This tyre has improved over time
Had to replace 2 tyres on my previous X-Trail at 65000k. The factory fitted Dunlops on my current X-Trail are due for replacement with 105000k on the odometer. Seems these tyres have undergone some improvement over the years. I keep them inflated at 38psi and rotate with every service. Handling on the road and occasionally on dirt roads is fine but I am no rally driver either. Grip in the wet is probably not a strong point but I put the car in 4WD when it rains and the problem goes away. Roll resistance and fuel efficiency is as good as it gets. Overall a great mix of performance and longevity. So I have no hesitation to replace the tires with the same Dunlop Grandtrek ST20.

Thanks Team Dunlop - with the help of a special in April I did replace the tires with the same type - no regrets.

60k out of these
My 2013 Xtrail has just clocked up 60k on these. No other tyre I've owned has got me this far. With only 2 wheel alignments and balances from new. No off roading, just highway travels around Australia. Highly recommend. I'm afraid I probably won't get this far on a new set, as nothing beats the originals that come with a new car unfortunately.

Good mileage, average grip.
Got ~90,000km out of these on a 2011 diesel Xtrail. I'd consider my driving style a little faster than normal, but I'm very smooth through corners, which is where most of your wear comes. Great for soft sand once you let them down (I go as low at 8psi!!).
4 stars because I don't know the replacement price.

Slippery in wet conditions
These are factory fitted to my T31 Xtrail and are very slippery in the wet. So bad that when I had my last service at 47,000km and they told me I needed new tyres I was excited by the fact I could justify buying new ones that are not ST-20's! I had Goodyear Eagles on a previous vehicle and will be going back to them. Unless I softly accelerate in the wet I get wheel spin (and this was from day one). I'm certainly not a 'hoon', but if I need to accelerate moderately to get out of a driveway or side road in traffic it feels like I'm risking m...Read more
y life. Just the other day I experienced wheel spin in the dry doing the same (and they are not completely worn, should still get 7000km out of them according to my mechanic) so will be booking in ASAP to get rid of them. I do mainly city driving with 25% on the freeways.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Poor ks
Got a 2013 Diesel XTrail purchased in 2014 at the runout sale, need replacing after just 37000 ks or 20 months. The handle really well in wet and dry but wear too quick for my liking. Won't buy these as replacement, no way. Too dear for too little ks, better options out there.

Very comfortable but wanted more kms
I had ST-20 on my X-Trail as standard. Mix of city, highway and off road usage. Got 38k kms out of them. Having said that, local roads are in serious disrepair and the roadworks on M4 have added to the rubber being munched. I did get them again though because they are big on comfort, low on road noise and able to handle terrain. And because I wasn't interested in going to A/T tyres for primarily tarmac driving.

Bestest!
Having just read the reviews, I have 97,000 klms on my X-Trail, now at 1.5mill, need to change over. Will be getting the same, hopefully Japanese made. Love my X-Trail, got the best mileage for the tyres, even a dealer said, WOW! That was at 87,000. Country and metro driving.

Never Again
Fitted brand new set with new alloys straight from New Outlander at 177k klm. Kept align, balance up to date, only light city driving, couple 200 klm highway trips, just replaced at 208k klm around 20 months, apprx 31k klm, two tyres at min markers, Dunlop could not advise when more stock coming, and that useage, never buy again, went alternative Brand. Fiited 09 2013 for Japan tyres, crap.

Worst ever
Had constant wheel alignments and they were squeaky and has very poor grip. Have but bottom of the line tyres that did more kilometers and has better grip. Only got 30,000 out of them till the policeman said I need to get new ones. Don't even bother

Got 62000 km
No problems for 62000 k, rotated as per book on service. Only checked pressures when having its service. Off road on farm track for 20k per week. Rest highway. Road noise is acceptable even on bad highway. Tyre Dealers try to sell me off but what's not to like?. Will buy again
mileage good

Dunlop ST20 Grandtrek
I do at least 80% of my driving in the country and a fair bit on a range. I found these tyres slippery when cornering right from day ONE. New car original tyres. I never really could put my faith in them. I won't be buying them again when I replace my tyres.
They were on the car when I bought it
Not enought grip

I have a similar experience to unimpressed. I was talked into them by a guy at a Beaurepaires, replacing the Yokahamas on my Subaru. They are bad around the corners - and expensive. My gut feeling is ... Read more

Good tyre but poor k's
As far as city (60%) and off-road (towing a 1.5T camper trailer; 40%) driving goes i was v impressed - only i flat (staked) that i was able to plug and it's still going. Came standard on the XTrail but i wont go with them again - only got 40,000 k's out of them & that's with log book rotation etc.
Impressed with their overall performance - i asked a lot: Gibb R Rd, Great Central Road & they did well
I wont get more than 40,000 k's out of them and i think that's pretty poor.

Same situation, did close on 25k klm towing a camper trailer, no problems however tread wear is terrible as I need to replace at 35k klm. I also recall a recent incident where I had the T31 Deiesl Xtr... Read more

Terrible
Poor mileage for little additional benefit. Mileage was mostly on road with about 5 - 10% dirt road. Must be used to reduce cost of vehicle.
Nothing outstanding
Only 25000 km on a XTrail T31 (fitted as original equipment)

Terrible
came standard with the xtrail. would have been happy with 40000km but feel ripped off. a voice was nagging me about getting different tyres at the showroom, but just wanted to go.
nothing. the con outweighed everything.
didn't last.
only got 28000km out of them.
about 2000k was on gravel road (marree to windorah mainly), the rest was highway cruising at 80-110km/hr

Excellent
No issues with noise comfort or anything like that, more concerned with the fuel economy particularly now that I am not getting those numbers with the replacement tyres (not the ST20 as they were still on a slow boat)
Lasted 66000 Km. Fuel economy for the 2008 Diesel Xtrail - hovered between 6.5-6.8 per 100 km
only lasted 66000 km
