Good for starters. Economical.

As suggested by our friends, we bought this rice cooker and have been using it for more than two weeks now. It cooks rice fast in around 20 to 25 minutes and was a good value for money. I think it can cook around 5 cups of rice which is more than enough for the two of us or when we have 2-3 guests.

Set and Forget

published

The beauty of this cheap rice cooker is you just set and forget and in @ 20 min the rice is perfectly cooked. Just fill the cup provided with rice and fill the rice cooker to the level marked in the bowl, give it a quick stir around, put the lid on and move lever to cook. It has autoswitch off to warm. Too easy. Better with white rice. Easy to clean bowl, no need for abrasives.

So bad, it has been removed from sale

The same unit is sold at Big W as a "Contempo CFXB-20. the 40 is actually the bigger 10 cup model.
Bought this cooker literally 5 weeks ago from Big W.
Used it maybe a dozen times, then it just stopped. Everything dies eventually, but after 5 weeks?
Took it back, intending to swap it, only to find that Big W have taken it off their shelves.
