Epping Costco Warehouse Manager "John" very rude and unhelpful !!!
Warehouse manager "John" very rude and unhelpful. I waited in line outside just like everyone else for 1hr but realised after i got in that i forgot my credit card in my car and asked a staff member at the entrance if i could go back to the car to get my wallet without having to wait again in the long cues outside but was denied, then when I said it was an honest mistake and should be given some discretion, the staff member at the entrance called the warehouse manager "John" who threatened to cancel my membership. I will be reporting this to AC...Read more
CC and Costco head office. This so called manager has no professionalism and has an ego treating customers like peasants in these tough times because nobody's reporting him. He needs to get a reality check and see what is happening around the world. John, I hope you start to appreciate the fact that you still have a job and don't have to wait outside the centrelink office for days like many other thousands of unemployed people...Similar opinion? New store great location
The new store is greatly appreciated as it is central for all in the north. I appreciate that it is the same size store as the rest and same great value.

Costco is great for what it is!
I’m not sure about a lot of the negative reviews?! If you’re prepared going into the warehouse, you should be right. My wife and I went to the Epping warehouse today and the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful! I see a lot of complaints about the negatives buying in bulk, but that’s their main thing which is common knowledge so why go there in the first place? Also people complaining about lack of customer service (not that my wife or I experienced anything negative). The reason Costco can offer savings on quite a few products is be...Read more
cause they save on wages having less staff and also buying in bulk/wholesale prices from certain businesses on certain product lines and that’s where you can save money. My advice is before you go, go in knowing what products you use and the the Coles or Woolworths price is and compare. You’ll definitely be able to save money on some things. There are also a few things that are more expensive. We knew this before today from reading reviews or talking to friends and we walked in and like I said, the staff we met were great and we saved money on three or four things. That’s it, I got nothing negative to say really apart from that bigger families will get more from a membership than say a couple or individual, although those that have pets can save heaps too.

Feels good to be in America
I visited a costco for the first time this month. Great Organic beef burgers. Hot dog with drinks for $2.
Hugh isles with just tones of crap. Meat costs decent and large servings of old classics.
Snacking away on a bag of 1.35kg of Reese buttercups. Loving life.

Good for large families, still hard on wallet
I tried the new Cost co at Epping, Vic.
First point: As everyone knows, Costco is about size. But here is the deal. Big Size = Big initial cost
Per unit cost may come down, agreed!!
But you must spend A LOT straight up. Budgets can go haywire in one trip to Costco. Here is how that happens.
Example: A family of 4 has a budget of $300 a week on groceries (I know its on the upper side). If they stick to local grocer /Aldi / Woolies / Coles, they usually are ok.
If they go to costco, they will spend the whole amount, but get no where near...Read more

Product format works and doesnt
If you are a small family or a couple or a Individual, its not worth paying for the membership. Unless you use it for cheaper fuel (which is better then normal fuels), cheap roast chickens. Does it work out to pay that money each year? each case is different.
The produces is usually better grade then Coles and Woolworths but you do pay more for it generally.
The large size products is just not good for small families. And if you think about the pricing how much cheaper is it then buying a small size in Coles or Woolworths.

oring that large product in your cupboard for months, cause its just too big. Money sitting in the cupboard and the product quality is degrading because its been opened, so the shelf like is reduced due to oxidation. Spacing in your storage is also important to smaller homes too, normal homes isnt so important. Best way to shop is to buy what you need and to last a few weeks max in your storage. Having extremely large items that last months in your cupboard is a negative thing, not a good thing.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
