Fantastic coffee machine!
Purchased this machine in August last year and use it daily. The ease in which in makes a quality cup of coffee amazes me. It take some time to tweak the settings and levels to your liking but once done it produces a perfect cup of coffee in 60 seconds. I love the self cleaning that the machine uses, pretty auto cleaning after each milk base coffee and also cleaning automatically when turning off. Ensure you are using top quality beans as it really brings out the flavour and aroma. Money well spent!

Am now second most loved after the Eletta.
I bought this coffee machine for my partner for Christmas and it has been adored since day one, and I fear is now more loved than me. This is the model with the automatic and manual frother if you have any concerns about reviews regarding tepid coffee. Have never bothered with manual as automatic is very hot. You can customise coffee with minimal steps. The initial outlay was $1100 however it makes good economic sense as over $30 was being spent on pods and takeaway coffees per week and that cost is now about $5 per week for beans and milk. Over a year it will pay itself off not to mention the impact on the environment of less unrecyclable coffee cups and pods. Like a cafe only better. We are very happy.

A great coffee machine
I purchased the machine back in 2016. Ever since we use it every day. We love the coffee it makes. It always tastes delicious no matter what choice you go. You may also personalise the settings. The only little complaint I have is the actual temperature of the coffee it makes - it's never really hot, although good enough to drink right away. Recommended.

Use everyday
Very easy to use ...self cleaning
A little loud when grinding the beans others would be lost without it .
Clear display ...large bottoms fool proof
Can make two coffees at once . Temperature is good have to play around with settings but once it's right it's perfect temperature. Easy to clean with step by step on screen guide to take you through process

Love waking up to my Eletta
Just purchased myself the DeLonghi Eletta Coffee Machine. The reason I chose this particular machine is that I have a friend with the same machine who drinks a lot of coffee & it produced over 10,000 cups of coffee over the last 4 years with no issues at all. Absolutely loving it!!

Great for a fully automatic machine
Moving from a manual coffee machine to the Eletta you definitely miss the stronger coffees but the DeLonghi still tastes great and can make stronger cups with certain settings. I end up with 4 macchiato's to make a good strong mug of coffee so it does take a it longer which kind of defeats the purpose of an automatic but it's still quicker overall and less of a mess. Just feels like the grind settings could be a bit finer to get that stronger brew.
We did get a good price on it so value for money has been great. It's fairly easy to clean although it seems to ask for a descale fairly quick which seems a bit pointless if the filter is being used anyway.
If you don't mind a weaker coffee then this one touch machine is perfect.

Great coffee, reliable machine
Upgraded to this from a manual espresso machine, so glad for it. Well worth the expense. Makes a variety of coffee’s in no time with consistantly good results.
Cleaning is easy with plently of video’s online to help with descaling.
Would prefer to be able to purchase the plastic tube in the milk dispenser seperately though as this is the hardest thing to keep clean and aged much too quickly. Overall though will stick with this brand when I next upgrade.

Great coffee - but NOT HOT !!!
This machine is really easy to program and use. It makes a really smooth coffee and I was happy with the taste BUT I like a latte and the milk temp gets no hotter than 50 degrees...I pent a lot of time with DeLonghi on the phone trying to get it sorted out and each person I spoke to was really helpful. Nothing worked to get the milk hotter and I was really disappointed. I returned the machine.

makes the best cup of coffee
This machine is great, we bought it straight from the delonghi website and saved a fortune. It makes a great cup of real coffee from beans to cup. I like be able to use different programmes for different cuppas. Only issue, is constantly having to fill the water tank up and a lot of descaling.

I don't have to go out for coffee anymore
Super easy to use, keep clean and the coffee tastes incredible. I prefer to make my own than buy it now. Love the various settings that allows me to remember exactly how I like it so it replicates each time. Also handy when entertaining as it can adapt for a range of other beverages. The hot chocolate settings get a workout too.

Looks magnificent but average coffee and functionality
The coffee with the Eletta was really weak and it didn't taste good no matter what beans we put in there. We had to tweak the settings to finally get the taste I am happy with.
It has an eye-catching sleek and modern design but functionality is average. It cleans itself everytime it turns itself on and off ... And warms the machine using the water. By the time you make coffee there is no water left for it. I constantly have to refill the water tank. But it's just not a matter of pouring water in the tank, I have to slide it out carry to the s...Read more

Lukewarm coffee at best
The coffee is just not hot enough. I have to heat the milk in the microwave first which isn’t good enough for a machine of this price. I would never had purchased it had I known. (And yes, I do have it on the hottest setting) So, if you dont mind lukewarm coffee it is a great machine and easy to use and clean.

Does great coffee
So many coffee options. Ample settings to choose from.
Got it from Good Guys for about $1200 for Father's Day last year - which also included a nice promotion package.
You do need to adjust the grind settings a bit based on what coffee beans you use and this can slightly affect flow if you then choose between short to extra long coffee. So prepare to use up some beans before you optimise these settings.
Overall very happy with the product.

Yes it makes hot coffee
I have owned a Delonghi Magnifica for several years and was very wary of going to a fully automatic machine because I had heard that they did not make the coffee hot enough. Well the Delonghi Eletta makes coffee hot enough for my partner and I not to be able to swig it straight away so I am estatic. It is so much easier than fiddling around to do the milk myself. BUT I did have to change all the default settings to ensure that the machine made us our coffee just the way we like it and to fill our favourite big coffee mugs. It is as easy as fol...Read more
lowing the manual to increase the water temperature delivered and the adjust the milk and coffee ratios and saving them to the machines memory. Then hey presto you can have a cappuccino, latte or flat white at the press of a button to fill your favourite cup every time. Yes it does take at least 5 coffees being made by the machine before the flavour is delicious but the manual tells you that too. I used those 5 coffees to adjust the milk and coffee ratios to fit my cups. The default settings make really small coffees. This machine enables us to fulfill my coffee addiction with ease.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Fantastic
I purchased this coffee maker last year and found it to make the best coffee ever. It is simple to use with many features allowing that perfect cup of coffee. The cleaning instructions are clear to read and understand with the actual cleaning process taking just a few minutes. Highly recommend.

A real must- I don't want to drink instant coffee anymore
I am so happy with this machine. At first I thought it may take me a little while to learn how it all works but it is simple to use and not hard to clean. The brochure explained the descaling procedure making it all user friendly. Lots of steam for perfect cappuccino froth
and you can set the temperature of your coffee which is another winner. I don't want to drink instant coffee any more !!

Worse one yet
I have had a few Delonghi's. The materials used on this model are the cheapest I have ever seen. I've had it 3/4weeks, coffee not very good, Im still trying to improve with the grind. Milk frother is cheap and nasty and I wont be surprised if it doesn't last long as you have to remove the head to clean. I will get my Prima Donna repaired again hopefully, and keep this as a spare. Compared to the other machines I'd say had this is the worst model. Latte not very hot, but none of them ever are so not a massive issue regards that.

Can't live without it!
I have had this machine for about one-two years now. It is amazing. Easy one touch button gives you coffee to die for. However, one secret to it is the coffee beans. You need to have the good coffee beans to have good tasting coffee. Highly recommended. Great brand and coffee. They offer good warranty and constant cash back offers through partners such as Harvey Norman.

Questions & Answers
Alyson W.asked
Hi we just bought this machine but the coffee just drips out I.e doesn't flow. Is this normal?
1 answer
Cheryl B.DeLonghi
Hi Alyson, perhaps check what grind and aroma setting you have the machine on if the grind setting is too low a number the grounds will be too fine stopping the water from pouring through the coffee and if the aroma setting is on max as well as the coffee being too fine it will stop the coffee from pouring smoothly.
The grind control is the numbered dial inside the bean container.
Hope this helps let me know how you go.

Hi I am having issues with the buttons on my machine.
Unless I keep my finger on the button for the entire process it stops - even if it has already started pouring coffee into my cup.
I have lost countless amounts of ground coffee and it is getting frustrating!
Any ideas on what may be causing this issue?
