Very, very noisy
Whilst this machine does produce a quality product, the 30 minutes it takes requires that, unless you buy some industrial strength ear-plugs, the machine be in a totally different part of the house (and we had to move ours 2 rooms away to carry on a conversation) . I "traded up" from an ancient Phillips machine made 30 years ago, and that was silent in comparison. Surely, in this day and age Cuisinart could have done much, much better on the silencing aspect.
Quality outcome.

Works a treat - just be patient and follow the instructions
A new purchase for our household this summer. Very keen to getting it going once it arrived, but should have followed the instructions closer. 12 hours in the freezer is not the same as the 24 it recommends. To date we've had 2 batches of ice cream and both have been fantastic. It's not a money saver by any means (ingredients cost well more to make ice cream than to buy a punnet), but good to know what's going in. Looking forward to making the next batch now!!
Easy to set up & clean
It's quite noisy

Good machine, sometimes when using thicker recipes the ice cream will stick to the bowl and will be chucky when u take it off which also can be difficult, but in all myself and the family love coming up with all different types of ice-creams, would recommend to anyone over the cheaper brands
easy to use, nice looking
The bowl takes up a alot of space in the frezzer and a bit noisey

Love it
It is the best investment for fur pleasure I have ever made, It make the ice cream so quickly we start eating before it finishes the process. The ice cream recipe book comes with is the best for it but still you can make your own flavour too base on the basic recipe.
It is quick and easy, hassle free ice cream in no time
It is a little bit noisy

Ice Cream? Great Stuff
Our Cuisinart ICE Cream Maker is great. It does everything it promises. Easy to use, easy to clean. No problems at all thus far. Yes it is a bit noisy, but hey? Not so much as a mixer.
.. And yes, - the secret is to get the bowl really deep frozen. Just wish I had a spare bowl.
We could get seriously overweight with all this yummy ice cream, sorbet and frozen Yoghurt. I have to get serious with the low fat options...
The recipes are great, - but I feel the importer should have gone to a little trouble to re-write the ingredients in "Australian" units.
"Foreign" units of measure in the recipe ingredients detracts ever so slightly.

Very happy with this ice-cream maker
I've only had this ice-cream maker for a couple of weeks but I can see that I'm going to use it a lot! It's half the price of the ones with their own compressor yet works a treat. The freezer bowl has to be in the freezer for at least 12 hours but I just leave it in the freezer after cleaning so that it's ready anytime I want to use it.
2 litre capacity means it makes a decent amount of ice-cream for my large family. The consistency of the ice-cream is great. Easy to clean - just 3 parts which wash up easily in warm, soapy water. Ice-cream only takes 15-25 minutes depending on recipe.
It's a bit noisy. I sometimes put it in a bedroom and close the door and go back to check it regularly so the noise doesn't bother us.

Hi. Does anyone have a problem with the bowl not freezing down? We have had 4 good years but now the bowl will not freeze even at -25C.
I haven't had any problems but I've only had mine for 1 year. Are you sure your freezer is cold enough? When I put mine in the freezer I put it at the very back to make sure it's really cold.

Great fun
This is a nice machine. I wouldn't say it's brilliant but it performs exactly as described and is not expensive. I mean, what else could an ice cream maker have?! Comes with a basic recipe book which could be expanded (very few recipes but adequate to get started). Good value for the price. Fully automatic? You turn it on for 25 minutes. Is that fully automatic?!
Nice brushed stainless look an easy to clean
Noisy. This is just poor design. Even when you stripout the bowl and lid this machine has an irritating grinding noise that gets worse when the plastic lid is mounted. Everything about the materials of the base and lid amplify the base noise.

Knocks my old Gelateria for a six!
From the get-go, this machine performed as I expect an ice cream maker should. Simple operation delivering a consistently good result every time.
Keeping the bowl in the freezer is no big deal, and in under half an hours churning, even in the hot tropics, I get a firm mix at the end, ready to eat. A couple of hours in the freezer takes it a little further.
Yes, it's noisy, but it is a small machine with a big job to do...stick it in the laundry as others have suggested if it bothers you.
Top marks for this little beauty...I wouldn't bother w...Read more

Quick and easy sweetness for a snack!
This machine makes a little noise, but you soon get used to it. You can make ice-cream, frozen yoghurt and sorbet, making it very versatile for the whole family. Simple to use, great recipes included, very easy to clean and store.
Makes amazing ice-cream, yoghurt and sorbet, you can add different ingredients to make up your own, and then just store in the freezer!
Even the kids can do it!

Good
Very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone who loves ice cream and will get through a fair amount quickly-ie those with kids!
This is a great looking ice cream maker. I bought it as a birthday present to myself! I have used it regularly since making a variety of flavours for everyone. It is very easy to use, and good value for money. All the ice creams that I have made have been delicious and I have saved alot of money compared to buying premium ice cream at the shops.
It is rather noisy when churning! Also the bowl does take 12 hours t...Read more

Good
A great, good looking and sturdy product which is easy to use and clean. There are others on the market which do the same thing, but none look as good. Whilst some mixers now have icecream making bowls available for them, the special paddle in this equipment ensures good aeration and superb frozen desserts.
Being a family of icecream tragics, we decided to invest in an icecream maker this year - and what a good buy this was. It makes the most terrific icecream without all those added flavourings and preservatives that are found in the commercia...Read more

Worth every cent!
I bought this for my husband for Xmas as he loves ice cream and has wanted one for ages. At first it wasn't churning up to a sloppy mixture, but we set the freezer to a little colder and presto - beautiful tasty gelati and ice cream! Tastes great and is very easy to make. It is noisy but no more than the washing machine, dishwasher ect. We can make tasty low fat treats for the kids or all go out and make creamy ice cream that beats anything you buy at the supermarket! I would recommend to family and friends.
Inexpensive, quick and easy.
Noisy but we dont find it to be a problem but some might.

Does the job perfectly well
This is the first ice cream maker I have ever owned and am wondering why I didn't get one sooner. Homemade ice cream is really easy to make and tastes SO much better than even good quality store bought ice cream. The machine is VERY noisy which is annoying but as it's not an appliance that is used every day this can be overlooked to some degree. There surely must be a way to make it quieter however.
Inexpensive, easy to clean

Do we need to buy any specific transformer for this ice cream machine to convert the 220v to 110v to suit the Indian power supply? I've got the exact ice cream machine as a gift from the US.
We use converter 220 to 110volts but unfortunately machine stops after approx. 10 minutes. I think due to motor overheating.. Please
Suggest me what power supply use.

Marilyn'Marnie' Q.asked
Hi there!
About 6 months ago, I purchased online a Cuisinart ICE-30 icecream machine.
Now, I have just removed the plastic wrapping but there does not seem to be an instruction/recipe book.
(Oops! Did I throw it away with the box when it was delivered? )
I've tried clicking a few instruction buttons but they are not what I want.
So . . .
1. Can you please please please help? by giving me a link for the ASSEMBLY/instructions and recipes.
2. Can I buy another freezer bowl -- I want one being chilled while we're eating the prepared icecream
from the first.
Thanks very much :) Marnie Q
