parcel left at front door
I cannot fault delivery of item in 2 days but leaving goods worth $600 at the front door and not even pressing the doorbell to let me know it was there is stupid. I waited home especially so that the item was not vulnerable to be stolen. Lucky I saw it through the glass.

Happy with service
They picked up my parcel Wednesday afternoon in Sydney, and it was at my doorstep 8am Thursday down the coast.
Very quick service. The box was in perfect condition, and the delivery guy friendly

Awful Company
So told they were delivering yesterday 30 April. Large item so wanted to check it was delivered correctly. Didn't turn up. Rang twice. Told it wasn't their problem as they pass it on to another company and they don't know who is now delivering the item or when - rang the company who I ordered from and they cant hep either. Do not use this company. Check with people you order from and if they do use this company - don't use them either. Absolutely shocking service, appalling customer care and given the stress folk are under yu dont need to be looking to this company to deliver stuff.

There's a reason this company has a poor rating
When logging in re-delivery asked to be contacted. Apparently they lost the number and left a note saying to choose an option (re-deliver, local pick up etc). In actual fact they sent the package 1000 km back to the sender in another state! I rang them twice and they said it's not their problem, that the sender is their customer not me, and the supervisor refused to talk to me when the other worker asked them to! You get what you pay for and I suggest you avoid this company.

3 deliveries with them all late.
3 deliveries with them all late over last 5 months. Have had to chase them up each time when the scheduled had passed. Twice had to chase the chase up, Poor customer service, Wish my vendor would give a choice of freight providers.

Dont expect delivery any time soon
My parcel was first scanned on 13th April, it's been scanned 5 times at the same facility and it's now the 22nd April and I still dont have my parcel. After a phone call 2 days ago, and being promised a return call, I've just received a text to say it will be here today. No apology, no explanation, nothing. Parcel was going from Port Melbourne to Doreen, what's usually a 40 min drive. I wont ever be using them for my business

Better Communication skills needed
Very poor service. Un cooperative driver. They have very poor communication skills which is very bad for this industry. Their drivers need to be trained better in problem solving very easy situations. My parcel has still not been delivered after 14 days.

Just left my parcel at the post box
Instead of ring my doorbell and leave at my front door, they left my delivery outside near the street under the post box. No notification. Had I not checked tracking, would never have known to go look for it.

Extremely unprofessional.
Getting tires delivered. Heard the delivery van outside. I watched as they wrote the note, left it, and went. Are you kidding me? Not even a knock? Wow. My partner needs the tires to fix his car and go to work -- how many other people are being effed over by these w*nkers. Absolutely unprofessional.

Left a card despite me being home..
at home by the front door during the time they were meant to deliver, found a card without ever having someone knock. Now trying to arrange delivery with the sender and unable to locate my order on their 'sorrywemissedyou' address.

My box was opened.
This box was dumped by my front garden by the driver of the forwarding agent for Direct Freight Express. The driver sped off. No markings on his truck. The box had been opened. I am expecting two items. Only one item in the box. No one can tell me if the second item was in the box. No paperwork. Direct Service say not their problem as the job was sent to a forwarding agent.

Pathetic service
Sought to have a package which was undeliverable redirected to another address. You can't ring the local depot (Albury) and the consignment note number on the slip you can't get up on their site but mysteriously when you ring them they find it. Told would be delivered next day, now 2 days on so ring again, told they would get straight back to me and 2 hours later they ring to say another days wait. Excuse was a new driver, no apology or concern.

Product pickup card was delivered to wrong house, no assistance or apology offered - just said we will get it delivered to your correct adress when possible. Avoid at all costs.

We received a message it was coming. I was sitting at front door. Didn’t even hear anyone call out. Gate wasn’t locked. Not sure why but now we have to wait until Monday and I’m not sure whether the delivery person is going to do the exact same thing

Delivered ahead of time with no hassles
I ordered products from a retailer who uses this company for deliveries so had no choice in courier, on receiving tracking info I looked them up and was a bit concerned by the reviews, however mine turned out to be a really positive experience.
Received a notification, really easy process to do authority to leave and confirmation given.
Was meant to be delivered by 25th. Status updated when item was on board, stating delivery on the 24th by 2pm.
Arrived at 1.55, friendly delivery driver.
One of the most hassle free courier experiences I have had.

Do not trust Direct Freight Express with your parcel
On 4 March I received an email with a tracking number, advising my blind was on its way from Carrum Downs. I checked the tracking number to find that it had been dispatched on 3 March and was due to be delivered on 4 March. On 5 March I contacted Direct Freight Express chasing my parcel. uld clarify the time of delivery. Direct Freight Express emailed that it would be delivered on 12 March. It did not arrive. I checked the freight Tracking to find that it had supposedly been DELIVERED in Warragul on 11 March. I live on Raymond Island, 200 kilometres from Warragul. My blind had allegedly travelled 80 kilometres from Carrum Downs to Warragul in 8 days. Certainly not Express and given the use of contractors and inability to track, NOT Direct. On 17 March, I contacted Direct Freight Express for a final time after promises that it would be delivered on the 13th and 14th were not kept. I was told the blind had been delivered on Sunday 15 March. It had not. I then said that if I did not receive the blind by the end of today I would declare it stolen and take appropriate action. When I then asked for the fourth time in two weeks for the name and contact details of the freight forwarder, it was finally provided. (funny that). A quick call to Gippsland Freight and the blind was located in Paynesville with a retailer who had held it since 12 March,waiting for a van big enough to take it the final 3km. I picked it up myself. ( 2 weeks after its promised delivery). I would like to acknowledge the assistance of Blinds on Line customer service who supported me all the way. Appalling Customer Service
Had a terrible experience with both the delivery driver and customer service team from this company. After package was delivered, I received notification of an extra delivery charge due to "not offering help" despite asking the unfriendly driver if he required assistance. Protocols were not communicated and staff did not want to discuss the matter.

Poor communication and service
Consignment consisted of 2 identical pieces. Stayed home for delivery only 1 arrived. Phoned company treated rudely by person called Sally who wouldn’t even afford us a phone call for delivery time so we have to stay home again tomorrow for the 2nd box to arrive. Disgusting service and communication.

Tall guy from adelaide went above and beyond
The nice young driver from direct freight express adelaide was an absolute pleasure to get to know. Not only did he take all 12 very heavy boxes round the back for me but he did it with a smile. People like this really are one of a kind.
Ps. it was 40 degrees and still was positive and friendly.

They did the same thing to me, only to find out they decided to return the package back interstate to the sender without calling me! Then the customer service, upon inability to explain why the card said one thing and they did another, told me I wasn’t their customer and that I needed to speak to the sender! Luckily the sender resent the package via another courier which went flawless. Direct Freight Express is a company with seemingly little pride in their service and very poor customer service. You want to support an Aussie company but not at this level of compromise. You’d better ring them immediately before they decide to ship your package somewhere. Note also the poor rating.
Direct Freight are absolutely useless - They told me that I would receive an item and I stayed in (given Covid) but they failed to appear. They take pride in being so absolutely useless - they say they have fantastic customer service - they do not. They hide behind saying it was the customers fault. They cant tell you who they are using to deliver - because they use a lot of local freight forwarding companies. I now ask companies if they use this lot - and if they do I shop elsewhere. They dont answer the phones, they dont reply, they dont help - the only blessing is that they dont refer to themselves being an Australia COmpany. That would be a steo too far. Do Not Use this company - ever.
