Useful in warmer weather

We bought this portable air con last summer when our bub was born. I personally dont have any serious problems with it, because we bought it for the purpose of cooling the room she was sleeping in. I find the noise louder than necessary, but it's white noise so it helps the baby sleep. Works well. Does the job.

Does a good job but difficult to configure and run

The Dimplex DC10RC keeps my medium-size bedroom nice and cool. Technically it works great. However, configuring it for heat, cool and dehumidify is extremely confusing. You have to plug this, attach a hose (not included) reverse the exhaust, etc. and all this from a very very very unhelpful users manual that barely gets you through the operation. There isn't even a guide to deciphering the panel icons. I recommend this unit only if you are reasonably handy. If not, it is very easy to suddenly wake up and find your room covered in three inches of water. Is the dehumidifier selected? I don't know, could be. It would certainly help if the function panel was explained.

This reads like a paid review. I was going to seriously consider buying this until I read this review. It screams advertisement copy.

Also, are you in outback South Australia or in the NT?

DC15RCBW (4.4kW)

After reading the manual book, I still don't understand how to use the heater on DC15RCBW.
If I have to attach a drain hose then the hose should have been included.

What size drain hose do you need for the heating function. The diameter not the length.
