Great little heater
We were looking for a little heater for my partner's son's room and this has been perfect. The timer is great and used a lot to stop the "forgetting" to turn it off.
The heat given out is just right (room is about 3.5-4 m2) and it has not killed our electricity bills this winter.

Good heater
It was a good heater. Not too electricity consuming.
Kept the room warm and did not take too much time to heat up the room. I used it mostly in the bedroom. Although with closed doors and windows i could smell the gas sometimes. So i moved it to the living room.

Average quality
We brought this heater few months back. I will not say it is a bad heater but it is not that great which we expect. I always prefer to go with oil heater but someone this heater is not easy to use. I had to spent few hours to understand all the functions. Heating is fine but found some burning smell when fully heatup.

Not too bad
Just bought this heater and cant fault it so far. Its pretty quick to heat up and it does have a simple menu and easy to use. I did have some smell issues like what some other have mentioned. Not sure if its gonna go away but its not too overpowering.

Still smells after 6 weeks
Despite following the instructions by running it on high for 4 hours on my porch it still smelt, so I repeated the process the next day. 6 weeks later, after using it every day, it still gives off a nasty toxic chemical smell. It is ok if I keep it on the low setting and never turn the thermoset dial above half way. However if it is put on a high setting it stinks. The smell is obviously toxic because it causes my sinuses throughout my face to burn and gives me a headache. It is discusting that they can sell such a poor product. I will never buy a De Longhi product again.
Furthermore, it is dangerous becuase if you don't notices the smell and turn it down (have a blocked nose) then you will be poisoning yourself.

Great heater shame that you cannot run it at the highest temp without a horrible smell coming out of
I bought this heater in April for my daughter after reading some positive reviews.
The heater is very simple to use, which is what i like and heats well apart from one major flaw - you cannot run at it the highest level (setting 3) as it emits a strong smell of burning plastic or paint.
If I run it at medium setting (2) or low setting (1) no problems and no smells.
I have waited till now hoping that wearing the heater in will eventually cause the smell to go away but unfortunately it hasn't.
Until it is fixed I would not recommend this heater to anyone.

Indispensable stuff in winter
Purchased two directly before winter 2017 coming up, and I trust Delonghi brand very much. I put one in living room and another in my bedroom. It heats up quickly as it introduced. I do not think I can bear cold indoor winter in Perth without them. When I purchased it I also wait for delivery for over 3 weeks as it was out of stock. I was afraid of I cannot receive them when winter came during waiting period.

Very pleased
I got this on sale from the Good Guys and I think the price was very reasonable given that it has a 7 year warranty. Yes you can buy a cheaper one but usually with a 1-2 year warranty only. Other than that it's a standard oil column heater, but looks reasonably modern compared to others I've seen. Get the manual version, I don't think there's much reason to bother with the electronic timer version as it's just another thing that could break.

Meets the purpose.
I got this for this winter around January from Good guys and have been using this continuously from there. Mine is bit of bit size bed room and worried whether this will make warm the entire room. But it does & keep it warm for longer time. That is definitely plus when you are looking to optimize your bills. Better choice to buy.

Good heater, maybe too expensive
Typical good oil heater. It works really well. Excels in looks and maybe a bit faster to heat up compared to other oil heaters in my opinion. We bought the manual timer as we thought the electronic one was a bit over the top and way more expensive. I sometimes prioritise looks over function so I was annoyed we weren't getting the electronic one but I don't even pay attention to it a few days into having it at home. It's just a heater and I hardly use the timer. In winter is almost on 24/7 if we stay indoors so no timer necessary. I think we cou...Read more
ld've done ok with a cheaper option as I don't really notice much difference with other brands but to each their own. The 7-year warranty is good but I don't think there will be trouble as it's a good reliable brand.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Worth the price
The price was bit of a concern given my student budget. Definitley happy with the product and its functions. Does the job well, no false marketing here. Heating could be tag bit efficient. Design looks fantastic, blends well with the room unlike other bulky heaters. Does the job, dont hesitate to buy one. All you need to power through the winter

Good
The brand is reputable and we have another Delonghi heater that works great! The heater works efficiently and warms up quickly. We bought this from good guys and it came with 7 years warranty. I find this a product of good value for money. Perfect for heating a moderate sized bedroom in winter

Perfect heater for small living room
This heater works really good in our small living and I really like its design. The hot air is flowing evenly in the room and the timer is very easy to setup.
Highly recommend if you have a baby but need to keep an eye on humidity level so the air is not too dry.

Average, but expensive piece of equipment
It is better than average indeed, but for almost double the price, I am not convinced that it is worth the money. With the same amount of money you could probably get a 12-fin heater from Big W, which is probably more effective in terms of heating up. Heating is above average, however could only heat up a regular room.

Don't buy - leaks oil!
Bought Delonghi TRD42400MT (2400W Dragon 4 Oil Column Heater) one week ago at The Good Guys. Smelt for a few days (despite instruction booklet saying this would only last a couple of hours) and then this morning noticed it started leaking oil all over my floor - had probably leaked a couple of cups of oils before I noticed the smell and saw the oil. Luckily happened when we were home and near the heater.

It gave warmth on a cold night
The first time I used it it seem like it took a long time to heat up the room but after a while I noticed that my room was starting to get warm and a little later too warm so I had to lower the thermostat. But It definitely is nice to have in the room because it is not that noisy.

Great Heater
Great heater and maintains heat very well in a semi large room while evenly distributes it without feeing overly warm.
We tried a couple for my parents sunroom/tv room as we always have a hard time keeping that room warm in the winter (extra windows don't help) but this heater has managed to warm up the space relatively quick and maintain it to a nice temperature.
A friend who is an electrician said the Delonghi heater pulls less energy and electricity than a small blow heater. Don't get me wrong though, if you have it on high 24/7 you will...Read more

I too find the timer function restrictive. It would be perfect for me to have it running in the kitchen for two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening as an example. I have tried to plug a timer into the socket and set the time for on an off that way, did not work. Now I will set it on 19 degrees and have it run all the time, not too happy with that. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
