Very Happy with the CFX 50
This has been one of the best camping items I've ever bought. I originally was looking at a 3 way fridge (Dometic 38l) but after a bit of research switched my preference for a 12v compressor type. My camper has a 260amh battery with 2 solar panels so it made sense to go with the 12v. I've returned after a 4 week trip (2 weeks on 240v and 2 weeks on 12v including traveling with fridge in back of Ute plugged into camper.) I ran the fridge constantly all day and night, plus lights and charging phones and ipads and my battery was fully charged by m...Read more
id afternoon. I had it set on 1deg placed outside and 30deg + days didn't change it performance. Its quiet and cools really quickly after being opened. I was looking at the 40l but am so glad I spent the extra $140 and want with the 50l. Came with Waeco summer pack. Stand, Handheld wireless thermometer, Cover, hat and cooler. Really Happy with this fridge. Update: I still have mine in the garage and it run constantly as we use it as a spare drinks fridge.(12/17)Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Tough as nails Waeco CFX-50
Couldn't be happier with the CFX-50. Had the misfortune to end up with the Waeco down the Bitumen at 110 km/h. Very scratched on the front, wrecked the bag. Plugged her in when i arrived at destination and it works perfectly. It has not missed a beat . Stays nice and cold and beats the old esky and ice any day.
Reliable,value for money

Hi there, my CFX 50 runs on 240v, runs on 12 volt in emergency override (so the fuse is good) but it wont run in normal 12volt operation. The dual battery is currently sitting on 13.4 volts and the fridge is set to Low voltage shutoff. Any ideas / thoughts as to why it wont run would be greatly appreciated. P.s we are thousands of KMs from home.

CFX will prefer 240v AC supply if connected along with 12v DC input.
The voltage cut off settings will take charge when CFX runs on 12v DC; no impact when it runs from AC supply.

I set the fridge to - 4 it never stays as that. Within a few hours it can drop to minus 29degrees Celsius. It has done since we first got it only been used a handful of times. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Can u help.

Probably your emergency override is switched on! Check it
After rereading instructions I realised I wanted it at 4 degrees not -4. The problem fixed itself after that. Will keep override switch in mind . Thank you for your reply.

Any help?

Hi Mano, Yep same sort of thing happened with the first one we had. It's stuffed. Take it back. As I mentioned in my testimonial it seems the first few batches had faults but our 3rd one we can't fault. It's actually working better than My Engel and my ARB!! The temperature pulls down in no time compared with the others. Don't bother listening to the retailers, just demand a new one or go to the Ombudsman. Make sure you inform them you intend to do so.
Best of luck
