Credit card and ID scan needed
Ordered Philips air fryer, cheaper than MYER by $20, places ordered and a week later, email requesting My credit card scan and ID ( since when ) . Anyway, I did emailed back with what they asked for .
Stupid I was, got an email back again. My ordered can not be fulfilled.
I ordered from MYER now . David Jones now matched the price with Myer . Still selling the same item with raised price .
Didn’t mind paying the same price . But not like this way.
Never again shop with them.

Excellent Service Under Difficult Circumstances (Covid-19)
Yes I got the item I ordered a bit later than usual, but I'm not that stupid and ignorant to not realise that all of a sudden all these retailers in Australia have had a massive surge in demand due to the very sudden restrictions from the Covid-19 pandemic. David Jones and Australia Post are doing the best they can under very difficult and unusual circumstances. These are Australian organisations that deserve our support, rather than uneducated criticism. The item that I received was in perfect condition. Thank you David Jones!

Order arrived fast and correct
I ordered from David Jones online on March 15, and it arrived at my house less than 48 hours later on the morning of March 17. The item was correct and accurate to the depiction on the website.
I shop from DJ's a few times a year and have never had a problem.

Terrible customer service I’ll never shop with DJs again!!
Purchased a Bosch dishwasher online in early January 2020. Two weeks later had not heard from David Jones to arrange delivery so contacted them to be told they didn’t have the item in stock, and it would arrive at end of February, I agreed to wait but late February came and went, I called countless time and spent hours on hold when I did manage to get through they told me someone from the relevant team would call me within 2 working days with an update, they never did. gh I called almost daily and waited on hold for hours, one day 5 hours in total over 3 calls just on hold. Finally got through late one afternoon after 2 hours on hold and they agreed to cancel my order and I would receive an email confirmation by cob the next day confirming the cancellation and my refund, it never happened. A week later and still nothing, I spent an further 2 hours on hold and finally after 4 months of placing my initial order managed to get it cancelled and my $1000 refunded, and I’m sure in largely part only because I broke down in tears of anger and frustration!! Never again will I buy from David Jones. On the plus side they did send me an e-gift card to apologise, still not enough to erase the bad taste left in my mouth. Why do they sell products they don’t even have in stock??!! Surely they should at least notify the customer they don’t currently have the product instead of taking our money!Similar opinion? Stock was so old the plastic was disintegrating
I purchased some make up online. Part of my order was a Clarins face and body self tanning bronzer. I have been using this product for years. When the product arrived the plastic covering on the bottle was so old that it disintegrated in my hands and the Clarins logo on the bottle came off with it. of the product they had sent me. The response? Crickets. Nothing. In frustration I went to the store. The shop assistants were pleasant but like I pointed out to them, online shopping is not an opportunity to dust off out of date stock from 1976 to send to unwitting customers. I got a refund after they had no stock on hand and I have now taken my business elsewhere. I got the same item at the same price with free delivery, and will now buy all of my make up elsewhere. I generally spend about $500 every three months in a bulk buy, so I guess David Jones don’t care enough about my business or my loyalty to ensure I return. A bit arrogant of them given the state of department stores in Australia and their decline pre virus. Speaking if the virus, not much in point in ordering online if it ends up in a visit to the store. On another note, which I am sure many women can relate to, I cannot count the amount of times I have shopped for make up in store and there is no one to serve me, and when I finally find someone, they are not familiar with the brands I am buying. And then, to further add to my frustration there is usually no stock of many of the items. Their fault? No. Cost cutting leads to no staff and no products. It makes it look like people are not buying in store when in fact people would shop in store if staff and stock were available. I will be sad to see department stores disappear in Australia, but the only people to blame are management. Ridiculous mini versions of stores are pointless. Minimal staffing is pointless. Perhaps management should work the floor and the phones and then maybe Australians will get the sort of department stores that we’re crying out for. Purchased 2 pairs of shoes online after trying them on previously in store before the covid outbreak,
Using the online store It only lets you purchase in AU sizing which is different to US so i used the size chart on the online store to select the correct size in US in this case 11AU = 12US - both shoes turned up in size 11us

VERY SLOW DELIVERY
Ordered items from David Jones online.
Items shipped (allegedly) two days after order but it is now over two weeks and still no delivery.
David Jones customer service do not respond to any enquiry.
At a time when retail is struggling this is a reminder as to why David Jones should be avoided.

Disgusting service in this Covid climate
David Jones accounts seem to be working fine- they took my money for my goods, but only delivered 1 out of 3 items
Same as other reviewers- hours spent on the phone and no reply to repeated emails
I do not want to give them 1 star

Awful Online Service
I ordered two dresses 3 weeks ago, the first one arrived 5 days after. Great. Where is the second one???? I wish I read the reviews beforehand!!! My e-mails have not been acknowledged and there is no one answering the phone except for 'mechanical Liz' and after which, you will be waiting for hours with an irritable noise/music to no avail. David Jones, where is your Customer Service?? You will loose them all if you do not wake up! You lost me already.

Woeful Customer Service
Don’t bother trying to contact David Jones customer service for help with anything, including following up a return or trying to phone a store for help. You will get Liz the virtual assistant who is hopeless and then be put on hold for 1-2 hours with terrible hold music. Centrelink can do better than this. What has happened to this once awesome institution? So disappointing.

Lack of customer service breathtaking
Waited for online chat for 45 mins and was abruptly cut off. No response either to sep submitted enquiry. Unnaceptable and inexcusable. Wont be returning and will be happy to share my apalling experience whenever the opportunity arrises. One star is too much.

Terrible customer service
I ordered a Lancome serum set online in March. DJ took my payment, then no confirmation email, no delivery detail, of course, no Lancome. I emailed them, no reply. I called them twice, waiting in line for 15 mins each and then got hung up, twice.
I tried online chat 4 or 5 times. I waited at position 40-ish to 2-ish and somehow I got cut offline.

Never again
Placed an order with djs online. An hour after placing my order it was cancelled by david jones for reasons unknown. A complete waste of my time, if a product is not in stock update the webpage other companies manage to do it.

Ordered a watch on line. DJ took my payment, then 2 days later cancelled my order stating they are unable to fulfil the order, no reason why. Tried to contact them, first by Online chat three times and that keeps disappearing, both my chat and the link. Then try to call them, 3 times, each time I have been cut off from their end, without talking to anyone, 1st time after 1 hour 10 min, then after 35 min then after 12 min. Makes you wonder if they actually wish to talk to anybody at all. Total time wasted over 2+ hours. This is the second time I have ordered from DJ on line and a disaster each time, never again! should have cut my loses after the first time.

Bad experience
In March I ordered and paid for a chest freezer online. After not receiving any information about when it would be delivered I rang to find out. It was then I was told there was no stock and the estimated date would be two months. When I made the order there was no mention that it was out of stock.
We had to wait weeks for a refund, never again!

Have been on hold for an hour
Ordered two things, one was all good the other apparently out of stock. They say I will get a credit in 3-5 days but that’s unacceptable as it was a gift and need to re-order something else asap. Trying to sort this out so I don’t need to pay shipping twice!! Have been on hold for an hour and still nothing, have emailed them twice, nothing.

Do not order online EVER!!!
I've only ordered from David Jones 5 or 6 times and more than half were a disappointment. The first time I tried to find a special soap in store but it wasn't in stock in multiple stores and they couldn't deliver between stores, so I ordered online. The items were not packaged properly, no box or bubble wrap, just the bare items, and my soap bottles broke in the mail. I had to refuse the package because it was leaking. led again to check. The rep seemed confused that no one had reviewed the order and said it would happen within the week. Another 2 weeks pass, still hear nothing so I call again. Again rep seemed confused so she just decides to issue a refund, which I had to track after over 1.5 months. Second time, order was cancelled within 3 hrs of placing an order because they said they were completely out of stock for my face cream in all stores and online dispatch. My mum works near the city store so she decided to check and the nearby store still had some stock and was able to get it almost straight away. Third time, DJ's was doing a free gift with minimum spend of $100 for a certain brand. The gift had 3 different options, for youth, middle aged and mature skin. I chose the middle age gift but when it arrived, they sent the youth instead, which I have no use for. I know I shouldn't complain because its supposed to be free, but the only reason I bought from DJ's was because of that particular gift, and I still had to pay over $100 for it. When I called about it, I was on hold for over 3 hours and was told I would get a replacement, I just had to send them back the wrong item once I got my original ordered item. 2 weeks later and they email explaining they are out of stock and that I would have to keep the incorrect item, which I still have no use for, or go in store and refund all my items, completely missing the point of an online order. They’re nonsense
I bought online 3 items but there were 2 items are too big and that’s why I returned them but I waited for over months they did not refund for me until I contact them but one problem they just refunded half for me. I tried to contact them but I did not get any reply and refund. I will never purchase from David Jones store anymore.

How do u get any further with a purchase from when u view your bag? There is no payment button or check- out option. I'm just stuck with a bag of stuff but can't purchase it. Am I missing something or not doing something right. I am very tired. ? Oh I can't add the screenshot.

Are you ordering on a mobile device? I sometimes get this when I use my iPad mini. If you turn the screen so it is landscape instead of portrait then you will hopefully see the checkout button. If this doesnt work you may have to call them.

I’ve been trying for hours to speak to the online division.. the phone answers then left on hold for more than 40 minutes.. makes you decide that you don’t want to purchase that desperately... very disappointing considering they are trying to expand with online ordering..
