Not so sure about it!
It does NOT run my 2.2 KW Heron AC. I am using unleaded 91 octane fuel. Would it make any difference if I would use 98 octane premium?
Cheers

Hi Norbert. No
Thanks Mick. Any suggestions?
Cheers and merry Xmas

Hi Norbert, apologies for the blunt reply, struggled to type on this forum with my phone.
I don't think higher octane will make much difference. My Cromtech will run my sons split system AC in his Jayco expanda. I believe that is a heron 2.2. Also runs father in laws Jayco split system. Not sure why yours doesn't. Maybe Crommelins can help.
Regards
Mick

When I fill my crometech 2500i, Petrol goes into air filter and floods won’t start until I dry it all out! This now happens almost every time I fill it. Help anyone?

I dare say one of the check valves is not working properly and allowing fuel to flow when it is not supposed to... Unless it is a bowl type carburettor in which case your needle and seat which shuts the fuel off when the bowl is full is not sealing and flooding, and also flowing back into the air filter, needs a carby kit and/or a good clean out.

Absolutely rookie here - most of this stuff goes over my head. Will it run a fridge/freezer and charge two iPhones? I'm not even sure how long you have to keep a fridge/freezer connected to ensure the contents stay cool... Just going away for a night or two, and wanting to keep some bottled water, milk and some sandwiches cool.

Will it run a roof mounted air con on my van?

Can't answer that without knowing the size of your van. Mine is 20ft and it has no trouble. If yours is 20ft or less it should be OK. If larger then then the a/c may draw more kw and you would need larger.
Ps My aircon is 2.8 kw
Size of van would only indicate size of AC. Knowing the actual running current of the AC would be more helpful.
Start up is considerably higher demand than running, up to 10 or 12 times to get it running.

I have a 1500w 240v single phase electric motor powering a desalination unit on my boat. I have tried a friends Honda EU 2000 but when under part load shuts down. Welcome your advice on the right generator. Run time when using is 1hour. Thanks Paul.

Paul, best ask a dealer
Start up requirement for a motor that size will be quite high, even though the motor is 1500w you may need a very much larger generator than 2kva to cope!
A reputable dealer should be able to accurately size the generator you will need.

David Michael Dickinson i have just purchased a van with the air command cormorant and wonder if you found an answer to your question. The dealer tells me a 2400w yamaha will run it even though its 2.8 kw so will the cromtech?

I dont know, ask to test a unit.
OK purchased the Cromtech Outback this afternoon and tried it out on the van whilst still at the dealers. Worked fine and powered the 2.8kw a/c without difficulty, also very light and and quiet. Its 20kgs compared to the yamahas 32kgs. I'm a happy camper.
Glad you got things sorted!
will it run a air command cormorant air con on my van?

Depends on the load of your ac. Best to ask the manufacturer.
Hi David
Sorry but I am not familiar with the a/c unit you ask about, my best suggestion is to phone Shaun or one of his excellent staff at mygenerator on 1300400122 & give them the a/c details, they will be able answer your question I am certain.
