Works but way overpriced
Cytapoint really does work on my Staffy. There's something in my garden that makes him itch like mad, and the Cytapoint stops it. But it only lasts 4 weeks so it's absolute extortion charging the price that they do. Really unfair that people who care for their dogs are taken advantage of like that.

I have used several times. Yes, at the beginning it does last approximately sixty days, but as time goes by it last less and less time. Went back to using the chewable tables. A short convenience and costly. It works, but you will have injections more than you would like.

My miniature pinscher of 1year and 6 months got a cytopoint shot 10 days ago.It saddens me that vets and zoetis just want to make money. What about our dog kids??I noticed the tip of his ear hairs falling out and he still itches sometimes I doubt I will use your product named cytopoint again.Long term this cannot and I say it again cannot be safe for your dog child!!

My 5 year old dog has suffered from severe dermatitis caused by allergies since he was a puppy. I have tried everything from steroid creams, Apoquel, high omega 3 diet, probiotics, natural remedies - you name it, I’ve done it. Nothing worked. He was always itching and prone to yeast infections. Recently my vet suggested cytopoint. I noticed a difference within hours of his injection. He has now been itch (and dermatitis) free for six weeks. He has only had one injection so far and will be due for another one soon. I can’t recommend it enough. The photos with inflammation were taken the day of his first shot and the other photos were taken 6 weeks later. I also bath him with Malaseb shampoo once a week.

Worked first
Frenchie had tried diet modification, allergen rinsing, and every topical application under the sun but to no avail. Vet suggested cytopoint. First shot worked within the day to stop aggravated belly rubbing, armpit/back of foreleg scratching and nose rubbing/foot chewing. But unfortunately, red bumps started to show again by 2 weeks. I ran a course of steroids for 10 more days, and got a second cytopoint soon after. Second one doesn't seem to be working as well (but the symptoms are milder overall so maybe just the contrast not as great). We will continue for now. Injection alone aud177.
Update; 3rd injection, red bumps again within 3 days... I think we will need to look for an alternative unfortunately
Good for seasonal allergies
Our dog started having spring allergies that were quite bad in 2022. The traditional/regular vet wanted to put her on steroids and Apoquel. I resisted. We found an integrative vet who told us about Cytopoint. We started getting two shots every spring between March and May. Works well. I am not into lots of drugs but this seemed like the mildest, best thing.
Very effective but expensive
My American Staffordshire Terrier suffers from allergies all year round as well as Anaphylactic Shock.
He constantly licks his paws, butt and groin and gets recurring ear/toe infections. I've tried everything to no avail, then my vet suggested I try Cytopoint.
I noticed a huge improvement the same day. I was a bit worried giving it to him with his Anaphylaxis but he didn't exhibit any side effects and it kept him itch-free for a glorious 8 weeks. It was like owning a different dog.
My only complaint is the cost. He is 30KG and my vet charges $199.

My dog had a Cytopoint injection in mid 2022.
The vet told me "no side effects". The next day my dog didn't move from his bed till lunchtime he was so lethargic (I have since researched Cytopoint and this is a potential documented side effect).
Over the next few weeks he became wobbly on his feet, lost his appetite and was just going down hill. He had received no other drugs, or changes to his routine.
He had many tests and the vet hospital couldn't find a cause. After around 6 week's he very slowly started to pick up. This would have been

If a vet ever tells you there are no side effects to a medication this simply isn't true. All medications, whether animal or human, have potential side effects. I will never use this drug again. My condolences to the person who lost their dog after a Cytopoint injection.Changed my dog' life
This shot changed my dog's life and all of us humans feel better too. He is like a new dog!

The “BEST”
Have a 25 pound dog. He is very active, loves being outside. His skin allergies are horrible and anyone else who deals with this knows how bad it is to watch. Adopted him 5 years ago and after the summer came when it got very hot out and plenty of pollen floating around he flared up severely. Took him to a veterinarian clinic that was a very busy place and the doctor that treated him suggested a “new” drug at the time called cytopoint. Said it had only been out for 6 months but it worked much better then a antihistamine and would last long

Highly recommend for anyone whose dog has the biting, scratching, licking, hair removing, etc….Killed my dog
My Boxer got the Cytopoint injection
Within 2 days he lost the use of his left leg, it did come back. His health steadily went downhill.
2 weeks after injection we were at vet with him staggering and slobbering profusely, all indicators were he was ok, that night I was at Emergency vet with him, he had peed the bed, and could barely walk, again all indicators were he was ok IE blood tests and scans.
He was diagnosed with a possible inner ear infection.
2 days later he took his last steps, that began a week of basically hospice care. All the while thinking it was vertigo.
3 weeks to the day after he got the injection he passed in his sleep.
I strongly believe Cytopoint took his life.
game changer !

Changed our Dogs Life, and Ours!
Our Labradoodle suffered terribly from allergies that caused constant licking and scratching that would always lead to infection. We tried everything and even had him desensitised! Nothing worked until Cytopoint came along. It has been an absolute miracle worker. He doesn’t need it every 4 weeks, we can stretch it out at times but I always know when it’s time for another shot. I would highly recommend it. It’s made my life easier too not having to worry about him all the time.

Took my dog to greencross vets for allergies with my dog. She ended up on antibiotics, ear drops and steroids. Went back for check up on ear infection and vet told me that cytopoint would be a great benefit for her chronic allergy licking. Told vet I would get injection after steroids finished so I could tell straight away if it worked. Vet took my dog out the back to check her ear infection and then gave her cytopoint injection without my permission then proceeded to bill me $130 for it. I Was furious. Anyway my dog started licking and scratching about 3 weeks later. Booked her back in for cytopoint injection on vets advice for 2nd time. injection. Did not do a thing. Cytopoint is rubbish. Now working on natural therapies.

My dog is 12 years old. A mix Yorkie/Bichon frisé who has allergies and is on hypoallergenic food and also use a special shampoo sold at the vet. My dog continues to lose her hair because of scratching and licking. I even hear her licking during the night. Two weeks ago she had her first injection of Cytopoint and since then, she had considerable hearing loss and seem a bit lost. (Maybe due to her loss of hearing).
Has anyone experienced their dog having hearing loss following the first Cytopoint injection?
