Old fashioned, good quality service
Cycle Science bike shop has been in the eastern suburb of Melbourne, Mitcham, for close to 20 years. If you do not mind a pretty worn out shop, you will find enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff who will go out of their way to assist you with your individual problems and needs. The workshop enjoys a solid reputation for providing reliable and reasonably priced service. This shop stocks the popular Specialized and Cannondale bikes as well as some funny looking recumbents and folding bikes. What you see on display is by and large superseded stock...Read more
which is not altogether bad as you can get some excellent deals. It goes without saying that you can get the latest offerings too. One of the positive things is that they vehemently encourage you to take the bike you are dreaming about buying, for a test ride. I understand that the staff are active cyclists who are either racing bicycles or used to be in the Australian peloton. For that reason they would not sell you a bike just to make a sale. They will ensure that you are getting a machine which suits you and fulfills your needs. A not exactly cheap bike fit is also available. The team is headed by the likeable owner Peter Holloway who is known for giving a chance to young people including refugees, whom he trains in the art of bike mechanics. He does not hesitate to employ geriatrics either. In that case he has to put up with their loss of hearing, but on the other hand he is rewarded by their accumulated wisbom and experience. So, if you are a bike lover, visit this shop. You will not be disappointed. I give one star to the appearance and the ambiance of the shop and five stars to the workshop and the staff.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
