Employees do not have hygiene concept
I saw two employees handling food without wear gloves. One islander like, she wiped her sweat with her bare hand and touch food.
Another Indian lady at check out does not call my ticket number instead called out food and she touched my food with bare hand. How disgusting these are.
Should not the manager or supervisor educate their employee on food safety rules
I am not coming back not unless you ensure food safety are followed by your staffs.

Disgusting taste - forrest cake
We bought forrest cake on 30th of dec 2022. Taste was awful. I don’t think it was fresh. Sponge of the cake tasted like bread. Even fresh bread tastes better than Costco’s forrest cake. Waste of money. Never purchase again.

Don't waste your precious time and money
I thought I could save some money by buying in bulk here, but they don't beat any other stores for fresh produce and many other products. When you pay the membership fee it tallies up for the normal grocery or your fresh produce market. On top the rude staff and busy premises and worthless horrible experience taking a toll on your health is not worth. Don't go to Costco. If this is not convincing enough I found some questionable content on the fresh produce that they have used for keeping stored for longer periods of time. They looked fresh, bu...Read more
t smelled gross and when tested unhealthy and poisonous. My wife bought banana and salad leaves We found the banana and salad leaves to have a terrible smell and some 3M products to look like cheap knock-offs. Also the tooth brushes and tooth paste looked quite cheap and not the same quality (same products though) as the ones I buy in Chemist Warehouse.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Horrible customer service
Visiting the Auburn store, wanting to buy a TV set, couldn’t find anyone to help me. Found someone in a nearby section and requested someone to help me. After asking what I needed he promptly dismissed my questions as irrelevant. He obviously had no technical knowledge, he even suggested I visit “Harvey Norman” if I wanted to try a remote on a TV. I did go somewhere else, JB Hi Fi, they were very helpful and answered all my questions. I won’t be renewing my membership. If I could, I give them NO stars.

Worst Customer care
Worst customer service, arrogant and unfriendly guys at the Auburn store.
I was wondering the levels of customer care from Costco. With each level going up, they seem to be more hostile and arrogant. Frankly speaking, I have never experienced this kind of a behaviour anywhere in the world. Not seen any of the staff over there showing the minimum courtesy of even smiling to customers.

Great on quantity, meh on variety
I wanted to buy the Vornado 660 in Costco through my friend who was a member. But we live far apart and I didn't want to make her travel so I ended up getting a membership myself.
I thought why not have a look. Like most people say, almost everything is sold in bulk quantities...I live in a shared house some distance away with my bf and I have no car, so I almost have no business here. But there were still items I wanted to look out for. I saw big tubs of Nuttelex Original but not Buttery. I saw Australia's Own Organic Soy Milk sold in huge ...Read more
quantities, but it was the only brand of soy milk that they have. I didn't find Bonsoy soy milk which is the only thing I'm willing to save through buying in bulk. They have a lot of things but not many brands to choose from for one particular item. I think that Costco is probably worth it for large families, who have a car, and who have space in their house to spare. And it's also good enough for people who don't care too much for different brands and variety. Unfortunately they didn't carry the items I would be interested in other than the Vornado 660. Needless to say I asked for a cancellation and refund of membership on the same day. And why did I give it four stars? Because they honoured their membership satisfaction guarantee and the membership application/cancellation process was quick and smooth. They also made it clear that all warranties on electronics/white goods are void if I choose to terminate my membership so I don't get nasty surprises later on, fyi. In that short period of 1 hour of membership I got my Vornado 660 $30 cheaper than the cheapest elsewhere, that's satisfying enough for me.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Worst ever Black Forest Cake. No fresh cream taste. Sour Cherry jam not enough. Weird Chocolate cake
As titled worst Black Forest Cake I ever had. Typical American style. Buy this for your party and your guest will be very disappointed at you for being cheap and the cake on the plates will not be finished.
My background: Dessert Lover who love Fresh cream. Real ingredient. Correct Taste. Right texture. Fresh smell. I don't care about price, as long as it makes me satisfy.

I'd say membership value is terrible value
So, there are two types of products at Costco. Products you can get elsewhere and products exclusive to Costco. The products you can get elsewhere, are usually cheaper elsewhere and are in more manageable quantities. So if you don't need 4L of mayo, get it from ALDI for half the price per. It's better valued and you don't need an extension on your house to store it.
The second type, are Costco exclusives, like their Kirkland brand stuff. It's pretty top shelf quality generally, but not cheaper.
So, if you want to save on groceries, go to Aldi. If you want Kirklands and can afford to pay more for things in general and have that house extension, get membership.

Not sure - on the fence
Not sure if I am a fan of Costco or not yet, I get that you can buy in bulk but I really don’t see it that much cheaper as people make out to be and the brands aren’t as great as you would get in Coles or Woolworths.

A Car Battery Order
Quite disappointed with a car battery order - just an Exide 50D20LMF for a Mazda 3. Called 3 times. No-one can give me an answer. No-one called back either. It's over two weeks now (1 Dec 2018)! (The Star was only put in as it's mandatory!)

Costco Wetsuits Passing Off Big name Brands (Adrenalin & Seadoo) but are total Rubbish!
Costco have blatantly tried to pass off their rubbish wetsuits with big name brands. Adrenalin vs Adrenaline for example. I for one was taken by this minor change of spelling thinking I was buying a good brand. However the quality is far from satisfactory. After using my Costco Adrenaline wetsuit just 6 times the stitching around the neck overlap started to break causing the overlap to come apart. A day later the zipper slider just fell off the zipper whilst simply pulling the zipper up to close the back of the wetsuit as you do. On close exami...Read more
nation I also noticed that the wetsuit had started to tear apart just below the zipper due to the very poor construction i.e. lack of stretch and complete lack of reinforcement below the zipper. This for a wetsult used once a day for a little over a week! But properly made wetsuits should last not for days, but rather for years! They tried to pass off the brand name but couldnt even copy the construction. All I have to say is SHAME SHAME SHAME on you Costco. Now to add insult to injury. This wetsuit was gifted to me and I cant even return it for a refund as I am entitled under Australian Consumer Law because Costco requires the persons membership number and furthermore will only refund by the same method by which it was purchased. Let me tell you there is absolutely NO SAVING with CostCo. What you pay is what you get but worse!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Always excellent
Always a good shopping experience, staff are friendly and helpful, the entire complex is always so clean from the carpark to the eating area to the toilets and the main shopping area. And the food there is just too good to be true. Can’t go past there $1.99 hot dog and drink but if you want something really special try their mouth watering cheeseburger. The meat pattie on this burger is so thick and juicy, fresh crisp lettuce and tomato, yummy cheese and the sauce will have you licking your lips for more, and the milk bun is always perfect for $6.99 it’s pretty good.

Cash Grab Atm Lidcombe Costco....
Since its opening the Lidcombe Costco had available an ATM machine which happened to be a Westpac machine.
I found it useful as I was with one of the banks that enabled withdrawals at no additional charge. A couple of weeks ago I had completed shopping and needed some cash. I went to the machine - it was a new one, and upon withdrawal required the withdrawer to pay an extra $2.00!! Needless to say I declined to pay and went looking for someone to whom I could convey my dissatisfaction at this situation?
The only person I could find was no...Read more
t a manager, nor was he much use "you can use a page (120mm X 100mm on a shelf some 30 metres away to Complain" When I saw the page, there was no where near enough space for my complaint! I found on their website an address and conveyed to them in strenuous terms my displeasure of this change which required (cash grab) by them. Very few countries that I have been in charge people for access to their own money? Here in Australia it has been done in a way that people must be prepared to accept this practice, I do not??? The only response was from a person who must have received my complaint and she return emailed to say that it had been forwarded to the Assistant General Manager? It is several weeks now and I have yet to receive any sign of communication from this person. Maybe there are many such as I who are lodging complaints and I am in the pile somewhere or perhaps he/they do not consider it worth their while to communicate with a dissatisfied customer??Similar opinion? Is it worth it
Having been a Costco addict I have now had a costcoectomy, is my life better? Yes !Do I miss It? yes! how did i deal with this addiction ? like any addiction i considered CA but it doesnt exist well not yet, Costco food is great, but so is Dr pepper on a hot day, eating Costco food will do to you what Hitler did to Germany, greatly enlarge its borders. Costco has many benefits but my ADvice if u are single, do what I did go with your Lebanese neighbour and use there card, watch the prices, take a calculator and remember your freezer size

Costco is for large families
If you have a large family, then Costco is worth the membership. However if your a single like me, then in all honesty the $60.00 membership is not worth it.
