over priced and under delivering.
Fairly solid product except for two issues that i will disclose and leave up to you to see if you can live with them. Firstly, they did not last the warranty period (80,000klm) on my car (Aurion GSV50R) only about 60,000klm. The tyre fitters were not prepared to lodge a warranty claim on my behalf so just bought my new set from their competition, and will do so for my wife's car and my Landcruiser in the coming months, their loss. The other issue is; they give out on sweeping bends causing under-steer characteristics. Kinda a big one given their price point. and if they were great under acceleration maybe I could have forgiven them.
Purchased in March 2021 at Tyrepower for $215.00.

Doesn't live up-to the hype
No complaints about the grip. But there is no noticeable improvement in ride handling or noise reduction. In fact they are as noisy as my previous cheap pace tyres. I only did 3000kms on it. So will come back in a few years to comment about tread life. I usually put 38 psi in my tyres. Like the solid feel.

Durable tyres which lasted for 76000km
Replaced the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sports on our 2015 Subaru Outback Diesel at 53 000km. They were the original tyres. I did not have an alignment or rotation during this time and the front tyres were the first to wear out. I'm sure there are other factors to consider but interestingly, the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport have a Treadwear rating of 300. The treadwear rating for the Coopers is 580. Not sure of the tread depth on the Bridgestone Duelers but the Coopers are 8.6mm.

about 4mm of tread left. I have taken them to the tyre shop be looked at every 10 000km and they have been checked and rotated as required. The majority of driving is on the Highway between Yass and Canberra, a trip to Sydney every 4-6 weeks and one trip to Melbourne. Feels solid and planted in the wet and smooth and quiet on the highway. They are a durable tyre and going strong after 50000km. Changed tyres after 76000 km. Were down to about 2mm from original 8.6mm. Tyres had worn pretty evenly. Have purchased another set of the same tyres.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Impressive early days
Have replaced Pirelli All Seasons Verde with these Coopers. Had read very good reviews of the CS5 Grand Touring but they are not available in the recommended size so ran with these. Initial impressions are of a very neutral steering, smooth riding, quiet and grippy in wet tyre. The Pirelli's were noticeably noisier and the tread in the Chinese made version chunking out badly.

Just replaced after 45 000 ks. Still had another 1.5 mm above wear bars but some inside wear so would not pass rego check. It was 'too difficult' for the distributor to make a claim against the advert... Read more
ised 80 000k warranty promise as I didn't have time to muck around and apparently you have to apply for a refund or percentage of the replacement on the same tyre and wait for a response. In short; good tyre but don't buy for the warranty and don't be disappointed if they wear out early.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Are cooper tyres good for an SUV?
1 answer
Irene. I am very happy with the Cooper CS5 UT on our Kia Sorento AWD SUV so far after approx. 10 000Ks.
An SUV is really only a larger and in some cases marginally heavier car. Unless you are travelling on unsealed and slippery (mud or snow) roads a lot there is no real difference with the actual tyre requirement. Cooper have traditionally been associated with heavy duty and expensive All Terrain tyres suitable for both bitumen and rugged offroading. I was surprised when the Ultra Touring road tyre became available here, and at a reasonable price.
It comes down to what is available to legally fit your wheels, and how much you want to spend. Reputable brands usually cost a bit more.

25000ks and the front Coopers have approximately 5mm of the total 8.6mm left. Hmm...doesn't look like we are going to get the 80000ks 'promised'. Tyrepower dealer says we should have rotated at 10000k... Read more
s. I still doubt this car would get the 80000ks. They are quiet and grip very well and so far have not had the punctures our previous Pirelli Scorpion Verde tyres were prone to, so I would be happy with 60000ks which i think is more realistic. The Kia AWD still sends more drive to the front so the AWD designation it is a bit of a 'furphy'. Tyrepower dealer also advised more air pressure as side of tyre tread was worn more than centre so now closer to 40 psi.
