Problem with Panasonic guaranteed
I bought a Panasonic oven at Costco Ipswich on December 3rd. It cost $ 590, it worked 2 months and it was damaged, this oven is conventional. I made a loaf of bread for 20 minutes and opened the oven. wait about 4 minutes. remove everything, leave the oven empty and closed. I went to work for a space of 10 hours when I returned I could not heat a coffee because the oven floor was like when a glass is gently smashed, and a semicircular mark. the next day I went to costco with the oven. and they just gave me an email and a phone number from...Read more
panasonic. after a long month they reply that the oven has no guarantee for that damage, which was an accumulation of heat. And what do I have to do with it! I do not know nor was I given a manual to handle a heat accumulation! this is terrible! incredible! that costco does not respond directly with the guarantees. Those are arrangements that you must make with companies and not put customers to do a thousand things for a guarantee that rather seems to be the way to wash their hands and not comply with their customers. I keep sending this email everywhere., and since panasonic has places to fix its products. nor have they informed us. and so from one side to the other of unanswered emails. the warranty will simply expire. this doesn't seem fair to meSimilar opinion? Can you give us any update on stocks available?
I have to travel to get there. I'm not trying to hoard, just usual shopping, but I'm not sure if the shelves are stocked. Can Costco or another customer help?

Convenient, well stocked, affordable.
We have been members of Costco for many years, but Costco Ipswich is our closest store now. It is similar to any Costco with bulk buying for those who have large families or room for storage. They stock many items not available elsewhere in Australia with sharp prices and a wide ranging and changing inventory.
We have always been treated with courtesy and efficiency by staff. Warehouse stores like Costco do not have many employees roaming the stores to answer questions and probably no experts in areas like electronics. Prices are good an...Read more
d for those who do their homework real bargains are available. We have found excellent deals in furniture, sporting goods, tools, and clothing. This is in addition to their excellent variety of food items. We buy most of our meat at Costco. The only area in which we have not been terribly impressed was in fruits and vegetables. It is not bad, but not anything special. We are also not impressed with the food court though prices are very affordable. The Kirkland signature products are almost universally excellent. We have bought their food which is top shelf. Vitamins, personal care products, clothing, paper products, and cleaning supplies are of high quality and good value. We have bought eyeglasses which have saved us hundreds of dollars. The return policy is extraordinary exceeding any business I have used. Though we have not returned many items, when we have the refund was made promptly and without quarrel. Costco is, in our opinion, the greatest shopping experience in Australia and certainly the most interesting. The Ipswich store is on par with the other Costco stores in Australia and because of its location will continue to be our "go to" store.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Is what it is
Been member 6 month now
You have to buy I’m bulk but why not your saving a lot and you don’t run out at home
All these people winging about undercooked chicken
Would you rather the falling apart chicken that’s so over cooked from most supermarkets
If it’s a little pink it’s fine and cooked perfectly
It’s nice to try some American products to some are just great some are not
I live alone and still buy bulk the things I use
I go every month always will

Aggressive staff at Ipswich fuel station
Teela is a very aggressive Ipswich Costco staff at their fuel station. She was not around to help when spill happened, but in time to come around loudly accusing customers who used and returned the towel from spill station stealing, while there is no sign saying customer can not touch the towels when they experiencing a fuel spill! Costco certainly need to train their staff on how to show basic respect without bias!

The staff are so rude
I would like to report one of your workers. On Saturday 7th September 12 noon ish, while checking out, my 2 year old son touched the receipt machine. My husband immediately told my son to not touch the machine. The operator, your employee, Dillon said to my son “I’ll cut your finger off!”. Dillon then paused realising what he had said and apologised. I don’t think this is appropriate behaviour or language for an employee of Costco to direct towards a 2 year old child. I would like a representative of your store to contact me via phone as soon as possible to discuss the matter further and provide me with feedback regarding your actions to rectify this behaviour in your staff. Kind regards, Melissa 0417979545

Could be great but too much friction in too many ways
After you make a purchase you have a long wait to get out as there are lines of people pushing and jumping in front of each other to get their receipt checked off. The registers seem well manned and managed I dont know why they need this extra check exiting. Last weekend I spent 10mins waiting at the registers to finally go to pay. After that I waited another 10mins in the line to get out and be checked and there was a lot of pushing in front of each other and awkward moments. Really ruined the shopping experience so much that I will only go th...Read more
ere now on off peak times which means I cant go there when I want. Today my wife and I were busy working and we needed to get a few things we couldnt get on the weekend due avoiding the peak time rushes. So we told our son to grab our card and get what we needed. He was stopped at the front and our card was confiscated. So this means we can now only shop there when my wife and I have the time to go shopping. So now we cant have a good experience at peak times and can only shop there when my wife and I are free. These points of friction are increasing to the stage that the initial great experience and referring to many of my friends has now changed to I prefer going to Coles and Woolies and am telling friends and family to do the same. Shame could be such a better experience.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Where going to give you food poisoning
Well off to shop at Costco again thought I’d try and get one of there cheap chickens again they are big but it really puts me off when I get home and start to cut it up and it’s not cooked again it’s red raw around the bone and breast flesh still red and raw .
This is the 3rd time I’ve purchased these and 2 out 3 times there not cooked .
There cooking staff should be BBQ for this lack of skill to cook a chicken.

Ideal for those who understood costco policy
I felt compelled to put my 2 cents share on here after reading some bad reviews about Costco.
Firstly, $60 membership. Costco has clear policy... don’t do it if you don’t see the advantage of bulk buying. If you cannot afford to get a membership card or less likely to visit Costco, then don’t become a member.
Second, poor customer service are everywhere in Australia! Go to Bunnings for example.
Third, I hope for Costco to add more products like Clear and Free for sensitive skin (laundry).
Fourth, Costco fuel ofcourse will be long queue a...Read more
s its cheap. If you don’t want to wait for refund or change of your fuel, go to non Costco petrol station and pay more! I think Costco gives our local grocery a good competition because we are being ripped off well and truly!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

What a waste of time and money
Really bad and humiliated customer experience. Have to stay in a queue for 50 min to get membership plastic card. And then stay in another queue to check my trolley before exit.
It was not at all cheap. Mostly everything was bulk and not practical.
I will not be renewing my membership once it expires.

Great Place to Shop
The Service provided by the Staff is exceptional. The product range is very very transient and there is a regular turnover of range.
The BBQ Chicken is the best value I have found. Their Take Home Pizza is fantastic.

Poor Customer Service
With their new store opening in Bundamba some 22 kms from my place I thought I'd go and check out their products and prices. I was advised that I had to join up before I could do this at a cost of $60. This I did on line some 3 weeks prior to their store opening. One week after opening I decided to go an collect my card and do some shopping. I took with me my confirmation email receipt for the $60. After waiting in line for 45 minutes I got to the admissions counter where after much discussion I was advised that they had no record of my joining...Read more
. The fact that I showed them the email receipt, carried no weight at all and I was told I would have to pay another $60 to continue into their store. This I declined and was then told to"take it up with Head Office" when I got home. Several emails and phone calls and some days later, Costco advised me that they would process a refund to my credit card. To date the credit has not appeared. Extremely poor Customer Service by the Bundamba staff who not interested in helping me despite the official receipt. Not much better from H O either.Similar opinion? Update: One of the Top Shopping Experiences in Australia
I reviewed Costco seven years ago, but now, I thought it time for an update. First, I am amazed at the negative reviews. We have been in five of the warehouses in Australia and go to Ipswich at least once a month and North Lakes before Ipswich opened. Before that we shopped in Sydney. We have made dozens and dozens of trips to Costco through the years and saved thousands of dollars purchasing high quality products, often not available elsewhere.
Many reviewers have spoken of poor customer service, but never in over seven years as members h...Read more
as a single Costco employee been rude to my wife or me. I will admit that there are not many customer service representatives about the store and you should not expect the same level of expertise in specific areas like electronics that you could find to a store dedicated this this type of product. This is a warehouse store and if you are familiar with the concept, this is exactly what should be expected. On big ticket items do your homework before purchasing. If you need more help than that, then buy somewhere else. I also do not understand the negativity about returns. We have returned several items over the years without a single problem. Yes, you might have to wait in line; usually less than five minutes, but you do anywhere. In our last return we had a car battery fail before the warranty had expired. We purchased another locally since we needed a battery immediately. Costco refunded the entire cost of the battery purchase. No receipt -- no problem, your items are recorded with your Costco card. Don't like the quality, find an item was flawed, or just decided you didn't need the item, your purchase price will be refunded. Of course it takes a few days for the money to be returned. That is the function of the banking system and not Costco. No every single item is not cheaper every time and for food items you will need to buy in bulk. We vacuum pack meats into smaller packages and put them in the freezer. Overall most items are cheaper and Kirkland products are especially good values and of high quality. Yes, you must pay a membership, that is largely why most items are cheaper most of the time. And yes, your membership cannot be shared with friends and relatives who don't live with you. Complete terms and conditions are clearly stated on the website and at the warehouse.1 comment

Quite amazing to me that anyone can find Costco overpriced. Yes, you can buy specials at the supermarkets for less money, but for everyday prices I believe Costco to be about 30% less dear. Besides,... Read more
they have ranges unavailable anywhere else in Australia and the quality of their Kirkland products is of the highest caliber. Maybe it I only purchased products already available at existing stores in Australia I would be disappointed too. With an ever changing number of items there is always something interesting to see (and maybe purchase.) A great number of people must agree with me because they are incredibly busy all the time. I live a good distance from the store so am not able to go weekly or even monthly. I more than save my membership fee each and every time I enter the store. Perhaps Costco isn't for everyone. It will only suit those who are able to buy in bulk and who desire to purchase from a vast range of quality products, many available nowhere else in the country, all at significant savings.
