Space-saving and peace of mind
First replacement set of tyres on my little hatch. In my opinion, the peace of mind that comes with having run flat tyres is worth the extra cost. It means that i can go on long distance drives knowing that in the event of a tyre puncture, I can still get myself to the next service station or even back home (if I'm within 80kms). This negates having to pull over on high speed freeways, quiet or dark roads. With a small car, the extra boot space you get from not having a spare tyre really helps.
