I ordered a pair of sandals and was sent the wrong size. I was asked to return them and pay the postage back and i asked that they send the correct sizing and refund my cost of returning the shoes. Assured they would. Four emails and three phone calls later now have a refund of the shoes but no refund of the postage and handling and also the cost of returning the incorrectly supplied shoes. Website Error Issue and Customer service
firstly I found there is an issue to browse items online, everytime when I browse a same item for more than 2-3 times or used store availabilty option, there would be a " Error" page shows which not alow me to continue, eventhough I tried to use different browser .

I called my bank and there is no problem at all with my bank, finally they just left with me and said sorry we have no idea about it ; I tired to use diffent methond to place order, they tooked my money and then canceled my order and then no any further refund...... this is so terrible . there online order system is not good at all they said would contact me asap. but until now there is no answer ! Item missing in online order. Still waiting ...Service? None.
I ordered 3 items from DJs online store. The parcel arrived with one item missing.
I rang customer service. Waited 20 mins for phone to be answered. She said it would be looked into. Next day she wanted me to look in the bubble wrap to see if the missing bottle was hiding somewhere in the box. Then she wanted photos of the box and it’s contents. They are still looking into it. No replacement item. No refund. (It was quite an expensive item). Looks as though I won’t have the item in time for the birthday they were for if I get the item at all. They say they want to be “upmarket”. Not with this attitude and lack of PR. I get much better service from Target and Myer. ‘Bye ‘bye DJs. You’ve lost a customer of 50 years.

David Jones repeated "ERROR" website issue
About 2-3 months ago I could not log onto the David Jones website. It continuously had an error message every time I attempted to log on or even view the website. I contacted customer service twice and they managed to fix the problem at their end. Some six weeks later the same problem has happened again.
Customer service told me this time to change my computer settings. I have had no issues with other retailer's websites. As a David Jones American Express cardholder, I guess this is when I just cut the card.

Worst online shopping experience
My order was only delivered a month post order. When it arrived, one of the four items were missing and there was a receipt from a third party (Hermanns) that indicates there’s a refund, but the refund is no where to be seen on my original card of purchase.

Make you pay for an item they don’t have, then make you fight tooth and nail to get your refund for non-existent item!
I wanted a button up shirt in the next size at a Gold Coast DJ store. They didn’t have it, so then looked up what stores did have one (one in Victoria). However, rather than ringing the store, the sales lady suggested I order online and they would check all Aus stores and send it to my home. So we did.
The sales lady ordered my item for me (at the store), made me pay for it ($160) and said if there was any issues, just bring back the receipt and they’d refund my money.

Poor product and service
Boots advertised by popular brand were misrepresented in terms of quality and colour.
Had to pay for return which is against consumer rights but I went along with it as too worried about getting the full refund.
Will never buy another thing from them again!
Always trusted their brand but it’s now rubbish!

Terrible customer service
I have experienced the worst online shopping experience with David Jones. I ordered a dryer 8 days ago no correspondence at all. I had to contact them in regards to my order. Today 8 days later after numerous phone calls I receive a email saying product not available for a month. I can’t complain about the service as there simply isn’t any. David Jones really shouldn’t do online sales.

Month long debacle
Ordered a fan online, click and collect was unavailable, so I decided to to have it delivered.
Parcel got lost by AusPost, and when I notified DJs a little after a week from when I placed my order I was left in the lurch.
The said they’d contact AusPost and give them 3 days to action, it took over a week. When I called up I asked if my order would be honoured once AusPost had declared the package lost, they said “Yes if it is in stock”. still stock, so I think it was plain laziness to not fulfil the order. Their refund email states how long it’ll take for a refund to process for bank debit, credit,Amex. No time is specified for evoucher refunds. Turns out when I called it’s 10 days! By this point it’s been a month since I purchased the product, and I had to wait another 10 days, unbelievable. I could see the fan that I wanted had restocked and was available for click and collect in my local DJs, and all the operator could do was confirm, yep it’s in stock. Awful customer service!
I ordered a dress from the David Jones online store. The dress came with multiple make up/fake tan stains on the front of the dress, and as the dress was white it was quite noticeable. I emailed the David Jones customer service team and did not get a response. I then called the David Jones customer service team and was told that I could return the dress at my own cost, to have a new dress posted out at my own cost (and I had already paid $12 for the original postage). d. The only solution David Jones could offer was for me to pay an extra $36 to receive the dress, likely weeks after ordering, despite them sending me a faulty product. What’s worse the customer service representative was incredibly rude saying ‘that’s just how it is, someone will get back to you by email’ (and couldn’t even give me a rough time frame on how long said email would take). Sent me wrong order then no assistance to sort it out
When my online order arrived two of the four items were incorrect and after numerous mails, attaching images, explaining and following up I was left to my own devices to go to a store and sort it out.
Nightmare to deal with.

Rep was not helpful and condescending
I ordered a smartwatch online Sunday after 5. Wife didn't want it as a gift with the poor reviews on the Kate Spade SW. I called 1800354663 to ask to cancel. I was told that there was nothing they can do as the system does not allow changes. The rep was being condescending as well. I told the rep that she was being that and all she said was it was fine. People wonder why the big retailers are loosing. From my experience its poor service and bad attitudes.

Online store keeps selling items with zero stock
David Jones needs upgrade their inventory systems, 4th time the item I ordered was never in stock. DJ also never refunded my reward points. I gave up after the 2nd email and 3rd phone call.

Wrong item delivered and refusing refund
We bought a $300+ BBQ online from DJ, the item arrived on time but it wasn’t what we ordered. We called DJ and they asked us to post the wrong item back ourselves at the post office and then claim for postage after. What. A. Hassle. i haven’t even mentioned, the wrong item is bulky heavy and almost my height, wouldn’t fit in my car. Anyway, they finally arranged a specific day for them to pick up the wrong item and we made sure we are at home that week to open the door for the courier. Nobody came or called to let us know. So two months after we purchased the BBQ, 300+ dollars less in our pocket and numerous calls and emails later, we still don’t know what’s going on or where the BBQ is. DJ wants to withhold our money until the wrong item is picked up but no one turns up for two months and we don’t know even if someone will turn up in the end. Such convoluted way to follow up the delivery issue, and never did DJ at any stage took the responsibility, it’s been us the customer who’s covering their mistake through our own money, time and effort. Sending CLEARLY faulty stock $295 skirt
Bought an Crawford Mini AJE skirt and as soon as I open my parcel I can see that there is a button missing. Right in the front. The button isn't just for aesthetics, it's also functional in doing the skirt up (no skirt just buttons down the front/middle) I am so disappointed with the obvious lack of care and attention to detail. Have called customer service and been given the most incompetent operator. Have since received an email and after sending in photos, no reply. For a skirt of this price point I am beyond disappointed. (the closest DJ store is an hour from me - but to add to that, none of the stores in Perth have stock of this skirt)

Needs improvements
David Jones's online store really needs an improvement. The frequency of cancelled order is just unacceptable. How can a company at this day and age have such a bad online system? They always apologies for not being able to fulfill orders. But they are not really sorry if they still hasn't fixed the problem after so long!

black friday yay
David Jones online black friday sale was great ! I purchased 6 Faithfull the brand dresses that are normally $180-$199 down to $49 and one Auguste label ($175 down to $49). They were all shipped individually which sucks for me as they all arrive registered mail on different days instead of one big parcel but oh well. What was disappointing was two of the dresses after more then one week of hearing nothing got cancelled as they could not locate the stock. Luckily I bought enough to have for my holiday overseas some new outfits (faithfull the brand is made for travelling as it’s so lightweight). Clothing sales are really good at David Jones and i really like their new reward card system.

Shocking customer service
Shockingly incompetent, careless and rude customer service. Stuffing me around for days about an online TV order and there is no accountability. They promise inquiries and call backs that never happen. No replies to emails. Call-centre staff repeat irrelevant statements in total ignorance of what someone before them promised and when you ask to speak to a senior supervisor they hang up. Never again! No wonder this once great department store is failing. Worse than a Soviet bureaucracy.

Are you ordering on a mobile device? I sometimes get this when I use my iPad mini. If you turn the screen so it is landscape instead of portrait then you will hopefully see the checkout button. If this doesnt work you may have to call them.

I’ve been trying for hours to speak to the online division.. the phone answers then left on hold for more than 40 minutes.. makes you decide that you don’t want to purchase that desperately... very disappointing considering they are trying to expand with online ordering..
