only wash about half the sized load that it could originally. Even then I had to run the wash cycle for the maximum 15 mins. I rang Companion to ask how much it would cost to fix but they told me to contact the dealer I had purchased it from as they don't repair them. I contacted the dealer who in turn told me to contact Companion as they don't repair washi...Read more
ng machines either. After I described the problem to Companion they said that it sounds like the drive belt had stretched out with use and that they could sell me a replacement for about $30 but I would have to fix it myself or organise someone to do it for me. I decided that it just wasn't worth the trouble and that I'd probably be better off just buying a new machine. So I've ordered the Camec compact. I hope I get a lot more use out of this one! Washed well while it was working. Didn't last anywhere near as long as I would have expected. Disappointed that nobody seemed willing to fix it either.Similar opinion? Best to get an electrician to take a look at this. In the mean time, switch off the power before touching it - you don't want to get electrocuted.
Had a similar experience, switched to spin & sparks flew out from under the lid. By the time we switched off the 240 flames were coming out. Fat lot of good an electrician will do without parts Barbara!
