purchase new phone
I brought my phone to your Tech dept who advised me unfortunately I needed a new phone. The reason I returned to your store the next day to purchase a new phone was the empathy and the customer service I received from Aaron in your Tech team.
A young man who displays great customer service skills and stepped above my expectations by assisting me further with the technology( Im from an older generation and not techology savvy)
Well done Domayne by having Aaron on your staff.

Sold wrong firmness mattress, sales person clearly wasn’t listening or made a computer error.
Purchased a medium expensive mattress (or so I thought) in January and thought my back was aching due to getting used to a medium after always having firms, switched for my partners sake. Turns out the salesperson wasn’t listening or entered wrong code and I’ve been sleeping on a plush mattress. Warning.. check your receipt and make sure what you asked for us what you get as this is now a $1600 spare bed that’s never used and has caused me 2 months of discomfort. Extremely angry and realise I didn’t check receipt code so have no leg to stand on.

Doesn’t even deserve 1 star! Pathetic customer service!
Normally my partner and I have never had issues at Domayne, but recently we encountered some very poor customer service from the weekend staff in the furniture department. My partner and I have just received our first home buyers grant, and we were coming into the store to buy lounges, outdoor furniture, fridges, Tv, and all house hold appliances within the $10K limit. When we walked into the furniture display area, we were ignored. Not one sales representative asked us if we needed help, not one bothered to acknowledge us. My partner and I are...Read more
dressed very well and aren’t afraid to show privilege in the way we dress. We are young, in our early twenties. We have just bought our first home, and when we heard the comment the staff made about us we were very upset. When we were finally recognised, a younger staff member asked if we needed help, I replied “not at the moment thank you, I’ll let you know when I do, thank you”. As my partner and I walked off, the older staff member approached the younger staff member and said “they aren’t serious buyers, you’ll understand, just look at the ages, you can tell”. This comment instantly irritated me. We left the store and we took our $10K with us, putting it to Nick Scali instead. Very disappointing as we were serious, and we were ready to buy the wonderful furniture. The only good thing about this shop is the furniture the only issue is, you can’t get it because you have to deal with the poor customer service just to get to it. Such a shame!Similar opinion? Delivery service
The Delivery driver refused to bring my bed into the house until he had the money and I asked for the mattress to be turned over which he did not do and he left a mat half under the bed which was too heavy to pull out. He was arrogant, most unpleasant and I would never use their Service again. The Manager of the Bedding Dept was very helpful and pleasant and it was spoilt by the delivery people they use.

Poor Form
I have been a customer of Domayne at Kotara NSW for over 40 years and have had nothing but praise for the service we have received from mainly the electrical and bedding departments. Unfortunately that all turned sour just recently when my family purchased stuff from the furniture department. Without going into too much detail the staff in that department were bordering on arrogant and were very condescending when assistance was asked for. The thing that has turned from shopping at Domayne again is that after sending an inquiring email to their complaints department they never had the decency to reply. Bad form Domayne and another lost customer who is spreading the word about the lack of care.

Lied and conveniently omitted terms point of sale Domayne Computers
Had the money to purchase, wife convinced by sales scam artist at DOMAYNE if damaged would be fixed (computers for school) taking out flexirent was sold to us as a purchase and insurance deal. We were told that we could keep paying and upgrade at the end of term, nothing else not a thing about paying out or having to return the equipment. At the end after paying $7,536 we are told we need to keep paying and we do not own the computers. Absolutely lied to by DOMAYNE. Called Flexirent and sorted ended up paying $700 over the RENT term not LOAN as sold to us. I bet they are offered incentives to sign you up to Flexirent. #Banking royal commission

Dangerously misleading sales conduct.
Do your research and do not trust a word the salesperson says. Unfortunately I did, was totally screwed, cost me 2 grand extra for no benefit. The products are good, the sales friendly and charming, but the persuasive misinformation is devastating. Will never shop there again.

Not impressed at all
The furniture department is great, and may be the only reason if I am going back. The Electronics Department salesmen are stupid. They do not know about the products that are for sale. They are dishonest and will try to sell a product that maximises their profit rather than the one that suits the consumer need. They use high pressure sales techniques to sell accessories, after care products, and extended warranties, that either you do not need or do not make a meaningful difference to consumer. They also drift away from you like mosquitos hit b...Read more

Customer service Domayne Kotara
Domayne Kotara have been wonderful over the past two years since I moved back to Newcastle. They allowed me to change an aircon (free delivery) when I had bought the wrong size, they organised a home visit when I bought a tall boy and didn't realise unpacking wasn't included in the delivery price (Damian from Bedding). A lovely salesperson put the feet on my Samsung TV not once but also on a second smaller Samsung TV. They are very commited to customer service and I like that they keep a log of my purchases as I show loyalty and they provide ...Read more
superior customer service in return. Even the staff at Broadmeadow are amazing, very skilled at putting goods into vehicles and virtually no wait time to get served. I am always treated with respect at Domayne from the salesperson through to the staff on the register. I have also found they are approachable when comparing sale prices from other stores. People should not feel timid in this regard price matching is common nowadays. I recommend that anyone start a relationship with Domayne Kotara.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Rude Customer Service
Tried to return an unopened pendant light today. I was spoken to and treated very unfairly in the store. No respect for Australian consumer laws. Disgusting.. Anyone would if thought I was shoplifting or abusing staff. Not asking for a refund or store credit.
In all my years of shopping I've never been spoken to in this manner. The female cashier had no tact or customer service skills and neither did the franchise manager.

Disappointed with Domayne!!!
Don't trust Domayne employees when it comes to using 'FlexiRent' service. They are very pushy and I believe they lair to you, jump on the 'FlexiRent' review site to see all the customers that have been lair to by Domayne employees and now locked into contacts with 'FlexiRent'. It's very sad that Domayne support the FlexiRent business knowing that it's giant rip-off.
I know strongly encourage Domayne to STOP supporting the 'FlexiRent service!!

GREAT SERVICE AND SUPPORT
When we need something electrical or whatever, we go to Harvey Norman (who own Domayne, I believe), Bin Lee and others but always end up back at Domayne. They give fantastic service and close attention to your needs, we are always extremely well looked after and leave after making our purchase, very content. GOOD ON YOU DOMAYNE, keep it up

Exceptional customer service
My husband and I purchased a Sony TV today at Domayne Kotara branch. I must thank Desi for his exceptional service he was so polite and professional it's a credit to him, you don't often see that type of service anymore and it's great to see he values his customers. Desi was so patient and knew all the products in extensive detail which we were very impressed with. Thanks Desi helping us choose the best TV that suited our needs.

Domayne Kotara - Competitive prices, efficient staff, friendly effective warranty assistance
* In store purchases
* Competitive pricing on items I have bought and price matching. (I compared the usual department stores)
* Efficient warranty assistance, not only focused on new sales
Our Panasonic washing machine broke after one year and Domayne quickly gave me the repairers number and emailed me receipt/proof of purchase.
To be honest this shop is doing what retailers should.. participating in price negotiation, efficiently processing transactions and quickly supporting product issues. However I've had that many issues with these essential requirements at other places I'll recommend Domayne Kotara and return there first as I'm busy, I generally know what I want and what price is reasonable for a cash hassle free sale.

Terrible
We bought a Mac book pro for my wife's graphic design business, no worries there all good. However old mate talked her into the product care plan as he said just bring it back if there are any issues and we will fix it up straight away. Now there is a fault with the laptop we need to send it away for assessment which can take 14 business days and then they will replace it. This isn't a tv that we can live without this is a core tool for her business. Why didn't they tell us that up front?? Now we will need to buy a new laptop to keep working until this gets repaired. Just tell the truth salesmen.

Product Care Plan
Whilst the Computers at DOMAYNE are OK the Product Care Plan is NOT worth the $150 for Three Years cover
Whilst DOMAYNE are good at taking your money This is money for jam to DOMAYNE as the cover covers very little as any problems with the computer and you have to pay to get it fixed. I would NEVER shop at DOMAYNE again in my life. For the review rating they should have a NO STARS or better still MINUS STARS

Dining set
Had a very pleasant experience shopping at Domayne. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. I got the dining set I wanted at a good price. The set arrived earlier than expected (shorter wait than told) and all was in good condition. I am a happy customer.

Always buy our electricals at Domayne Kotara
Over the years our family had bought numerous electrical goods from Domayne Kotara including washing machine, clothes dryer, several computers (laptops and desk tops) and printers (we are a large family) coffee maker, microwave, stove and oven, TVs, etc. Always a pleasure to deal with staff who go out of their way to ensure they fully explain things, organise delivery, offer discounts and fabulous follow-up service if things go wrong as they occasionally do with computers. I recommend this store to anyone wanting good service, excellent product knowledge and very competitive prices and making you "feel good"about relatively expensive purchases. Congratulations to all staff - very well done!
