The best heater that I ever had yet!
I bought this heater from Harvey Norman a few months ago and just recently used it. The unit heated up my room in 15-20 mins and it’s continue to heated for more than 8 hours. Even it’s operated through long hours but it’s not overheated like the other heaters. I’m very satisfied with this product due to it’s maintain the temperature that I set for.
Purchased in October 2021 at Harvey Norman for A$300.00.

Timer dissapointment
Have just realised that the timer function is not repeatable and only sets a time delay to turn off or on. Very dissapointed. I already have the dragon 3 heater with manual 24hour timer which heats well so thought that this would be an improvement.
I am not saying that the heater does not work well. I just think that the timer is not functional enough for operating the heater at 2 or 3 times a day only when it is required.
Purchased in April 2021 at Noel Leeming for A$479.00.

Terrible Warranty Service
We bought this heater less than a year ago, and it's meant to be DeLonghi's top of the range oil column heater at over $370. Not even 11 months into use, the heater smells like burning plastic. We've checked around the heater, the fins etc, and there's no sign of obstruction or anything touching the outside. The heater was used to heat our baby girls room during these cold months, and now we have to leave the split air system running throughout the night.
Their service agents advised 5-10 days turn around time for a repair, with no courtesy ...Read more
heater or replacement given. For something less than a year old, and at this price point, I expected better. You have a few or two you could learn from your competitors (Electrolux, Miele, etc, who come out to service their small goods appliances). Update: Delonghi has since replaced the heater but the smell still emits on the highest heat setting. Must be the type of oil they use possibly as it's purely a hot burning oil smell. Revised review to 3, as it was replaced but can only use up to the second level heat setting.

brilliantly done
A Strong, solid heat flow directly focused to the immediate forward area, instantly providing a much noticed change in room temperature. Changing temperature and swivel options are also part of the many reasons why you will undoubtedly enjoy all your winter's to come.More than reasonably priced for a high quality sturdy product.

Average quality
We brought this heater few months back. I will not say it is a bad heater but it is not that great which we expect. I always prefer to go with oil heater but someone this heater is not easy to use. I had to spent few hours to understand all the functions. Heating is fine but found some burning smell when fully heatup.

Indispensable stuff in winter
Purchased two directly before winter 2017 coming up, and I trust Delonghi brand very much. I put one in living room and another in my bedroom. It heats up quickly as it introduced. I do not think I can bear cold indoor winter in Perth without them. When I purchased it I also wait for delivery for over 3 weeks as it was out of stock. I was afraid of I cannot receive them when winter came during waiting period.

Good
The brand is reputable and we have another Delonghi heater that works great! The heater works efficiently and warms up quickly. We bought this from good guys and it came with 7 years warranty. I find this a product of good value for money. Perfect for heating a moderate sized bedroom in winter

Perfect heater for small living room
This heater works really good in our small living and I really like its design. The hot air is flowing evenly in the room and the timer is very easy to setup.
Highly recommend if you have a baby but need to keep an eye on humidity level so the air is not too dry.

Excellent style and heating capacity but electronics may not suit some situations.
The TRD4 2400ET is a solid, well constructed and attractive oil-column heater. The electronic control panel looks very smart, the large heating fins are nicely designed to optimise heat distribution, and most importantly this appliance can generate the perfect amount of heat when needed. Insofar as controlling temperature goes, this is about as good as it gets for a free-standing electric appliance.
Setting adjustments are made easy with intuative controls and a tastefully designed display. Brightness can be adjusted to 3 different intensity...Read more
levels that come in handy when the heater is used in dark situations such as a bedroom. The TRD4 2400ET includes an "Eco" function that automatically chooses the most efficient power settings to reach and maintain the desired temperature. I was impressed at how well this feature worked and appreciated being able to see which power levels the appliance was using (off, low, med, or high) at any one time. It really does save you from having to constantly fiddle with power controls. Cold rooms heat up fairly quickly, but more impressive is the ability of the TRD4 2400ET to maintain a stable temperature once the desired level was reached. The combination of Eco mode and precise (digital) temperature settings prevents the surroundings from overheating or cooling too quickly. Eco mode uses low power to correct small temperature variations. Unfortunately the electronics present several critical downsides that you do not find on the manual models;Similar opinion? I too find the timer function restrictive. It would be perfect for me to have it running in the kitchen for two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening as an example. I have tried to plug a timer into the socket and set the time for on an off that way, did not work. Now I will set it on 19 degrees and have it run all the time, not too happy with that. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have turned mine on 8 times on max high for 3 hours at a time and this unit still smells like melting plastic or paint. The smell supposed to disappear after a couple of hours. What do I do ?

The "Burning In" smell should go away. Its important to turn both the thermostat and power settings to max. Put a half a bucket of water next to it and make sure you have some free flow of air when doing this. Preferabltly open door or window close to the radiator.
Also make sure you have removed all the packaging.
Mine is working fine with no smell at high or low settings. Took just over 2 hours at max to burn off...
Another important note is that if you have a dusty house the dust that settlern on the radiator and in the columns will burn off at high settings. Just use a vacuum cleaner on it to remove the dust every now and then...
