Some Good, Some Bad !
Had one of these machines and it was a good little unit for the odd expresso, but it always never made a " hot " cup of coffee, even expresso size. It got old ( 12 mths ) and the coffee got colder, so we bought another, same brand, same model, from same on line outlet. Second unit tasted awful and after trying to clean and de scale the unit never even got a cup of coffee from it that I could drink. Supplier didn't want to know of the issue. So in my experience quality of product varies too much. For decent hot coffee's this didn't work for me, for a quick expresso first unit was o.k, second unit a waste of my money.

Alright but milk frothing isn't the best.
We decided to invest in an affordable coffee machine and DeLonghi's Icona Pump Expresso machine sounded like a great option. The colour and design fits well into the kitchen and it's very simple to use. However, the only complaint is that the milk frother doesn't do a decent job. The milk doesn't come out as frothy and smooth as the ones from other machines which is quite dissapointing. The overall coffee doesn't taste terrible but not the best.
It's easy to clean, doesn't take long.

Makes a great coffee
Designed similarly to our last Delonghi, this one has a new look, whilst giving the option of using ESE pods. It really is a no fuss, easy to use & easy to clean machine, allowing non fussy coffee drinkers the opportunity to make their own coffee. For $170 from Costco, I couldn't resist.

Worst investment ever!!
Plastic wand constantly blows while steaming the milk. Danger of steam burns on the face. I have burnt myself a few times.
Decides it hasn't heated up enough half was through extracting a coffee.
Tamp is fixed to machine - which means it's difficult to get necessary pressure
All of this for a very average tasting coffee.

No longer works - warranty has just ended
Okay machine but one month out of warranty and it no longer works. This is expensive for a short lived product. No details found of how to service the product and now looking at the warranty sheet it was only covered for 6 months. I would not have paid $199 for a machine that only lasted 2 years let alone 6 months.

Adequate
I bought this and a grinder as a gift at Christmas. Assessing grinder is a problem - Although I paid for the grinder, I never received it and Delonghi refuses to respond to my requests for assistance.
The machine works ok, although like other models, the holder doesn't dry out properly and quickly. Not as good a machine as the Breville range.

Machine was fine until it hit 2 years and then water leaked everywhere
I would not buy this machine purely because once it is out of warranty period things start to go wrong. Water is now leaking from the machine from the base and the ring above the pull. Do not spend money on this brand. Machine worked okay at first but if you can spend a little more perhaps buy a breville as there seems to be many negative reviews about this same issue.

Basic manual coffee machine, value for money
This coffee machine works well, not too complicated to set it up. I have been using for 2 years, it is still working well except sometimes it leaks coffee from the handle. I bought it at a good price and would say it is value for money for the quality

Short life span.
This machine works great when new. The design could be more user friendly. It is very light, so when you lock the coffee carriage in place you need to hold the coffee machine so you don't push it over.
We are currently in our 2nd machine. The first one stopped working around 4 months old, we sent it back to the good guys and they had it for 1 month then gave it back to us it worked ok then after another month, we took it back as it had stopped working again but this time instead of nothing coming through, it leaked everywhere. They had the ...Read more
machine for 6 weeks then gave us a new one. We have had the new one less than 3 months and it has just died. I bought this for my partner for his morning coffee as my old sunbeam machine that I had for 7 years finally clapped out. I thought it was time to get a more prestigious brand so opted for this model.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Great coffee machine when it works correctly
This is my first manual coffee machine and is cleaned after every use. It is used regularly and usually for two cups each day. Firstly, it started leaking from the spout and the front of the handle after about two months. I have persisted in trying to work out the problem and found that it leaks before I even put the handle into the machine. The excess water seems to be dripping at a steady rate. Today it is being returned as I am sick of having excess water dripping into the cup and also on the bench top and into drip tray. Secondly, I have al...Read more
so found that on occasions the frother stops working and cannot build enough pressure to froth the milk. This may be because of the loss of pressure due to the water leaking. On a positive note this machine is easy to use, easy to clean and looks good. However, I would not recommend this machine.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

We make 2 coffees a day is thoroughly cleaned every time after use
We are on our 2nd machine after 18 months we had to send our first one off to a repairer who kept it for 4 months, after several complaints to DeLonghi they got in touch with the service mob and decided to give us a new machine and now the 2nd machine has has just leaked hot water all over the bench I would say it's terminal I would say they have a life span of six to 8 months we bought a DeLonghi espresso thinking they were at trusted brand how wrong was I, by the way when working it did make a good coffee . :(

Lost water pressure after very light use over 1.5 months
I used this coffee machine on weekends only over a 1.5 month period, and it's already lost water pressure. I'm now on hold with Myer (After the 20 minutes on hold, I will admit that the customer service rep was super nice and helpful) trying to sort a warranty return. When it worked (ah, those glorious 5 weeks! How I miss them) it was actually a solid little unit, good water pressure, did what I asked it to, but it's pretty ridiculous that it died so quickly.

It does what it supposed to do
Very easy to use, easy to clean, as an advice to make this machine works better you should get the coffee beans and ground it yourself pre-ground coffee ruins the machine performance to get the perfect espresso, the froth works perfect so moccachinos, cappuchinos, lattes, macchiatos, mochas, hot chocolate and the flat white are awesome very pleased with the machine.

I hate it
I hate mine I started using mine had it replaced in the first 6 months as the spout had a crack in it. Now 18 months later the spout is leaking water filling up the tray at least 3 times before I get 1 cup of coffee to this I burn my hand every time. The coffee is just barely dripping out from the coffee part. I HATE IT. Never again will I buy a delonghi.

Short Lived.
I have had 2 of these machines. Both lasted just over 12 months. Outside warranty of course. Both started leaking & spurting water from around the outlet.
Amazing coffe in the beginning however. But I'll be replacing it with something that will last longer next time. This is not a cheap machine for 1 coffee a day to only last a little over 12 months.

Great while it lasted
Great crema. Great taste.
The frothing stem blasts off on occasion, even when it's been given a good shove before use. Exciting, but a shade frustrating.
Very easy to use, very easy to clean.
Sadly it has now disintegrated after about 4 years. Can't turn off the water/steam stem and it has taken to leaking through the coffee filter.

Fantastic And Easy
The finish is fabulous. I made a wood block to put under the milk jug so I could other tasks while the milk steams up to temp. Right on about a standard cup not fitting under coffee spout. I fixed that be removing the chrome draining rack permanently and have had no problems since. After couple of months steam spout had steam pouring out of its top and milk wouldn't heat. Email delonghi and they immediately went me an envelope of O rings. Easy to install, fixed the problem and I have had a lot of trouble free wonderful Lattes since. 100s of them. It's a beauty!

Leaks water from frother
The machine makes good coffee but after few months it drips water from the spout and you have to put a cup under it. Took it back to Argos thinking it was faulty and the second one done exactly the same. Waste of money as Delonghi pass you onto a repairer that you have to pay customer service about as good as the machine.

My coffee machine is leaking water from the underside of the unit. Where the silver filter is and all around that area? It was working perfectly up until today.

Do you mean from the drip tray that sits under the brew area.
Or from the back near the water tank. Sometimes if that's not pushed down the whole way water will come out of the water tank instead of flowing through the machine check the water tank is connected properly also check the drip tray isn't too full and overflowing through the back of the drip tray.
Please let me know how you go. thank you
I think I used to fine a grind and it’s blown something
