Service beyond expectation
We had a narrow block with some unique constraints. Bill worked with us from the start to custom design a two story house and patiently accommodated numerous changes and ideas coming at different times my wife and I. All this before we even paid a design fee or signed a contract. Throughout the whole build from beginning to end we felt reassured that everything was anticipated and in control. Builders Who Get It
As some background to this review, we purchased a block of land in a western suburbs subdivision that has some extremely rigid design guidelines. After purchasing the block we started working with another builder who claimed to understand these guidelines, initially appearing to understand our design concepts & promised the world. entified were ones that had or were building houses in our subdivision. It was during this process we met Bill a designer from Danmar Homes. From our first meeting we clicked, firstly as he listened & secondly he challenged us on what we were trying to achieve. This process took a couple of months, but what Bill was able to produce for us was nothing short of amazing. He worked the design parameters we had deal with hard, to ensure the end product complied. When plans were submitted to planning, whilst there were some small changes that had to be made, we essentially had a clear run. More importantly, whilst we were going through this approval process there was continual communication. Once we had our various approvals in place, we started the Pre-Start Process with an amazing lady by the name of Angela, who was our client liaison officer through the build to handover. The customer service & communication we were provided was nothing short of exceptional. We would shoot of emails to her late at night & have responses early the following day. There were even instances where we sent emails to her on the weekend & she responded the same day. Pre-start was a very simple process with Danmar, Angela provided some great advice & once again wasn't afraid to question some of our ideas to ensure we were going to be happy at the end. Once we got on site the communication remained excellent. Angela was a great conduit between us & our supervisor, Paul. The build moved smoothly, & yes their were some hiccups along the way, but they got sorted. The majority of the trades did an excellent job & if we weren't happy or had concerns at any stage Angela & Paul sorted these in a timely manner. Towards the end of the build we were blown away by Paul's concern for the fitout we were getting done. An example of this was when he saw the tiles being laid in our ensuite. There was a mosaic feature, which he felt may not meet our expectations. He made the tiler stop straight away & would not let him start until we were on site to agree that what was going to be done met our expectations. It did & the tiling was started. At handover when we met Paul to run through things he was doing some minor cleaning that had been missed. This was his baby he was handing over! One of the big things we really appreciated with Danmar was their ability to accommodate us using some of our own trades (air conditioning, security/it). Also we supplied some of our own fittings, that once again was not an issue. It was documented, an email was provided prior to the items were required on site & they were installed to our satisfaction.

We were introduced to Danmar Homes for some of our own recent unit development projects we have just completed.
From the initial consultation of obtaining building approval on a challenging site, to the prestart, to getting to site, the process was remarkable.
Danmar homes have surpassed any builder that i have dealt with.
The build time of 5 months on the 1st site absolutely surprised me, although in 2016 they surprised me again on the 2nd site only taking a build time of 4 and half months.

A rewarding hassle free build!!
As a nervous solo first home buyer, I wasn’t sure of the building process, how I would choose a Builder, or even how long it would take before I was in my first home... The Office staff were great, particularly Angela (My prestart consultant) and an efficient site team all helped to ease the “first home buyer” anxieties I occasionally experienced. Sure, there were a few hiccups along the way, but they were fixed as promised by my Site Supervisor John. All in all, any queries or issues were dealt with promptly and my home was even completed before the scheduled date! I’m so glad that my first building experience was with such an approachable company, the team at Danmar went above and beyond to ensure that my dreams were made a reality! Danmar Homes was my saviour, as my first builder went into liquidation. Danmar took on my build from roof stage. I have so much gratitude for this company and their excellent staff. I was taken through prestart with an amazing lady who knew her stuff and treated me like a real person. She became my liaison officer and took me under her care for the rest of the building process. sues that need to be remedied. Nothing was too much trouble for the awesome team at Danmar. They are a family business with a fantastic team from the receptionist to the manager who care about their clients, it's not just about the money, they really want to make sure you are happy with what they do. Any emails or phone calls are returned within an hour or two. I remember waiting two to three weeks to have my emails replied. They really did support me through the most stressful time where my home in the end took nearly three years to complete, that meant paying mortgage and rent and wasted thousands of dollars. The end result was my dream home built with high end finishes and quality through the awesome tradesman employed by Danmar. My site manager was hands on and over-saw everything each day. He was approachable and contactable through my wonderful liaison officer within a few hours. I was so lucky to have this builder after all the problems prior, I would recommend Danmar due to their care, compassion, commitment, patients, quality and amazing customer care. Danmar were brilliant!
We designed the home ourselves and our build was a tad different to the rest. The house we built was a Special Project, wherein the house was to meet the needs and requirements of a wheelchair. We requested no ramps, wide everything and the house not to look like it is built for a wheelchair. Timing of things were stressful, but the weather didn't help much. If I never hear the words "weather depending" again, I will be a happy lady !! Great Home - Fantastic Price - All in just over 7 Months!
I planned to do major renovations to my existing home. I obtained a licence as an owner builder for these renovations. I was recommmended to Danmar Homes to check my costings of these plans. Danmar Homes confrimed what we expected ie the cost to renovate was exorbitant and the stress factor would be immense. We looked at the price of building a new home with Danmar Homes, including demolition, and it wasn't much more than our renovation projections.

All the tradespeople were reliable and highly skilled. The whole process was extremeley stress free. We were very pleased with them overall.They were so helpful and understanding when our project manager left us ( although they do have their own too). and helped us alot as we had to muddle through on our own.Not a tiptop super spec home but a nice,nicely finished home, we had 3 quotes on the design and Danmar came out the best.
Always got back to us, if the relevent person wasn't htere to take our call. Wide range of designs to choose from. We had our own plans. We found that nothing was ever too much for them ad they were always polite and helpful.
Had to ring them a few times to get things finished at the end - but nothing drastic and it was soon sorted out.

Patience is required
The saleman is fantastic - knowlegable, trustworthy and geat advise given - and essentially, he was the selling point for us going with Danmar Homes. Our experience started quite good: good saleman, decent pricing, value with the standard inclusions. Prestart was easy. But our experence is slowing dropping from a 4.5 star to a 3 star rating. This is maily due the time taken during constuction and some quality of the tradies used.

Terrible
if i had my time again, i would have built the home myself - given the trades used thus far and the time taken, i am sure i would have exceeded the work done to date.
hard to get any pros apart from the pre award stage. They were good in initial quote, but once signed up, it was a different story.
They were extremely poor in communicating to us the works, never gave us details of the supervisor in charge, slow in arranging follow trades, changed details of the signeg and approved plans without consultation

Great Value for Money
I'm currently on my second build with Danmar and really happy with the results on both developments, there have been some minor delays but I think they were mainly due to council & the trades people. All the staff were really help full & great to deal with. [name removed] the Sales Rep was really nice & helped us perfect our the design at the start which got us into council quicker.
New products look great & saved us heaps

Quality at a great price!
A friend of mine put me onto Danmar Homes and from my experience with other main stream builders its one of frustration and of lower quality build at a higher price, but with Danmar I found a builder with high specs and good quality at a lower price.
No builds are ever going to be smooth sailing, there are always ups and downs along the way, but i was happy my home was finished on time without any suprise extras at final payment.
All in all after being in my new Danmar built home now for 6 months I am very satisied with the outcome and finish and getting ready to build a investment property with them and would recomend them to anyone building a Family home or investment property.

Excellent design at extremely competitive price!
We were referred to Danmar by a mutual friend/client who had built several properties with them with high reviews and results.
Their ability to design what we wanted was exceptional, including all our requirements plus others we hadnt thought of. Danmar designed our home to a level that exceeded our expectations.

in building a new home we would be met with challenges and issues along the way but these were always rectified in a timely manner by their office staff. I would make a special mention for their receptionist who always greeted our calls in a friendly, personal manner. Being a family company we were able to contact the owners and discuss any issues with them and by them making themselves available to us always made us feel reassured that any issues were being dealt with care and understanding, something that isnt usually available with bigger builders.Similar opinion?
